Never heard of Royal Westmorland issuing a day pass.

Rico's only resemblance to the Boatyard is that one can just turn up, and pay as you go.  On all other aspects they a poles apart.

But it's good to talk.  Send Rico a message stating your intention visit, giving the day, and ask Rico to reserve two thick padded beds and an umbrella under the palm trees (the best spot), Rico will oblige, and they will be set up, and reserved, for your arrival.

If you wish to rent anything, say jet skis, just as Rico, and they will arrive.

Rico and his Team are discreetly attentive, to ensure you have a great day.

A new beachwear set as a souvenir from the beach Boutique?

    Enjoy

Excellent... thanks much for the info... truly appreciated!!!

It appears you seek a pleasant day, away from T'erds and children.

T'erds and children are found at all the popular beaches that are walkable or with a $5.00 taxi fare.

Then may one suggest Rico's By The Sea.

If you want a recommendation, the ask The Royal Westmoreland Hotel, as their guests regularly frequent this bar when wanting a good beach experience.  Because of the demands of the hotel's clientele, they employ a full time Chef, not a cook.  Plus drinks prices are kept reasonable, with no short measures.  Also there is a ladies beachwear boutique.

We're also seeking a pleasant day and quiet beach, away from "T'erds and children" 😯

The Royal Westmoreland Hotel - does this hotel offer day passes?

Is Rico's on the Beach a place like The Boatyard, where you walk up and pay or would we need to contact them in advance?

Thanks much for your help... truly appreciated!!

    Have a wonderful week 😎

Mom the Garden Cafe is on deck 16 below this cabin (17100) above are other Haven cabins.

hi aero777, that's what I get for looking at 2 deck plans from one direction, whilst typing in another direction 🤯😲 total and complete embarrassment... what I am trying to ask, is regarding noise levels from deck 18... has anyone experienced noise from deck 18 whilst staying in rooms on the 17th deck...

Am on the Bliss in 17100 right now.  In summary - Great room,  nice sized balcony,  no noticeable noise.  Nothing to be concerned over.

There is a door between the hallway and the Horizon Lounge, which you can pass through.  As noted, there is a bathroom in the alcove between the hallway and the Horizon Lounge (on the other side of the door) but I have not seen anyone use it .  There are no sounds you can hear from the lounge, etc.  Quiet.

From what I have experienced, no one should have any concerns selecting this room.

we have this suite booked for later in the year... can you please  indicate, whether or not you heard noise from the garden cafe above your room?

    thanks much... truly appreciated...

  5. The two stay/park/cruise hotels for sailing from Manhattan are the Hilton Gardens and Hampton Inn in Ridgefield Park NJ. You'd have to call them directly to ask about the parking. From other's postings I don't think this would be an issue, but only the hotels themselves can tell you for sure

    Will do Carol...

    Thanks much for responding :)

  6. Good evening,

We (2 ppl) are cruising back to back in April on the Norwegian Escape, leaving out of New York... we are driving and would like to stay in New Jersey at one of the hotels offering a stay/park/cruise rate...

Question: does this rate allow for 2 weeks parking or is it for 1 week only? If for 1 week, are there other options we can consider for parking 2 weeks whilst we cruise?

Thanks much for your assistance... truly appreciated :)

  7. Hi anonmom,

    How are you?

I'm just seeing your post... have been on the Escape since the 2nd... truly apologize... thought I placed requested info on the spreadsheet, when it first came out :(

    See you soon!!

Our Meet and Greet has been scheduled at the expected time, so we're all set! Typically, food and beer samples have been provided to Meet & Greets on the Escape this fall, so hopefully we'll get the same treatment. 8. Thanks much for the quick response...

Glad to hear the suite is quiet (great news indeed) :D

Thanks again and have a great day!

You can glance through the dailies I posted, but I don't think The Bimini bar was open later than 6 or 7pm. I also believe it's two decks above us, centered, with just a quiet walkway immediately overhead our balcony.

The ONLY noise we heard all week was the pool band playing in the distance while seated on our balcony. Inside the stateroom it was absolute silence - day and night. Granted, we were the furthest forward balcony.

    Thanks for reading!

  9.

