I got an email a week or so ago cancelling our cruse of May 31.  They offered a refund or FCC but I have to wait until May 7 to apply for the refund.  Now, today, another email saying they have issued a FCC !  I guess I'll have to call them and wait in line for xx minutes (hours?) to get this straightened out.  Any other thoughts as to what I should do?

Everyone was issued the FCC regardless...once you apply for the refund on May 7th and the refund is issued in 90 days, the FCC will disappear

marktwothousand - Saw a news report on TV that one very disgruntled passenger basically lost it and created a melay.  He was upset over all the ports/countries refusing to let the Encore dock due to possible coronavirus infections on board and that passengers were not being kept up to date by Encore.

Do you have a link to a news article or was it just on tv...I searched and didn’t find anything. Also, what ports denied the encore since they just left Miami on Sunday and their first stop isn’t until San Juan later today...

NCL ferry? Do you mean tender life boat (one from the ship)?

Because if that crashed onto a few rocks and was damaged without ever noticing the ship that would be more serious than a $60 cab ride. :classic_mellow:

NCL contracts a free ferry for passengers from the dockyard to St. George

  4. It's a live table...cash games usually start at night and tourements are during sea days, and some times of short port days, there maybe an alter noon tourney. Cash games can sometimes happen during the day if there is enough interest, but that is rare.

    What ships have Starbucks?

Currently, the getaway, bliss and joy. The encore will have it once its finish and I'll take a guess they will add it to the escape after it's dry dock

They did not let us use our app on the Jade in March. Told us they were an independent affiliate franchise.

On the joy, bliss, getaway, encore and probably on the escape after its dry dock, they have actual Starbucks shops, so you can use the app...all the other shops just serve Starbucks coffee in the atrium cafe so you can't use the app there

I was on this cruise with my husband too. We were in our cabin on the 14th floor when the incident occurred and yes, the floor was at a greater than 10 degree incline for 5 minutes. In the realm of civility, it is important to realize that the 4900 passengers and however many crewmembers all had unique experiences. Even without physical injury, for some, it was traumatic; others were able to cope well. I spoke to passengers and several crew who were traumatized, and attempting to process thoughts and feelings for the rest of the cruise. I’m thinking of the people who were inside elevators, the people who had never been on a cruise before, the people with chronic mobility issues sliding across an entire lounge on the floor...so many unique circumstances that impact how someone reacts to stress or crisis. Many people believed that they were going to die. As a reminder, no one had access to their life vest, as they are not stored in the cabins, but instead in the muster stations. The lack of accessibility to a life vest increased anxiety. I am glad that graphicguy is so incredibly underwhelmed by his experience of it all, but his individual anecdotes are just that, anecdotes.

Life jackets are stored under the bed in the cabins

Incredibles 2, animation film by Disney played in Atrium lobby earlier. Folks already beginning to return to the ship. Passengers boarding the ship here w. luggage, saw a few at Guest Services ??

Supplies being offloaded by trailers, also crews on vacation & rotation arriving and leaving, using their special gated entrance.

Picture of the nearest beach just off port side as we came in. An odd arrival protocol with fire & rescue truck on standby at the pier earlier.

Tonight is LeBistro night for us, reminder VM call about long pants. Booked Moderno next week. Plenty of specialty dining availability, even today & also reserved more MDR time for those nights that we couldn't book weeks ago. Even Teppanyaki is NOT entirely booked or soldout as of today.  Food Republic was sold out even when we boarded.

Host/ess at the MDR, both Taste & Savor are asking & trying to steer folks into sharing tables of 6 as 2-2-2, especially at peak time. Just a FYI heads up. I stood firm last night that we had a confirmed reservation on a table for 2. I am fine with other folk's tables 8 inches away as they split up long tables. This could be a hot topic for some ... On thr christmas cruise, food republic also showed sold out, but it was never full...I think it's just the way they have it on the app... and I saw the same thing with thr fire truck on that cruise, we also had an ambulance there for a patient offload when we docked

BTW this is exactly why I purchased the Nationwide Luxury Cruise insurance. If you got that insurance, you would be paid 1250.00/person for the change. My Jan Escape cruise just switched our itinerary and now we will each get 1250.00 for the change. There are 6 people on my policy. Purchase that insurance next time and you will be much happier about the weather change 🙂

If I might ask, what was the change on the Jan escape cruise...

  10. The ships have a zero tolerance policy if you get caught...happened on a cruise Jan 17, two people got caught on the ship and were escorted off in Puerto Rico. Just because the country you are going to has made it legal, doesn't mean the way you are getting there has those same policies

  11. If you want to get off the ship without hassle, get up early and be the first few in line. As another person posted earlier and I had the same experience, was in line by 630 and when the all clear came, I was off the ship and waiting for my ride outside within 10 minutes. There will never be a simple solution since the terminal/customs area isn't built to handle this many people.

  12. need a map from embarkation to

    Headliners. Lol

Looking like no live review for Escape inaugural NYC

so is the Breakaway layout the same that you could explain

    Really needing:

Easiest way to run from point A to point B?

Our time is 9:30 on the boarding passes.....pretty sure me and my sneakers are gonna be there at 9 and run! Hubby is directionally challenged...so he will follow lol.

    :cool::cool::cool:

    Thanks so much!

The earliest we will be getting on is probably around 1130... the layout is almost the same as the breakaway.
