  1. My experience with the pushy people was when we would sait for our turn for an elevator and my wife was in a scooter. some people tried to push me out of the way to get on but I weigh 210 and am 6 ft and don't push. Some people are very rude to wheel chair occupants Yup! People bump into you but with 3000 on a ship they are bound to. We eat real late and leave the venues last to avoid the pushing. Works quite well. I remember our first Cruise and our Last, the other 50 are a blur. If someone gets up from a lounge chair and is gone very long I tell people they left. LOL

  2. I lost a card on a Cruise. Luckily they let me back on board with no ID. There was a US Resident Officer at the Gangway who escorted me aboard and told me to get to the Pursers desk. I wear a lanyard with my card and coffee cards in a plastic sleeve and loop it through a belt loop and then put it in my pocket. Haven't lost one since. Don't care what people think or say. Think it's funny that Mr TruckherderDave brought up the fact this thread was over a year old and he still had to answer! BWAHAHA! You're not gonna believe this but...............................

  3. Pack according to carry on rules. We have always used the Steward the night before and found our luggage quickly, right next to the cabs and vans. Never had one problem. We use frequent flyer Credit Cards and miles then pay to update to business class. We flew to China from IAD biz class for $149 on UAL, Iad to New Delhi for $100 biz class on Lufthansa, and from IAD to PTY-Santiago Chile business Class and I'm not sure how much the upgrade was. They are all UAL Alliance partners.

  4. HMMMM! My experience on Crown was at Sabitinis we had Olive Oil and Basalmic Vinegar to dip our bread in which is appropriate in Italy. My wife is Italian so she doesn't care if she has butter. It seems like since I started cruising with Princess they had cut service and if you asked for more butter no one had time to get it. Why do they have a whole bowl of it in Horizon? No body knows do you?:D We did get travel Logs from Crown on Jan 4th in Rio. Kind of neat to have. There was only 1 8 year old on the Ship and he didn't like Cookies.

  5. They cut warm cookies and milk from evening MUTS and have now changed wording to daytime wqarm cookies and milk. Who wants them in the afternoon? I agree with the beef issue also. I'd compare it to the Railroads who hire College Grads to cut costs. They have no experience with Cruising, quality or how people feel. They cut back on the number of Employees. It's Nickle and Dime people to death. I've had my last Cruise with Princess. I want what I pay for. I should get Impeccable Service, the quality of Food from 1980s, and what they promise. Instead It's all Upsell, You want a Coke with that? That will be $2.50 extra, Rolls will be $1.00, You want Butter? BWAHAHAHAHAH:eek:

  6. You can order anything you want in MDR anyway. Our friend was on a Salt Free diet and they gave her a special menu to order a day ahead. The Head waiter said you can have anything you'd like, just order it. I ordered Hot and Cold Blondes, Brunettes and Redheads but they sent me to the Theater. Hah! On Crown they never prepared anything that I saw tableside. They did Bananas in caramel in the MDR but away from the tables.

  7. Mitchell, My statement was to the lady who said her son was Autistic and rode the elevators for comfort. I simply asked her a question if she had read a book. Why is that an infraction on Cruise Critic or do you just hand out infractions for the fun of it? Did you give her an infraction for saying she read it?

  8. Jagsfan, Just start a sheet with everyones name and cabin number and keep reminding them. Lot of people don't listen or think they know it all on these forums. Go to your ships name, date of sailing and set up a Roll Call if there isn't one. Some people wait til the day before sailng and ask you to remind them of date and time so be patient.

I was informed by The Officer On Duty on Crown who was in charge at the Pursers desk on Dec 21 2017 not to put it in the Patter so you could be wrong this time. Her statement was,'So many uninvited guests showed up we had to ID and turn people away who weren't on the list so they now ask for names and Cabin # for ea invited guest.

  9. We just came back from S Am. and winds were 50 knots 2nd day and 75 the 3rd day. They wouldn't allow anyone on deck fearing they'd become human kites. A 900 ft long ship isn't going to notice 40 knot winds except to heel over some if it's from the side.
