First time sailing on RCI. We are Platinum status due to Celebrity cruises.
Doing Liberty out of Fort Lauderdale (Terminal 25 scheduled so far). Any real advantages of the 'priority check' mentioned in the C&A benefits for Platinum status ?
-
We are sailing on the Liberty soon, and I plan to get to the pier around 12-1215. Hopefully initial rush is done, and the cabins will be available shortly after we board. After a quick look, then to the Windjammer (maybe) for lunch (or Sorrento/Promenade)
Sailing with 85/83 year old parents. Less time waiting in lines and terminals the better !

Sailing soon on Liberty and RCI for the first time. Looking forward to the Olive or Twist bar. Seems like it has the view !!!!!

First, thanks for the pix and the quick responses !
How was the sound "proofing" between 8500 and 8200 ? Just with all those folks in one cabin, i thought the 'noise' from the neighbors may be an issue
-
Wow ! I had no idea 8500 on Liberty would look like this !
Thanks

Just booked 8500 on Liberty. Really challenging getting past cruiser experiences. And available photos are GENERIC Family Oceanview cabins.
Any insights. opinions, thoughts, on 8500 on Liberty (or other Freedom class ships, I assume within that the Freedom class, that 8500 is the same)
Thanks.

Long Long walk from pier to Total Wine, longer coming back with wine !

Funny story: A friend and his partner went on first cruise (not sure line). Booked a window cabin. Then...free upgrade to the swankiest suite!
Why ? Not sure....but he was a doctor, and I think MD (medical doctor), plus trying to build loyalty of new cruiser, and the (misconception) that all gays have money !

We like to load up some favorite movies/shows on the iPad/iPhone and some night we like to relax in the stateroom and watch them in the evenings.
Is it possible to hook up an iPad/iPhone to the stateroom television on the Liberty?
If so, can some 'geek' tell me what type of cable i need? HDMI? other? -
OP: I plan on telling my Mom (83) and sister that the Cupcake class was full, so I booked them on the Flowrider/Rock climbing class instead !
Just kidding.

About the Cupcake place classes:
1. My mom (83) and sister (56) are thinking of doing this (some bonding thing they say, but they really just like cupcakes). So are the classes just for kids or are two adults ok ?
2. Can I pop in and take pictures during the decorating ?
3. Can you reserve in advance prior to cruise, or is that really even necessary?
Thanks.

I have seen links to the regular room service menu. Does any have a link to the room service menu for suites ?
-
Breakfast / Lunch at Cagneys is for suite guests (no mini suites) only and at no charge.

Going on the Solstice in November. Finished my online checkin, and printed off the Xpasses. Read on here that luggage tags not available for ordering until 'edocs' are available. So, what is the difference between edocs and the Xpass ? Just luggage tags ? Just seems like with the Xpass i have what i need (plus passport and credit card) to board the ship.

Thanks to everyone for the input. Sounds like QM2 will be just fine for us !
-
My partner and I (very late 40s) are thinking of trying QM2. Have enjoyed HAL and X in the past. As a gay couple, we have experienced no problems from either crew or fellow passengers on HAL and X and in fact have found the cruises to be accepting. Does anyone have any experiences, either from a straight passenger perspective or gay passenger, about how the atomsphere is on Cunard for gay passengers. (And yes, I will post the the Gay and Lesbian board too).

First, yes, yes, we all love kids, but....
I have found the best time to cruise without school/college age kids is from the Monday after Thanksgiving to mid-December. And the best cruise lines for less kids are Celebrity and Holland.
Liberty/Lauderdale/Luggage tags at the pier?
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
I am unable to print out the luggage tags at home prior to the cruise (long story, but the final point is ..no printing of paper tags)
Any helpful hints about doing this at the pier with the porters ? Should i go ahead and put a plastic tag on with CABIN XXXX on the luggage in addition to the porter provided ones?
First time not having tags in advance !
