I am now Elite. My sig other in the same cabin is not. I understand since he is my cabin mate, he is also eligible for the elite HH drinks. Is this correct? Ty in advance.

Just keep going to the same bar/waiter and tip well, they will take care of you can give you even the top shelf stuff when a manger isn't watching.  Works for us

    Hi caligirl49,

I haven't found an Annual Trip Cancellation plan that is good enough for me to sell due to their plan limitations with what's needed to cover the changes in travel since Covid started.

What plan do you suggest for each trip?  We have international medical coverage through our past employer so we are more interested in trip cancellation and delays coverage

For anyone on an NCL ship scheduled to call at Puerto Plata in January 2023, the January port schedule for Taino Bay has finally been posted on the port's official site, here:

    https://www.porttainobay.com/arrivals.php

We're on the Gem, scheduled to call at Puerto Plata on Jan. 31, and I'm happy to see us on this Taino Bay calendar (along with the Dawn that day).  I know this doesn't mean NCL won't skip this port call as it has been doing,  but we'll see . . .

February 2023 has not been posted yet.

doesn't show anything, the dates are all blank. useless

Like so many other travelers, I'm always hesitant about doing excursions other than those offered by the cruise ships. But we took a chance with Thomas. Absolutely no regrets, the island tour was amazing. I found 6 others on my ship, so the 8 of us hired his van, and there were 8 more that wanted to go so he arranged another van. The communication between me and Thomas before the cruise was great, he always emailed me back promptly and answered all my questions. When we got off the ship and saw all those taxis, I looked around, joking that I hoped that the blue Mercedes van was ours. It was! We were comfortably seated. Thomas was amazing, and true to his tour description. He told us all about the island, it's history, geography, economy, population, etc. He even told us about his life which made the tour so much more personal. We never felt rushed at each stop, he allowed us as much time as we needed. At the waterfall, he brought out juice and pastries that he and his wife had baked. The other van sort of followed us around, and his other driver, Sebastian, was equally fantastic. He and Sebastian toured all the sites with us, explaining everything as we walked around. At the rum distillery, Thomas arranged for all the rum tastings, again making the day more special. We drove back along the scenic coast, stopping for some lunch and beverages. Upon our return, he dropped some of us off in town, and the rest back at the ship. I can honestly say this tour was one of the best tours ever in my many, many cruises. Overall and amazing day, and worth every dollar spent!!

Do you have the contact details for this tour?

First we need to know which Tokyo Cruise Terminal your cruise is calling at.

Harumi Cruise Terminal is right downtown. Taxi / bus  / subway to Disneyland is about 15 minutes.

The new Tokyo International Cruise Terminal just opened near the Rainbow Bridge and Haneda Airport. Taxi / bus / train / subway to Disneyland is about 40 minutes.

Osanbashi Cruise Terminal in Yokohama is about one hour away by taxi, train, subway, or bus.

Getting into Japan will be your biggest challenge. We are just recovering from our 6th COVID wave. This one was imported by the US Military. As a result, Japan is very reluctant to allow any more foreigners into the country.

This month a few foreign businessmen and a few foreign students will be allowed in on a trial basis. If they do not push the infection numbers up, the Government may ease the entry rules a bit more.

How do they know who brought in the new covid virus????  Are they 100% sure it was US Military???? In the US we get it from all over, especially people coming illegally over the southern border without being tested.  Japan probably doesn't have that issue to deal with.

  6. It doesn't look like a huge spike in cases/deaths in the BVI.  The population is 30,000.  July 14 they had 1 death and July 23  0 deaths. I don't see this spike????? July 16th 391 cases, July 21st 186 cases and July 24th 179.  If people are not being hospitalized or dying from the new variant, I don't see why they are shutting down things.

40-50 together is a bus - is that what you want?  Or would 4-6 large shuttle vans work? 🤔

In addition to SAS I would also check out QLS, MJS, and Go Airport.  I would also give Larry's Limos a call to see what they can offer.  Finally, I would reach out to the hotel your group is staying at to see if they have a local provider who can help.

I think QLS has gone out of business.

  8. It's funny I'm on the Reflection TA next month...booked it the day it became available and got a great price and THEN they skyrocketed.....in the last 6 weeks they have come back to the level they were at in the beginning....but am sure they sold a lot of cabins at the higher rate too.....sometimes it pays to book really early but often if you can cruise with only a month or so notice you can get great deals too....:)

When do the TAs become available? I want to book one for 2018.
