Do you mean this dog? I was also on the Freedom last week.
When I first encountered him on the cruise terminal before embarking, I thought it was a show animal bought in to entertain us while we waited to board. Our embarkation was delayed a couple of hours due to a perceived bomb threat. Seemed that a bomb sniffing dog gave a false positive to a pallet of supplies being loaded onto the ship.
Seriously???????? Now I've seen everything:lips-sealed:

Oh well, we'll all have to wait 'till tomorrow...which will be today in the USA;p

Mmm, no email for me:confused:

Just spoke with Princess & they have no idea why pricing isn't available online. I think she thought I was a bit of an idiot. According to her she had no problem accessing the pricing online. Doh!!!!!! She also asked if I was sure I was Elite...She had my member number, she should have known. Doh!!!!! I am most certainly Elite. Oh well, going to ring again & see what response I get. I have lots of itinerary I want to look at & prefer to peruse cabin availability & book myself. If all else fails I'll wait until tomorrow. No perks there.:(

Thanks everyone for the update.

Is it today that the new schedule is released to Elite members?
I believe so but I'm not seeing anything yet.

Were you booking a balcony or higher?
Also, being logged in makes no difference, the system does not recognize that you are a C&A member.
When starting the booking, on the page where it asks for the number of guests in a cabin there is a spot that you can select to bring up “exclusive rates”. You must select this and enter your C&A number here as well as senior, police, fire or military in order for any discounts to apply.
Thanks for that tip. Certainly makes a difference in price.

During the latest P&O 3 day sale I booked a guaranteed non-obstructed ocean view cabin. This was on a 7 day Brisbane, Airlie Beach,, Cairns o/night, Willis Island itinerary. All up, for 2 pax, cost $1178. Works out at $84 per person, per day. Guaranteed balconies were roughly $1800. Pretty good value in my opinion. I don't normally book guaranteed cabins, but have done so a few times with P&O & have been lucky enough to get a pretty good cabin.

They only have to change the taps in four bars (3 of them outside). That's all there is apart from restaurant bars. Not much for 3000 thirsty passengers. No Horizon Court looks like buffet at World Fresh Marketplace. Call it whatever but I don't fancy any buffet on a ship with over 3000 people. Some serious pushing and shoving and good luck getting a seat.
We were on the inaugural cruise from Singapore to Shanghai , June 2017. On a personal note, we really liked the Majestic. This has been our largest ship & it was nice to be on board where everything is shiny & new. The Horizon Court is now known as Worldwide Marketplace. We found it could be quite busy at breakfast & lunch, depending what time you went, no worse than any other cruise ship buffet. In the evening we never had any problem finding a seat & we ate about 6.30 to 7pm. The seating area is really big & split into 2 sections with different dining furniture. You are free to sit anywhere you like. The Worldwide Marketplace served the usual buffet fare. Our voyage had a little more Asian choices.
We loved the Piazza & International Cafe area.Spectacular. You are quite right, it was the hub of the ship with various entertainment, including short acts lasting about 10 minutes eg acrobats, dancing, dance classes etc. So, it did get very busy, even when there was nothing on. Best IC coffee we've ever had.
Leaves tea bar on deck 7 also made made specialty coffee, but did not open until 11am. As the ship stands at the moment, there is 6 bars. There isn't one in the casino but whilst on board we where told there is an area already to go, just need to remove the wall panels:confused:. We also heard the ship might be going into dry dock prior to its Australian season for some changes. Not sure if either is true.
We boarded the ship with no expectations. It was a totally new ship for us & we expected it to be different to the usual Princess ship home based in Australia & it was. We missed the walk around promenade deck, the choice of venues for trivia was really poor, Princess Live! :(
Much comment has been made about it being built for the Asian market, this is correct. Signs were in English & Chinese.Yes, there are venues specifically aimed at the Asian Market, ie high end shops, private karaoke rooms & high rollers room in the casino. but we did not feel any overwhelming Asian-ness about it.
But overall, we had a great time, adapted to the changes & embraced them.
Hope you decide to cruise on Majestic, but I know it may not be to everyone's taste.
Sorry if I rambled on a bit.:o

No set time, all you can do is check periodically.
Thanks Bob, I'll keep a check on cruise planner.

Where is the RCL roll call page? I am a senior and not sure what you mean. Can you send a link? Thanks
Hope you were able to follow the link to the roll call. We are on-board this voyage. Welcome:)

Can anyone tell me when they release bookings through cruise personaliser? We sail on Ovation October 2018.
Thanks.

We just got off a 10 day Panama Canal cruise with Princess... they had built in dvd movies on the tv's
So many too choice from.. along with "series shows" some repeats but again
I like to unwind after a long day watching tv and it helps me fall asleep.. lol
That's one of the things we like about Princess, cabin TV's have movies on demand.
-
We do too. Can't even imagine trying to fall asleep without watching a few episodes of West Wing! :D
We've been using the Fire Sticks on RCI with no issue. In fact, I've been pretty surprised by how well they work using RCI's Internet.
-germ
OMG, West Wing, my most fav fav favourite ever show. :D:cool:
-
Let me spend thousands of dollars on a cruise just so that I can watch TV in my stateroom lol[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Here we go...another one.(n)
You can if you want to. I'm not going to criticise you if you do. You're entitled to do ANYTHING you want. AS AM I.:lips-sealed: That's it for me, enough said.

Idk what ship you will be on but some remotes on some ships dont have the output button to change the output to that hdmi port in back. I believe its purposely done. But I got around it by bringing a universal programmable remote. 5 bucks. Then I can change the out put via my remote. But I use it to watch saved movies on ipad. Same thing.
We'll be on Ovation. We have just bought the HDMI cable. If things don't work as planned, no problem.

I was thinking the same thing. I guess the right person hasn’t read that post yet.
The "right person" has been noticeably absent.

Glad we are not the only ones that like to sit in our cabins relaxing with a good movie
We are definitely not night owls. Sometimes we are that exhausted, we can be in bed by 9.30pm. It's also nice to chill out sometimes during the day. There's only so much trivia I'm able to do before my head explodes.

Thanks everyone for your support. You are the reason I'm a member of CC.:*

OP, just ignore that particular poster response.
Yes, I know, can't help myself. That's just me.:halo:

Why are u on a cruise watching dvds even if it’s for the kids put them In the kids club. U can watch dvds at home but it’s ur money and ur choice. Enjoy

Nokids, but that's none of your business. I asked a simple question that some seemed to answer without judgement or criticism. You know nothing about us. But seeing as though it has caused you to reply, let me explain. We like to spend a quiet evening in our cabin & enjoy watching movies. Does that satisfy your curiosity? If this sounds snarky or snippy, good, that was my intention. I do not generally post on CC or ask questions. Now I know why. I do appreciate the useful answers from others.

Thanks Bob.:)

Then Princess could charge pax $20 to do the 'nudie appreciation seawalk.' Plus 15% gratuity. Would us Elites get our 10% discount off that purchase? :p
So I am looking forward to venturing onto the Seawalk on Royal Princess, just for a lemonade at the Seawalk Bar, not for any other devious purpose suggested by Uncle Mic.lol.
ROFL, What a devilish idea
-
The sea walk is a bit of a novelty although I am sure that anyone nudist on their balcony below would not care about having an audience, which may get more people utilising the walk.
Depends on the view:eek:. lol
HELP....I can't stop booking cruises
