  1. Just be grateful for what you get and give away what you don't need. Why complicated everything? There is no way to please thousands of people on every cruise.

Couldn’t agree more. A handful of these people are spoiled frequent cruisers that think they are entitled to much better things. They’ll never be pleased. So what if they have one already. There are lots of blue to gold cards that would happily accept any free gift you don’t care for.

  2. Again, some idiot kept the luggage for the week, yes the wife was "inconvenienced" without fresh bra's and underwear, Carnival came through and gave them opportunity to purchase new items for a significant discount, luggage returned, and still want more. Maybe we can set up a "go fund me" account to replenish your items....which you have back...

So please tell me..exactly....what more do you want Carnival to do for you.....free cruises, refund your cruise, monetary compensation above and beyond your cruise fare...so I can sleep tonight

I’d say they are looking for the 100% refund if indeed this actually happened. Op can easily be one of these multiple name guys that make these 1st post stories up. Happens more than you think.

  3. Only on CC can a thread about an incident turn into an argument about whether or not it’s legal to post photos/videos. Anyway, great job by Carnival taking immediate action compensating the affected passengers. Very generous offer.

  4. Anyone play MyVegas just on their computer? Can you play completely for free? We are looking to earn towards OBC.

    Thanks for help.

I’ve been playing for years. Yes you can play for free. Every few hours you collect points to play with and once a day there’s an additional bonus which gives you more. I have enough points for the free Carnival cruise but unfortunately they only offer Galveston, Baltimore and Long Beach. They offer obc on Royal. I have gotten many free shows and rooms in Vegas with the game.

  5. The problem is, imo , People think they know how they should of handled it, when in reality they have NO clue. They just want to put blame on the security instead of the people who caused all this. I hope in the end, Carnival prevails and shuts up all these nay-sayers.

I agree but it’s not that bad outside of this thread and some media outlets. Op was probably shaking when he got to start this thread. I say no matter how foolish they look let them have their fun.

  6. News conference. Captain and Carnival executives side by side to respond to all of this. Only way to move on past all of this.

Are you serious? I promise 99.9% of Carnival cruisers have already moved past this. Sure this investigation will go on for a while but for us outsiders, it’ll be forgotten in no time. Of course there’s a select few here that’ll never step foot on a Carnival ship that will try to keep this incident alive but they’ll fail like they always do.

  7.

I'm convinced that the only people cruising Carnival are the people that have been cruising them for decades. Just imagine - if you were young with a family and you were trying to decide on your first family vacation, and you have no prior cruising experience, would you really choose Carnival after all of the stuff thats been in the media in recent years?

Well on my 3 Carnival cruises last year, 50% were blue card holders so you can toss that theory out of the door. And as bad as the media can be, they don’t come close to blowing up a story like this forum does, including this one.

  8. How ridiculous, how can you report it to security when they are busy kicking passengers on the ground?

I suggest you watch the video, there is no excuse.

I watched the video. I wouldn’t even call them passengers. They were trouble makers that deserved to get the cr_p beat out of them.

  9. Blows my mind how many people are this bothered by isolated incidents and let it affect future trips for them.

It’s not nearly as bad as you think. I promise you 99.9% of future trip holders won’t even blink an eye at this. Most here that say it just like to bash. They don’t have a cruise booked and never intended to book one. But it makes them feel good.

  10. Really need to find out root cause of what caused all this. I have seen people really out of control that act like complete idiots. I'm not saying the staff has the right to kick someone when they are down but sometimes people, whether passenger or not, need a good kicking. I'm pretty sure if he would of calmed down it would not of escalated to this level.

I agree the kicking was probably unnecessary, but let the bashers have their fun concentrating on that instead of the real problem that led to it.

  11. It's a horrible and outdated ship. Stains all over the carpets, cracked tiles, rust all over the ship, my bathroom toilet had a permanent black stain that wouldn't come off, nightstand door was cracked, and the ship is just plain worn down! Then again, most of Carnival's ships are either like that or failing CDC inspections.

If this kid actually cruised carnival he’d see just of ridiculous his post are. But then again some people are hopeless.

  12. Just curious if this was the last straw for any Carnival cruisers? The results were quite shocking with the the crew blatantly trying to hide infractions from inspectors?

Bet this thread didn’t go the way you hoped it would with about 90% staying with Carnival. Another nope for me too. Looking forward to Carnival cruise in May.

  13. Oh quit being so dramatic. You can still order your milk and sandwich. Except now it’s going to cost you a few bucks. Drink one less drink in the piano bar and it all evens out.

Excellent!!!!! Most of us here get it. I’ll. always be amazed that people dish out thousands for the cruise and drinks but come here to complain about a $5 meal after 10.

  14. Sounds like a good way to cut down on waste. I can't believe how much room service food that gets thrown out based on the trays I have seen in the hallway.

Couldn’t agree more. But yet now we have 2 threads on this to listen to some people that have never stepped foot on a Carnival ship whine about cutbacks and so on. In almost feel sorry for them.

  15. I’d rather move to another sailing, especially if it’s Triumph. At least they aren’t sailing out with problems, lest anyone forget about Triumph’s past issues with folks stranded at sea for days with no water, air conditioning, and sewage running down the halls.

Almost 5 years old news. Been on the Triumph many times since with no issues at all. As for this canceled cruise, in-laws getting full refund and 25% off on next booking. They are in much better shape than most since they live close to the port.
