They drop you off right at the entrance where you hand off your checked luggage.

We stayed at the wyndham garden newark airport hotel. And I wouldn't recommend it.

There was a huge cockroach walking up the wall in the restaurant and the staff was so used to it that they weren't even interested in removing it.

When we came back after the cruise to pick up the car we found several dead cockroaches in the bathroom.

So we'll be trying a different hotel this year with parking arrangements.

Car service was less than 100 dollars each way with uber. I'm sure you can get it cheaper if you shop around for a little bit.

That's still cheaper than parking at the cruise terminal ( especially for longer cruises ), and means I don't have to drive through NYC myself.

Don't book through the NCL website. Call them instead. Tell them you are Canadian and would like to be billed in Cdn $. Their exchange rate will be better than the banks. Likely around 1.19 at this point in time.

At this point they're no longer offering the free UBP for that voyage.

And for a 19 day cruise that far outweighs the benefits of cancelling to get a better exchange rate.

I guess I'll know for next time and hope the oil price will go up and drive the CAD up before my final payment on this one.

How do you book in Canadian dollars?

I went through ncl.com but all their prices are always in USD for me.

Which means I pay whatever the bank's exchange is on the day that I pay for something.
