Personally I prefer 7345. It has 2 twins on the floor and is slightly larger than the front 1A's. I have never had problems with noise from this cabin
-
Just booked the Freedom cruise 12/9 with a casino price of $246 for an oceanview for 5 nights. best deal I've ever found.
-
It has been about 18 months. But I think it is more likely that it will become a regular interior cabin than they would take a twin out of the cabin. I rhink the 3 1A's midship (6393,7345, & 8357) remain at that status because the configuration cannot be changed easily. I would not worry, I always look for those cabins first on the Conquest ships.
-
I can verify that 8357 on the Freedom has 2 twins on the floor. The way the room is configured they are always set up as a king.
-
The upper cannot be used in these 3 cabins.
-
I have stayed in 7345 on the Freedom and Valor and I assure u it has 2 twins put together to make a king. There is an upper berth that is never used.
-
I was on the same cruise and had a wonderful time. As for changing the clocks I was once told it was at the discretion of the captain. I have been on ships (39 cruises total) that have done it both ways.
-
Don't believe what Carnival writes in its descrptions. They have been wrong about those cabins for at least 6 years.
-
8357 will have 2 twins that can make a king. cant tell u which would be larger, probably the same size

Interesting list. I got a card for table play on the Freedom in February, gambled exactly the same way in March on the Glory and no card. I asked and they said they had already discontinued it.

there is a web site called cruiseshipjobs.com which describes the salaries of different positions on a ship.

Was that configuration in all the Empress deck 1A's or just E181?
-
This is a question for firefly. If you look at the deck plans of the Dream there are 2 1A's on Main deck 2348 and 2377 insides that are mirrored across the middle. Could these be 1A's similar to the 1A's on the conquest class ships. (6393,7345, 8357.)? I know what the standard reply from the PVP is but you know they really have no clue. What is YOUR best guess?
-
As Firefly has said, 1A's are oddball. On the conquest type ships, some of the midship inside 1A's have two twins and a bunk which is no longer used. Don't go by the floor plans, they can and are wrong at times. I know that the Freedom 7345 is 2 twins. But it is the newest of the class. The Glory is the oldest and its refit may not have included that upgrade. Hopefully someone who has stayed in that cabin in the last 6 months can enlighten us.

15 with 2 coming up in 2010

The sofa in 2444 on the Victory did not open into another bed. it was just a small sofa.
-
I have sailed the Victory in 2444 and a friend in 2445 both have 2 windows and a twin bed with a small couch. The Triumph is the sister ship. You make your own conclusion. These are priced as 1A's.

Just got back from the Freedom. All 3 of those central cabins, 6393, 7345 and 8357 have 2 twin beds made up as a king. No room for the ladder to the bunk above.
-
Just back from the Freedom. I checked out all 3 centrally located 1A rooms 6393, 7345, and 8357. all have 2 beds on the floor and a bunk which cannot be used because the beds interfere with the ladder to the bunk.
-
I was right . I researched certain sailngs in late 2010 and it is offered as a 1A cabin. I will check out how many beds on Sunday and report back.
-
Cabin 8357 is a mystery to the Carnival website also. Only on the Freedom is it marked as a 4E but all other ships of that class it is a 1A. Even Orbitz has it listed as a 1A on Freedom. And I believe I have seen it available as a 1A on Freedom sailings on the Carnival website.

6393 is near a steward station pantry and the laundry room is a bit further down. I heard nothing from either room except one time i heard ice dropping from the ice machine. It was a quiet cabin at night and even when i took my power naps in the afternoon. I have already booked it again on the Freedom next year. It is ideally located right in the middle of the ship.
-
6393 is a 1A 2 decks directly below and has 2 twins and a bunk in the ceiling that cannot be used on the Valor. No one seems to know about 7345 and 8357 which are above and the same size as 6393. Firefly might know, he is the guru of 1a's. Ill be on the Freedom next week and will try to check those cabins out after I board.
Help with cabin category 1A on Freedom

Because of the configuration of the room with 2 twins on the floor (which is a certainty since I have stayed in both rooms) the upper bunk cannot be used since the ladder would come down on top of one of the beds. To me it is as good as any inside room.
