Believe me, I don't mean to be alarmist. I have to make a decision within the next 2 weeks as to whether or not to do the Western Mediterranean cruise in July. I really would love to look forward to it and I think it sounds like a great cruise, although I have been to Italy before in 2013, so if I don't get to do it this year, I will be okay. I understand what the odds are, that the possibility is remote. I am trying to figure out if there is more of a risk this year or if next summer would be better or worse. I am about 50/50 in deciding what to do.
In 1985, I traveled to Rome a week after a substantial terrorist attack and felt safe because the country was on high alert and I thought the chances of a second attack so soon were slim but I was younger then. I have gotten premonitions before but it is difficult to tell if this is one or not. My sister worked in the Twin Towers on 9-11. She decided not to go to work that day and was spared. She did not work in the city for years afterward from fear. My co-workers cousin worked in the Twin Towers that day. She left the building when the first tower was hit. All her co-workers were killed. So it is not anything that anyone can predict. I am truly undecided and change my mind every day.
These are the things that scare me.

Not sure if I should postpone until I feel more comfortable.

I'm new to all this, this is my first cruise, and signed up for my one, but there not that chatty in roll calls except one or 2 people will chat back , I even asked do we bring something small from our hometowns to the meet and mingle ,, coz iv read that on other pages on cruise critic, But no one answerd me, lol I don't have a clue what happens at these, or what there like,

Looks like Captain Tore Grimstad.
thank you
-
What captain will we have on the Allure of the seas in the Mediterranean in May?
-
It's being taken out of context. Look up Harryfat2 on here. He is really a nice guy with thousands of followers. The "peasant" comment was joke. He has jokes through out his 53 page review of the Allure of the Seas. Even makes fun of his own race. It's all in good fun.
Here's a link to the post. Check it out and cut the guy a break.
I'm going to look at it now thank you,

Thanks lads, I am looking forward to it, im dreaming about been on the ship at night when I go to bed, even in work my boss says to me, Pam ur on the allure again wake up, coz I'm in a daze , lol lol he is going himself on the same cruise a month after me,
-
That's ignarent to say sitting with the peasants, I'm a first time cruiser aswell, going in May, We won't go to the meet and mingle coz we'd be afraid to meet people like that, we will stick on our own, we don't have big jobs or anything like that, we are not loaded to be going on cruises the hole, we are very lucky to be going on this one, once in a life time for us, I'd be very nervous to meet people like that,

Why wouldn't you be able to bring razors on the plane?
I duno I'm just quessing, that's why I asked!!
-
We put those items in our checked baggage.
Also, you may find a small selection of those items onboard, but they will be expensive. Better to stop at a store on the way to the port.
Thank you Clarea

Can you buy deodorant and pack of disposable razors on the Allure of the seas, as we can't bring them on the plane,
-

They also don't just randomly capsize there. Don't worry about it. Sounds like a nice trip to take.
Thank you, this is our first cruise, the nearest thing we got to a ship was Irish ferries crossing over the Irish Sea to the uk, lol lol

No I'm not, there is no haggis in an Irish breakfast, it's sounds English or a Scottish breakfast, but definitely not in an Irish breakfast,
