So we have to find this out via a "Trump tweat"?????   Come on Carnival you can do better than that.... Royal, NCL, MSC all announced earlier.... And you leave us in limbo???????? We understand the reasoning but come on....

The Carnival meeting literally happened at 530pm and Trump tweeted practically as soon as it was over... They will be contacting svelte, but at least everyone knows.

We all know it's probably already posted on every media outlet on and offline.

I have 4 cruises with Carnival scheduled for April and May - all booked under a casino offer of some type. All are "free" (pay a $200 deposit and receive $200 OBC). No letter yet - I'm wondering if my cruises will qualify for this offer.

Same situation here, booked on casino rate. We have 2 cabins booked. No email yet and we Sail in 2 weeks!

How will this prevent people from traveling while sick? You have to take advantage by March 31, and many aren't sailing until after that date, so they could still go while not feeling well. Even if you have up to 3 days prior to cancel, illness can strike in those 3 days prior to boarding. I do think RC's using the digital thermometer scanner IS a deterrant for people who are ill from heading to the port and trying to board.

I'm not sure I like this idea... What if all you have is a simple head cold? I'm getting over one now and I'm fine after 3 days. But if someone "screened" me I would be turned back at the port?

  3. The Magic and Dream balcony cabin's fridges were ice cold.

Not in my experience. My Dream cabin fridge was pretty lukewarm last year. I even tried turning it up and no dice. Had to drink warm Red Bull all week! :o

I guess it depends on what room you get...

  4. If you like dancing to Euro-Techno-Disco, then go to Bambu. That's where the ship's crew will be that have the night off. My daughter went there with one of the Blackjack dealers (he was from England). She said it was crazy with all the different nationalities there.

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestion! :D

  5. We met in the lobby and then went into the galley. Had a few light appetizers and a galley tour and then moved to the library for the meal. Did half the meal, took a break and then finished the meal.

Here's the menu, but it's tiny - wouldn't let me upload a larger size

    Thanks so much! =)

  6. Just did The Chef's Table on the Victory last week - it was great! It was a lot of food though! It was the last night of the cruise and we went straight to bed afterwards! Chef told us the new menu would starting rolling out in March I believe.

What location was it on Victory??? Do you remember any of the food items? Want to do this for birthday since there isnt a Steakhouse on board.

  7. I'm sure this doesnt add to the post count but it irks me enough to mention it EVERY time people bring up this "service" dog discussion... On a short flight down the east coast (less then 3 hours) an able bodied man brought a rather large dog on a southwest flight, this was some type of labrador which arent tiny to say the least, just walking about uncaged. As this was a Southwest flight I sat about a few rows behind so as not to be disturbed. Once the plane landed and we got off, I noticed my bag was SOPPING wet and reeked of urine. I did have my bag under the seat in front of me, but it appears the dog may have "went" during the flight and it rolled back and my bag was the happy recipient of being dripping in dog pee. I was LIVID... I told Southwest who offered me a $100 voucher to make up for replacing the bag but still... I travel multiple times per month so these days if there is a pet onboard that isnt caged, I sit on the OPPOSITE side of the plan and way far back.

I also have seen people in the MDR with dogs who they feed under the table which I know is not something service pets usually do.

  8. Oh no! So Dream is switching over to American Table permanently? We sail in May and I liked the old menus.

Edit: A quick Google pulled up a page on Carnival's own site stating the following:

"NEW DINNER CONCEPT: AMERICAN TABLE AND AMERICAN FEAST........This new complimentary dinner concept is currently on the following ships: Carnival Breeze, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Glory, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Magic, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Pride, Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Triumph and Carnival Vista. Please note: This experience may vary slightly among these ships. "

:( Why couldnt they at least wait til May!??!?