Just called upsell and nabbed an SD Family Suite with Large Balcony - room 12520. Not a bad way to start!

Thanks much for another AWESOME review :)

    Quick question regarding your suite:

I've read these suites are located beneath the Bimini Bar & Grill and as a result, late night noise may be an issue.

Did you find noise an issue during your cruise?

Thanks much and have a great week!

  10. Hi Saint Greg! Thanks much for the Excellent and thorough response :)

I'm about to spend time reviewing your suggested restaurants :)

You are truly a wealth of information and to put it simply, YOU ROCK!! :D

    Have a great weekend,

    Joy

I've done that once before. It's a mile or so. What I did was park at Fulton and use streetcars to get to the hotel. Just took a backpack with items that were needed for the night. Returned the next day to collect the remaining luggage and take the free shuttle to the port....If you want to totally be done with the car...you'd probably want to drop the luggage off at the hotel before parking then take a cab to the port the next day.

As for restaurants close to the hotel...John Besh has a few restaurants in the area...one of which is in the Hyatt, Borgne is downstairs by the front desk. There are actually three restaurants and a Starbucks in the Hyatt.

If you step out of the front of the hotel and go right..walk to the stop light and take a left on Girod Street. There are a few places about a block down. Willa Jean is another John Besh place that is mostly a cafe with baked goods and breakfast.

    http://www.willajean.com/

There's a really good burger place on that block as well...I'm addicted to sweet potato fries.

    https://www.thecompanyburger.com/

There's a pizza place and a vietnamese place on that block I haven't eaten at...There's also a Rouse's grocery store another block up if you need that.

If you were to come out of the hotel and go left, then take a right on Poydras Street, a block down on the left is Walk-On's...That's a sports bar/bistreaux with some south louisiana themes on the menu. It's part owned by Drew Brees. https://walk-ons.com/

If you keep walking the next block on the right has a mexican themed restaurant that Besh helped create with Aaron Sanchez called Johnny Sanchez. http://www.johnnysanchezrestaurant.com/home-1 Next to that is Reginelli's Pizzeria http://www.reginellis.com/

If you go two blocks further and take a left on St. Charles. One block up on the left is another Besh Restaurant, Luke.

    http://www.lukeneworleans.com/

That's going about 7 blocks from your hotel.

  11. Saint Greg:

    How are you?

    Need your help 😊

We're booked at the Hyatt Regency Downtown (know it's one of your favorites) 😉 and would like to know if there are any good restaurants near or at the hotel for dinner and breakfast...

We'll have a car, however, would prefer to park at Fulton Garage upon arrival and not worry about the car until returning from cruise...how far is the Hyatt from Fulton garage?

As always, thanks much for your help!

  12. Hi Saint Greg,

Glad to hear all is well...

Thanks much for the hotel, directions and street car info...truly appreciated...

    Have a great weekend :)

I'm doing good. I've never stayed at that Marriott but that sounds like a good price. It has 4 stars on trip advisor. I stayed 2 blocks away at the embassy suites a couple weeks ago. The closest streetcar stop is going to be the riverfront street car at Julia street. It's right by the riverwalk mall. That takes you down to the French quarter.

If you get off at the first stop by Hilton riverside you can get on the canal street car by harrahs and go down canal street....get off that at st Charles and get on the st. Charles streetcar if you want.

Make sure you purchase the day passes for the streetcar. It's like $3/day....they may still have a 3 day pass if you're going to be there that long.

  13. Saint Greg...

    How are you?

Received room at the New Orleans Downtown Marriott At The Convention Center for $74.00/night at the beginning of December, 2016...

Wanted to ask your opinion of this hotel and how far it is from a streetcar Pickup area...we plan on utilizing the streetcar and for the life of me, cannot make heads nor tails of the route map 😢

    Thanks much...

  14. Yes, I believe it's 10% for returning customers if I remember correctly. When you make your reservation online, just put that you are a returning customer in the comments section. Then tell them again at the desk at Frenchy 44 when you pay and they'll discount it. :)

    Excellent!!

    Thanks much [emoji106]

  15. Hi mitsugirly,

In a previous post, you mentioned repeat LFK guests receive a discount... did I read accurately? If so, how would we go about receiving/requesting the discount?

    Thanks much,
