  1. I too was on this cruise (just 7 not 11 days). TrapperZimmy is the ultimate mystery shopper. I think I met you TrapperZimmy but you disguise yourself well! (Maybe I shouldn't have been using your profile photo as a reference LOL).

As a first-time Sea Dreamer, I was blown away by the cruise -- in all areas. Even though I had high expectations - SeaDream exceeded them. The crew was outstanding. I had a few panics over some choppy tenders during our excursions to Saba and St. Barths but the crew were so kind and got me on and off with no mishaps.

7 days of being totally spoiled! Also, the British Virgin Island segment of our itinerary was amazing and the beauty of these islands also added to the enjoyment.

  2. I’m a big fan of Grand Case which is about a 15 minute taxi ride from Marigot (and about 25 minutes from the airport.  Marigot has fallen on hard times since Irma so I would not recommend you stay overnight in Marigot.  I like Grand Case because of its lovely seafront and wide choice of great restaurants.  We just returned from a short stay at LTC Hotel and was very happy with it. It has a fun relaxed vibe.

  3. So we are FINALLY going to be embarking on our first SeaDream cruise January 7 2023 St Thomas to St . We are so excited.  I have a question about services on board. If you are not interested in doing one of the official  SeaDream excursions, is there a concierge to help with other arrangements or are we on our own for planning land fun? Thanks

  4. I have sailed on Windstar twice ( on the Windstar).  It’s a great experience especially if you love sailing.  Like SD, no balconies but the cabins are very comfortable.  Also like SD, you can visit small harbours and islands which is great in the Caribbean. The atmosphere is relaxed and resort casual. But it does not offer the same level of personal service as SD or Seabourn. Alcoholic drinks are not included in price.  The service is not as polished as   Seabourn but overall fine.  The biggest disadvantage to me is the greater passenger capacity.

  5. On a very sad note, we have had to cancel our Oct 10th Med cruise because my husband was diagnosed with cancer.  Although the prognosis is hopeful, his chemotherapy and radiation will be ongoing for the next six months.  At first we explored applying our deposit to a future cruise (Seadream was willing to book us until early 2022 with a modest discount on future cruises) we felt that with so much uncertainty in our lives right now, we will revisit this decision in 2021.  Our TA was informed by SeaDream it will take 90 days to get our deposit back.
