The Free casino offers are for guarantees only (at least all of mine have been) so that happens when you try to select a cabin.  YMMV.

The January cruise I was going to book under a casino offer (when I got home from Alaska) is no longer available.  I was going to add it onto the front of a Carnival sailing I have booked.  Instead, I found a free offer from Carnival (which although I have >30 Carnival sailings, I almost never get free offers; after 3 HAL sailings, I started getting them - go figure).  So I added that (even got the same cabin) to make a 6+8 B2B.  Keep trying to get away from Carnival, but at least this is on Spirit (which is a similar size/layout to the Vista class ships).

And I'm not seeing any HAL casino offers for me right now.  That's OK.  I really don't "need" to book anything else!

I was offered a specific cabin for an additional $350 per couple to upgrade to the Orange Club. It was a nice perk (we just returned). Didnt have to wait on the customer service line. Special dining line and menu.

  2. We have a full day upon arrival back in Seattle Sept 10. We want to rent a car at the air[port and drive to see sites outside of seattle proper. HAL rep has not been able to give me an idea about what time the HAL Transport to the airport arrives at the airport. Has anyone taken the bus from HAL and gone to the airport and can give me an idea of the arrival time at SEA_TAc

It says there is no fee to use it. We are flying SWA with early bird passes. If I read correctly we will get this boarding pass on the ship?  Almost too good to be true.

Sounds great. We’ll have about 6 hrs before our plane.  It’ll be nice not to have to carry our luggage around

Scroll up to the earlier posts.

But I can tell you that the casino was not closed tonight. It opened for slot play at 4 PM and for table play at 7:30 PM.

I believe that on the last cruise one of the casinos staff members tested positive, which through others into quarantine for being close contacts. So the casino is understaffed right now and could not be open all day long for today and tomorrow’s sea days as would be the usual pattern.

The daily planner for tomorrow shows that it will open at four for both slots and table games

I didnt realize the posts were numbered. Unreal I’ve green on cruise critic for years and never noticed. I hope you enjoy your cruise I’m hoping i see less than 1000 next week too. Loooking forward to more posts.

I’ve had rooms 9207, 9209 & we are in 9211 on the Reflection later this year. the rooms are the same size, but the balcony’s are 30-50% larger on the angled hump, a little windier but nothing to be worried about. We have 2 Celebrity Cruises this year and have 9211 & 9207 booked. 4th time on deck 9, very close to everything, quiet and just 10-15 seconds to the elevations. You will love these rooms. Charlie

Thank you for the info. We’re booked on 9207 on a B2B. Love the extra space on the balcony. Thanks for your review.

We are very experienced cruisers having cruised on various lines including RCL.  We are considering a cruise on the Anthem.  However- I’m concerned because of all the negative and many downright horrible reviews including bed bugs!!

We would appreciate hearing from past cruisers on the Anthem with your honest opinions before we book!

    Thank you and happy cruising!

We traveled on Anthem two years ago and are booked on her again for Jan 5. We loved our experience hence the repeat trip. My only criticism was at the time they were experimenting with four different dinner venues( and menus) and it was a disaster. I’ve been told they’re not doing that any more. We loved We will Rock you and Spectra. Did no5 like The Gift but that is personal taste. I would make sure you book your entertainment ASAP. We met great crew members. Hope they’re still on board.

Our group of 8 cruise on the Allure in just under 2 weeks. Picked up our packet from our travel agent today and we all received vouchers for 1 free specialty lunch and 1 free specialty dinner. We weren't going to do any specialty restaurants before so I never looked into them much.  Now that we have the vouchers I'm curious as to which restaurants people would recommend for lunch and dinner and what kinds of foods they serve. We can't book them until we are on the ship so availability could be part of the deciding factors, but trying to decide which ones to try to book. Any insight from those that have gone to them would be much appreciated.

We love the steak house. You  might want to try it for dinner.

  8. Stingray City is a great excursion swimming & feeding the rays. I'm sure your kids would love it.

We did the swimming and feeding the stingrays. Great experience.

  9. We are looking at a Celebrity cruise in 2019 that stops at Honolulu, Kailua-Kona, Lahaina Maui and Hilo. Celebrity's website says that Kailua-Kona and Maui are tender stops. Has anyone with mobility issues (using a walker, wheelchair or scooter) been able to get off at the tender stops?

Scooters are not allowed on the tenders. The rocking can be a major liability. We are here right now ( leaving Maui) and the staff has gotten people with walkers and wheelchairs on and off. Our friends use a scooter and had to leave it behind.

  10. Hi All

We're on the Celebrity Eclipse and will be in Curacao 2/27/18. We have booked a 3.5 hour Jewish History Tour with Gigi. There are 6 of us so far in our group. We are looking for a few more to join us. Here is some info about the tour...if you are interested, please contact us at: marcusfamily333@hotmail.com

Beth Haim Cemetery, oldest in walled Jewish Cemetery of the Western Hemisphere dating back to 1659.

    Mongui Maduro Museum /Library.

Biggest private library and archives of the island.

Museum situated in an old plantation house.

These were used in olden times as vacation retreats in the hot summer months by the Jews living in town.

CURACAO Liqueur Factory, home of the World Famous Blue Curacao.

Liqueur invented by us and liqueur is also kosher.

Drive through the old Jewish Neighborhood of Schaarloo 1850 -1970.

Mikve Israel Emanuel and Jewish Cultural Historical Museum.

Transportation and all entrance fees included $75 per person.

We are not on your cruise, but did this tour with Gigi. It’s an amazing tour. When you get to the cemetery ( uneven walking areas) make sure you walk around and look at the marble ( granite?) on top of the graves. The detailing is amazing. Enjoy

  11. Currently on Solstice. Spa is really unprofessional. Booked a treatment, showed up on time, they couldn’t find my booking, wait - then therapist blames me (twice) for being late and will have to shorten the treatment by half an hour as a result. This was clearly a tactic to get out of the special they had sold me at embarkation. I explained what happened and then they more or less proceed to basically call me a liar and mock me at the desk thinking I can’t hear what they’re saying. Needless to say I just walked out. Don’t need to pay a ridiculous price to be insulted by Spa staff.

Skip hotel manager. An email to corporate works wonders. I had an issue, emailed corporate, I had an apology and OBC as a “sorry”

  12. I like the way you think [emoji4] Along the lines of one man’s junk is another man’s treasure?

DH has been watching YouTube videos and as much as he prefers not to do long tours, he is convinced that we have to do the complete RTH, however we’ll have to book the ship’s tour to make sure it doesn’t leave without us if we are late.

I was worried about a big bus tour through the ship but I’ve been told that there are no big buses on this road.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Think we may be on the same cruise just got off the phone with Celebrity. The road to Hana through the ship is in a #0 person open air bus @ $169pp

  13. Flexible. Usually (operative adjective) one does not need to make reservations outside of feeling secure.

Anytime dining, is what it means with or without reservation.

As can happen even with reservation, there may be a short wait if diners are still lingering at the table...

    bon voyagae

I never like to disagree with other posters, but, we have done many cruises with select or anytime dining. My experience has been to make reservations as soon as you board for your whole trip. I usually determine time by what time we need to be back on ship. Many do that. Without a reservation you will be waiting on a line with any others. We like to have the same waiter so we make our reservations at or closest to the time we want.
