  1. We are now considering booking the park/stay/cruise package through Trinity. Does anyone who has done this package know what time the shuttle leaves to go to the port and are there more than one time allotted? Is it a Town Car or a shuttle bus? Same question for return to hotel. Do you need to call or is a shuttle waiting? Sounds like it is a recommended source any negatives??

  2. Which would you select .... and why?

Both spend about the same amount of time in Bermuda.

I assume the sailaway from New York is breath-taking, how is the sailaway from Bayonne?

I know Summit is older (we were on her many years ago when she was "it" ... now she's an old lady). We've stayed away from the larger NCL ships because of too many people, however, we're considering Bermuda in May, so perhaps there will be less people, certainly less kids (don't you think:o).

We're just in the beginning stages of planning. So any help you can give me would be appreciated.:)

Personally I LOVED the Summit. Still had fantastic views of the Statue of Liberty and you may still get a birds eye view! One thing to consider going to Bermuda in May/June 2017 is they are hosting the America's Cup. Bermuda is already crowded but will likely be even more so this May/June. As far as kids go - yea less kids on the Summit for sure. Never felt overly crowded.

  3. I am on that cruise too! I did start a Roll Call page but not much activity yet. I do not think the trip is too full yet. Hoping it can get a price drop soon.

Wife and I are also booked on this sailing (July 7-16 Summit). I check for price drops daily as there are tons of cabins still available, including Sky Suites (S1 & S2), Celebrity Suites, on up. I can't imagine there won't be a price drop sometime soon... too many open cabins and suites with less than 5 months remaining.

I am also on the July 7th Cruise... I started a Roll Call for that one and I agree not a lot of activity. It surprised me....maybe soon. I was on the Summit last summer and really enjoyed the ship. A lot of cabins still available but we booked an Oceanview 04 and they are sold out!

  4. I'm not thrilled with it either, but I will gladly sacrifice one small lounge, and one small dining area to get my keep my room cheap by someone willing to pay what they are charging for the suites. If you pay $5 or $10 thousand dollars for a week cruise you should get some benefits that I don't get...especially when we spend less than $2 thousand for the two of us.

I couldn't of said it better! That is exactly how I feel. We were on the Summit last August and I felt there was a good mix of age groups. Some kids too. I loved this ship.

  5. Are you on the July 7th sailing? That is the one we are on.

  6. I am having the same issue! Husband looks so forward to the sauna/steam rooms that have been complimentary on prior cruises. He wants a guarantee he will be able to get a pass. We are already booked but as petty as it may sound it is extremely important to him. I may have to look at a different ship. What was your experience like and how many passes do they sell on the Anthem. Do not feel like having to worry about not getting in.

  7. Sorry to rehash some of this but this is our first time in this area and frankly I am a bit nervous. Yes, Google Maps says to get on Avenue E. If its possible to get in the 440 lane is taking the 440 a better/easier route to the port? We are coming from Western NY and staying in Parsippany the night prior coming down NJ-24 to I-78.

  8. I have read that your express pass name and passport must be identical. My express pass does not include my middle name but the passport does. I did enter my middle name when setting up my express pass but it only lists my first and last name. Is this ok?

  9. Opinions please - How important is it to make reservations prior to cruise? I am usually a "go with the flow" kinda person but do not want to be stuck with no plans either. Would like to go Jet-Skiing and possibly an island tour. Should I make reservations now for a July 31st cruise or can I wait until in Bermuda?

  10. Check this out.

    Somerset Boat Rentals - (441) 234 3145 or (441) 234 0914

What are your opinions on the need to book excursions in advance? Do places like the one above book up real fast? Can you still do with out a reservation? Having no idea what to really expect in Bermuda and not knowing what the weather may be like I hate to commit to an excursion now. Or, is it really advised?

  11. When you drop off your bags at Terminal then proceed to garage are the bags in a secure location and/or do they then take care of loading them on ship? The Baltimore Pier does it that way - you drop off and go park and the next thing you know the bags are at your cabin door. Or do you need to park and come back to retrieve your bags before entering the Terminal?

  12. This is the same route we will be taking late July. 80 to 287 to 24. Are there any nice hotels on 24? Is that a safe area. From Western NY and frankly the looks of what the traffic may be like around the airport is a bit intimidating for us county folk. This would be a Saturday night as the ship leaves on Sunday. We plan on leaving car at the port. Thanks in advance!
