IMHO It was dirty, service in MDR was Pisspoor, quit eating there. You get 2 pats of butter, ask for more and your food will be cold and no salt and pepper shakers. Food in Horizon was really good and you can order eggs anyway you want. Steak wasn't worth the upsell as it was only choice. We quit Princess. There's too much of the Califorinia attitude of I'm Elite. Almost no ones cares to know who you are as long as they think they are better. We did meet some nice people onboard.

We do Princess but last Cruise was our last Cruise on them. Crown was pretty cruddy and we had several things happen that were their fault including screwing up our M&G, they skipped going around the tip of the Horn saying 100 MPH wind but a ship left for Antartica that day. Dinner was so late being served one night our friends almost walked out. (1 hr more than usual) They give 2 pats of butter if you want more everyone else is through with their meal before you get it. Milkshakes were $2.50 xtra for a 8 oz glass of fake icecream actually.

BWAHAHA! I just laughed at the Troopers are there to ruin your week! They are there to save lives. If you get stopped in Texas, you deserve a ticket the way people drive. I drive the speed limit and have been passed on the berm a lot of times.

Compare it with the CP Rail Road. Horton took it over, sold 300 Locomotives and they had a shortage to haul grain with but he made money for the Shareholders. Cruise lines are cutting back service and then wonder why we tell them to go to hell because the experience and food are just like a cattle car. We quit Princess due to their shoddy service. In 2010 it was impeccable. 7 years is all it took.

My wife is disabled and we use Ham Radio but only minimally and usually in the morning when I'm off getting her breakfast-coffee etc., never ashore in foreign countries due to restrictions and not without Captains permission.

Was on Diamond 3 wk after in 2010. Still painting inside, railings, 1 restaurant was not open whole cruise. Ship was beautiful, crew impeccable, food good.

Another Privy Passenger Perk gone awry. I wouldn't pay it. I wouldn't eat PJs Pizza either. We get to a ship after the rush and before the final call. Walk right up and no one is in line for lunch. Plenty of food and the dust is settling, get to our cabin, luggage is there, unpack and go to drill then a nap. Didn't cost any extra. don't want upgrades or Perks.

BWAHAHA! Suite Perk Mentality. We were on Crown Princess and got Mediocre service in a few places including the 2 pats of butter at dinner, you ask for more and everyone is done eating by the time it arrives. No more cookies and milk with MUTS, they tell u go get your own. Crown was pretty dirty and Rusty in places. We sailed on Diamond in 2010 and it was impeccable. On formal night on Dawn, we were turned away at dining for being underdressed, (late arrival from a Princess trip) and lucky we were as it took an extra hr to serve dinner with no explanation to our friends. And Children.....? There were children aboard. Of all the OOOOOOHHHHHHH I can't go on.............LOL They allowed Rednecks aboard, Me being one of them.

You mean I have to have a visa to get into Fl. now? GOSH! Not as expensive as Brazil. Silly to pay $5000-6000 for a cruises , drink 500 worth of booze but not be willing to pay for a Russian Visa. I'm not accusing anyone of drinking that much booze but using it as an example of being thrifty for the wrong reason. Price of the Visa is less than the price of a tour.

They do come close in Horizon with Taters, fried chicken but havn't had fried chicken and waffles because their waffles are awful with the fake Maple Syrup.No Chicken fried steak with Sausage gravy either. The English Pub food was probably close to England. Soggy Chips, Soggy tasteless fish and served lukewarm. 2 times I might add.

Google it. Lot's on there. It is nice as far a gyms go. Golds it ain't. Can't get that much on a ship that size but it is adequate.

We didn't go with anything as we paid with a Credit Card that backs us up and we have VA and VACHAMP. We don't worry too much although in Italy the Care in a hospital can be lousy to none. My wife is Italian and said her Dad went to the hospital with Gall Bladder prob. on Fri, they looked at him Mon. and by then had to evac him to Rome 70 mi away for emergency surgery. No one was in the hospital, Nurse, Dr or staff all weekend. Yet, the best telephone service in the world there.:eek:
