  1. Please keep the posts coming. Did you find out what the hours on each of the islands will be?

What kind of stateroom do you have - oceanview, balcony, etc?

We are in cabin 14250. Nice. Not too big but big enough. A lot of storage. We are on the Port side superior balcony We pulled into Nassau at 6:42 am ( I was awake) and by 7:10 people who were on tours were disembarking. You will have to be back on the ship by 12:30. There are two Celebrity ships and a Aida.de (German) ship also in port. I was amazed that we went into port back end first so the port side was pier side. More to follow.

  2. We are currently sailing at about 14 knots. Smooth as silk. We had lunch at the Park Cafe. I had salad with their famous roast beef. It was crowded but really good. Was able to get in our room on deck 14 Port side by 1 pm. Got most of our luggage right away. Boarding was really quick. We had one piece of luggage confiscated. We didn't know you can't bring a power strip DH had to go down to 2 to claim our suitcase. We will get the power strip back after the cruise. Dinner was anytime dining. My suggestion to anyone traveling Allure and doing anytime dining make your reservations as soon as they open before your cruise. The gets times were fully booked for the entire week. Fortunately we made our show reservations through crown and anchor so we got the shows and times we wanted ( we re a party of 6). We saw Aria tonight. Do not miss it. Dinner was ok don't order the steak. It was really tough. Three of us had it. No one was truly happy those who had the prime rib said it was delicious. I'll gladly answer any questions. I'll post each night. Room service arrived so night all. ;)

  3. We're traveling with you today. Parking the axe at Embassy Suites as live in Florida. We too will be staying on board at least in Nassau. So you'll have to share some deck space. I'm traveling with my DH and two other couples. We're on deck 14. Some day will get to mini or full suite level. Maybe we will cross paths. Who knows with 6000 people On Board. Here's to smooth sailing and great adventures.

  4. I will be on the 10/10 cruise on Allure and will update as I will have internet I also reported fiurther fown this thread the letter I received from RCCL when i questioned the pblms with Allure-- never the less I am truly excited about this cruise= we have done Mariner when it was the largest ship, and Also Freedom when it was the largest and cant wait for Sunday to experience the Allure

  5. This is the email response I got from RCCL when I contracted rthen about the problems on Allure and the shortening of our stay in Nassau and in St. Thomas, The letter was directed to me personally so I am sure it wasn't a form letter but was glad to at least get a reply,

Thank you for your email. We apologize for the delay in our response. More customers than ever before are choosing the convenience of email as their primary mode of communication. As a result, the turnaround time for responses has increased. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

We are sorry for any disappointment experienced due to our decision to modify your sailing's itinerary. The Allure of the Seas currently has a small restriction on her top speed. All equipment is fully operational and there is no impact on the maneuverability of the ship or on the safety of our guests and crew. However, it has been necessary to make some minor adjustments to Allure's eastern itinerary. The ship will depart Nassau, Bahamas at 1:00 pm instead of 2:00 pm. Additionally, the ship will arrive into St. Thomas at 11:00 am instead of 10:00 am. As the brochures and Cruise Ticket Contract reflect, we may have to change the ship's itinerary under specific circumstances. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

While onboard, you may enjoy many of the innovative features of the Allure of the Seas. For action and adventure, you can try one of the two FlowRider surf simulators, the zip line that will speed you across the ship nine stories in the air, or one our signature rock climbing wall. You can challenge your family on the full size basketball court, in the ice-skating rink, or at mini-golf. These are all included in the price of your cruise fare. If you are looking for relaxation, treat yourself royally in the full-service Vitality Spa; enjoy one of the four pools or ten whirlpools, two of which overlook the ocean. You can enjoy a hot dog on the Boardwalk or a pleasant walk through Central Park.

  6. We were in 95623- right under hot tub- no noise at all- great location- its at the bump out- the balcony was so large we had the stewart bring us a lounge chair-- giving him $10 at the beginning on the cruise is well worth it-- you get everything you want-- right away-- also remember to have him empty the mini bar so you can put your stuff in it. I brought my own water--wasn't giving them $3.50 a bottle.. bought a whole case in Miami and put it in my luggage without a problem.

  7. We were on Freedom on May 4-11 0 it wqas fabulous. We had the best time. The promenade food is okay-- the pizza at Sorrentos is nice. We didn;'t eat on rthe promenade much. As far as p[ictures on formal nigh-t there must be 10 locations. And they have this black background and a white background and you can take unusual pictures-- both laying on the floor or one on top of the other- it was fun and the photographers were great- I spent a fortune on pics. They also have a pre pay package- if you don't buy the required amt they credit you with the difference , so if you're like me and want pics -- do the prepay when you fget on board. We ate in the MYTIME dining room and loved eating when we wanted to. We had the same wiat staf-f- -Pamela andMarlene-- they were terrific and couldn't do enough for us-- even with us being pre-paid gratutities-- wee asked for them each night and had no problem. Loved the idea we could eat when we wanted to.
