    You are welcome!

I just checked the time on the photos we took. We took a train to Kamakura around 9 - 9:30am and returned to the hotel at 3:30pm. We did all we did in a very relaxed pace and lingered here and there... so yes, I think 7 hours is enough time.

Thank you again.  We plan to leave the Yokohama hotel around 8 am, so the timing should work out with boarding the ship around 3 pm.

After the cruise, our flight does not leave until 5 pm.  We plan to self disembark, take the taxi to Haneda Airport, leave our check in luggage at baggage storage and take the train to Tsukiji Market for 3-4 hours.  My son needs his last fix of sushi before leaving Japan.

IMHO reservations are not necessary. If they should be, Koichi would surely recommend it.
If your phone supports an eSim, try Ubigi. Worked great for us.

Thank you for your quick response.

We are planning to stay overnight in Yokohama the day before we board Celebrity Millennium.  We would like to visit Kamakura.  Is 7 hours enough time to visit Kamakura's 3 attractions that you visited?  Our plan is to store our luggage at the hotel and pick them up around 3 pm.  The hotel is within walking distance to Osanbashi.

We booked a Kyoto tour with Koichi san for April 2025.  He was very accommodating with our wish to add/subtract places to visit. Looking forward to a wonderful visit in Kyoto.  Do you recommend making shinkansen reservation from Kobe to Kyoto?  We will be traveling at the start of the Osaka Expo.

What is the best source to get access to the internet while is Japan for Samsung Galaxy smartphone?  We will mainly use the internet for Googlemaps.

We're planning on doing the same. June 15th, 2024. Would you mind telling us how your experience went?

Was it easy to get a taxi, availability, and cost reasonable? How was National Express?

Our departure date has 4 other ships, so around 19k people trying to do something similar.

    Thanks!

Sorry, can't help you.  Our trip was cancelled due to no crew available on the first plane (back in 2022).  Second, the incoming flight was diverted to Canada and our flight was delayed 12 hours.

    Yes.  WhatsApp works just fine.

Always use it in foreign countries.  Travel people like to use it.

Did is specifically in South America (Chile, Argentina) - no problems.

Not sure what you are referring to for a price quote and GB.  Who is quoting you and for what service?

The WhatsApp app is free - you just pay for your phone or nothing if you use wifi.

Sorry, forgot to say the 15 US$ is for the SIM card with 2 GB.  Is wifi readily available in Buenos Aires?

  6. We will be in Buenos Aires in February.  We booked a transfer service with a company that uses Whatsapp to communicate with us.  We are using them 4 times. Does anyone have any experience with Whatsapp?  The price quoted is 15 USD with 2 GB, unlimited Whatsapp for one month.

  7. Hi, I'm new to Celebrity.  My daughter and I are in one room with an all inclusive package.  My son is in another room by himself with out a package.  Since I do not use the wifi, can my son sign in and use my wifi package?  I know on Princess he was able to use my wifi package.

Not a big thing. Have not been asked to see the color on 8 cruises since they put in the system.

Now it is changing to if you have your Medallion or not.

If you have your Medallion and have filled out everything go to green or with medallion.

I will do as you suggest, thank you.

FYI, my QR code is blank, neither blue or green.  Oh well, not going to worry, have to start packing.

That’s good to know, you received your medallions before these changes.

If you have your medallions and were green, you’re ready to go through the green lane.

Ignore the blue, as they are trying to change and update it.

When you arrive, just show your medallions and tell them your in the green lane.  Just ridiculous they can’t program correctly.

     Thank you for your suggestion.

Not unusual. The green to turn blue a few days out. It usually turns back green 24 hours before if you’ve done all the check in.

Yes, the arrival groups on the App has been deleted. Go whatever time you want within the times shown on your travel summary.

However, eventually, all Standard guests will be blue lane only, due to pick up at port requirements for the OM.  Unless, they have started that already.

Are you standard, or do you have a beverage package?

We are standard, but we had our medallions mailed to us.  Just received a text from my daughter, who is in the same room, her medallion states Green Line for both QR code and pre-check.

This is all such a mess Princess has created.  I purchased the Premiere upgrade before Dec price increase and was assured after a lengthy chat with Princess that the new 'perks' were included without paying the difference.  We board the Grand Aug 19th and were the first cruise with these changes implemented; I can just see a huge mess when we get on board.

I have the same situation.  I purchased the Premier upgrade before December price increase.  I logged into my personalizer, selected onboard services, clicked upgrade now.  The screen states "your cost $80 USD per day per guest for Premier upgrade"  IT ALSO STATES " PURCHASED".  It lists all the NEW items (casual dining, OceanNow, and room service)   I printed the pages and will show if needed.  We board the Majestic Princess, August 19th.

If you love spicy Indian food don't expect to find it on Princess. My wife has been pleasantly surprised a few times to find very tasty Indian food but, while very tasty and well seasoned, it was not at all spicy hot. I've tried the Indian offerings a few times and they have generally been good but I love spicy hot and that just is never going to happen with Princess. I have wondered about asking to speak with staff to see if they could fix something for the next night but it hasn't really been worth the effort as I always manage to find something that suits me anyway.

My daughter does not like spicy Indian food so it's perfect.  Thank you for your input.

I can confirm that there's Indian food in the buffet everyday.  Among the choices are daal, naan, papadum, spinach paneer, and various meat curries.  On Indian food theme nights, there will be biriyanis and chutneys.  There's more, but that's all coming to mind right now.

Thank you SCX22.  My daughter will be a happy camper on the cruise.

Yakutania Point.  Short, but it stretches your legs and ends with a nice view.

    Thank you quack2.

That is the one my daughter picked for us.  My son and daughter are also planning on hiking the Lower Dewey lake Trail.
