  1. they only have to sell Oceana until March then she is back on schedule its only this winter seasons sailings in the Gulf that have been affected and cancelled and new cruises added

we have had more than normal leaflets and cards for all the fleet

seems more like trying to fill capacity

  2. always had 23K when going from Southampton

now going on a fly cruise and booked premium seats with Thomson/TUI

limit says max 28K per passenger but a max of 23 per case so it will be 3 cases 2 x23K  and  1X10K

also you have 1 carry on each of 5K  so more than enough

  3. yes had the email

not a happy bunny but nothing we can do

dont fancy Spain or the med

they say they are offering 10% discount on Caribbean fly cruises but its only a short window and also i believe if you book Dubai in 2020

wont be doing that i only booked to have the 22 days malta-Venice-malta -suez oman and dubai

it was suez that really interested us.

just looked at the baltic but sept oct brrrrr

  5. That's how we do it, also. Unless told that it's required to have ashore, we leave ours onboard in the safe.

three years ago we were told we had to take them ashore when we docked in Barcelona, waste of fresh air that announcement was, the only item they wished to look at were the cruise cards showed the passport reult they were not interested

  6. These threads always bring out the "I'm afraid to lose my passport" entourage.

Our passports always go with us, whether cruising or on a non-US land vacation.

I just don't understand some folks unrealistic theft phobias but their cabin safe must be awful full with their passports, watches, phones, cameras, wedding rings & other jewelry, pictures of their kids, grandkids, and every other thing they own that they are afraid to use for it's intended purpose.

I dont have any phobia but it stays in the safe, i wear my watch only take sufficient cash as is needed and most of the time we are ashore independently of any organised trips. and yes we love exploring the back streets.just use common sense

  7. Passports left in ships safe,

We have copies of the two pages with our photos folded back to back then laminated .

Fits in your wallet or a pocket

This is for a UK Passport and works around the armed

Not sure about other countries passports

  8. Soiled with P&O a few times always take a bottle of my favourite single malt to have a drink on the balcony whilst her ladyship is soaking in the bath. Never had a problem .also Brought a bottle of Caol Isla in Barcelona a couple of years ago it went through the ships X-ray machine and no problems.

  9. We were in Lisbon earlier this month on Adonia, berthed very close to the centre of town about a 10 min stroll from the Black horse square. we priced up the Hop on Hop off buses and also the trams but eventually took a tuck tuck from the square where the shuttle buses drop people off. we paid 45 euro for an hour but the driver /guide only charge for when we were actually moving, when he stopped to show us something or describe some place that time did not count, worked out about an hour and a half to an hour and three quaters in the end, really good, and he even offered take us back to the ship but we declined as we still had plenty of time left and wanted to stroll around some more on foot.

  10. Was on the same cruise as Indiana123, she missed the bit about the 36 hrs of 35ft seas, but hey we didn't hear many moans, in fact the only moaner I heard was a guy who made it plain he was a ' Baltic' member and was doing a back to back cruise staying on and going to the Canaries, his gripe was that he had had a partially obstructed balcony and as he was staying on and due to his status P & O should upgrade him for free on the second cruise. He was huffing and puffing that he wasn't getting the upgrade I just walked off with a smile. As Indaiana says it was a great cruise and interesting due to the weather to say the least.

  11. That diver was the best bit of comic entertainment I saw during the cruise P&O should have employed him, what with the gesticulations with his hands, when he Stooped down still waving a hand and at one point when he started walking along the jetty I honestly thought we would see him go over the edge and still continue whilst trying climb back onto shore. Had a great view from my cabin A37 starboard side.sorry to hear about the flying furniture good job they didn't charge for that bit of entertainment ,but in all honesty glad you both were ok and not hurt.i did go up the nest after it calmed down a couple off times but hey ho looks like we all had fun. Hope you got home safe we had 3 hours of torrential rain driving back up north. On another tack apparently she left just ove,r half full was tempted but boss lady had to get back for work

  12. Indiana as Pete has said we no doubt crossed paths more than once. The 36 odd hours of 35 ft seas was interesting and sitting up in the nest was nice to see how P&O get the windows washed. Still think madams excuse for missing Monty was a bit sus as the ferries managed to leave Livorno and on Cruise TT all our ports of call matched the ships due to be in port and surprising as she said others could not tender we we re the only one due in. Also was interesting seeing the divers checking the underside in Citivechia and Livorno, any thoughts on if she bent something. She does need a personality injection. But as Pete said good cruise roll on the next one

  13. pJ's, this is first time on the baby, we have been on Aurora loved her and on Azura twice still not too sure of her but did have a suite and then a delux balcony.

Indiana123 we are on a saver this time and p & O state cabin allocation on emarbarkation or before, I rang them last Wednesday and asked if it was possible the cabins would be released prior to then and they said in the next couple of days, blow me I checked that night and they had been allocated and checkin time revised to an earlier time

  14. You should have your cabin number about two weeks prior to sailing, I received mine last week and we sail next week, also they updated the information on the e tickets, they do state print near to departure in case of any changes.having said the above I believe it varies as I have in the past received details much earlier. If you are worried just give them a ring,

  15. We managed to get a suite on Azura, on arrival at the terminal we mentioned to the lady greeter that we were in a suite she took us to the priority check in desk stayed with us then took us across to the security area where she told the staff we were priority and they put us to t he front of the queue, from arrival to boarding all of 15-20 mins, enjoy being pampered

  16. One way of getting some idea is go to P & 0's website open up Azura's deck plan page and look at the positions of the two cabins and what the grades are, that way will sow if they have upgraded you or just moved you. But by the numbers looks like an up grade and a move from the back to midships I have just looked at the plans and looks like an upgrade from grade GC to GA. We have sailed on her twice and she's a nice ship

  17. I have recently booked an excursion and received my discount on my receipt all done online. On a slightly different note have had two emails off P & O asking if I wished to book a table in one of the specialist restaurants prior to sailing. One problem is they have two different menus and there is no way until getting on board of finding out on which days which menu will be used. The problem is the wife always finds there is some items on one of the menus that would make it a non starter.
