  1. Thank you for your comments. My only fear is that they keep track of this or the worst they add the difference to your onboard account. I been many times as single just that the prices look even worse now for singles.
  2. Just a thought with regards to the crazy single supplement charge. If you booked with 2 people when making the reservation and somehow you just showed up to the pier with just the 1 person what occurs? Do they interrogate you as to where the other passenger is? Most importantly do they do anything with regards to the price of the cruise? Just some background a huge Celebrity Cruises fan been on 23 cruises with the line. Just trying to think outside the box as I do usually travel alone but recently the supplement charge is just crazy. I am seeing if there are any ways around it. I appreciate your valubale input and suggestions. Thank You!!
  3. Probably a stupid question but can you bring on two bottles of water or will security confiscate it at check in? Thank You,
  4. Quick question here: Can anyone in the US make bookings on Morella Cruises? I think it's not available for us in the states to book. Can anyone confirm?
  5. Sailing on Rotterdam 10/22/23 for the last couple of weeks they have been dropping the prices significantly. Kind of makes you wonder why you booked months in advance to get a good price but then the people 2 weeks before the cruise actually get a good price. I contacted my travel agent and informed them of my disappointment. Holland basically gave me the All in Package for Free, can't say it makes up for it but it's definitely something I was going to buy and now I don't have to purchase it.
  6. I see it now the little check mark, thank you all for your help. Hope to see you onboard.
  7. yes, I saw the check mark but couldn't procced without a credit card, i will check it out again. Thanks
  8. Nope doesn't give me an option only a credit card.
  9. Hello, Would anyone know how to reserve the specialty restaurants if you have the All in Package? When you go in to reserve them they all ask for a credit card? Thanks,
  10. Hello Writer on Deck, I hope you are enjoying your cruise on Zaandam. I am looking forward to possibly planning a cruise on Zaandam for March. Can you tell me what kind of cabin you are in if it is inside or oceanview, it looks like it's upgraded and doesn't have that old looking carpet. Thanks,
  11. The ship looks somewhat good in public areas, cabins not so much. Thank you all for your comments.
  12. What are recent passengers' thoughts on Zaandam? Some recent videos look like the ship has been updated in public areas however the staterooms look like they did back in 2000. Any thoughts greatly appreciated looking at a March cruise in 2024 14 nights to Panama Canal. Thanks,
  13. Sailed December 2022, the ship looked pretty bad on the outside but everything inside you can tell was maintained and fresh. The cabins look like they did back in 2002 when the ship came into service. The food and service was excellent and I still have found memories of the trip. The crew will make the cruise. Have a great cruise!
  14. I sure remember the Honey Stung Chicken on embarkation day. Many years ago!
  15. I heard that the shows are quite old but can't confirm for sure. It would have been nice to be informed about the changes of terminals beforehand my friend said they could have changed it last minute in the early morning but some heads up would have been nice. The ship felt full I think around 2,600. I will not make the mistake of sailing again in the summer or take a cruise less than 7 nights. I never felt the ship not once I agree with you it was incredibly smooth. I hope you enjoyed the cruise I see from your signature you go on a good amount of Celebrity Cruises. The are my favorite line. I went on my 1st cruise in December 1999 on the Celebrity Century, boy has cruising, and Celebrity changed. I am trying Holland America for 2nd time in October feel like I should try something different and see how I can compare Celebrity V Holland. Thanks, Jonathan
  16. Glad you agree. I also took Serenade of the Seas-Panama Canal back in October of 2009. She was amazing back then. I guess with all the cutbacks and Royal maybe putting all their resources on the newer ships, the smaller ships suffer.
  17. The food was downright awful, no taste me and my friend commented that there is no chef on the ship. The ship was very well maintained she looked amazing for 20 years. I sailed Serenade of the seas 4 times the 1st time when she was 3 weeks old. The service was indifferent nothing special.
  18. I have sailed 4 times on this ship. The 1st back in 2003 when the ship was 3 weeks old. The service was not the greatest and the food had absolutely no taste. Remember this is my opinion and someone else onboard the cruise may feel differently. The ship looked amazing for 20 years. I wish the crew did better and the Chef actually tasted the food. I think this is the new norm of cruising, you felt nicked and dimed the entire cruise. I think it is back to Celebrity Cruises for now. Let me know if you have any questions.
  19. Anyone just disembark Serenade of the Seas today? Any thoughts on the cruise experience? Just curious to know what others thought of the experience.
  20. Hi Jim I saw your attachment, I think this was your itinerary not your review, lol. Jonathan
