  1. I would bring a couple of short sleeve shirts, a couple of long sleeve, and maybe some type of fleece, Layering is key, so is the type of fabric you choose-some type of polyester/rayon/spandex is lightweight and dries easily. Eddie Bauer makes an Infinity Tee that I love. It dries in a few hours. You could probably fish your closet for something similar. Cotton takes forever to dry so I’d avoid that. I usually bring 2 short sleeve tops, 2 long sleeve, and 2 couple of fancy blouses in neutral colors and you can change the look with scarves or necklaces. For Pants, 1 pair of jeans, and an a pair of lightweight pants. Palazzo Pants are great for evenings. I also bring leggings for warmth or to wear with tops as a nice extra. I would limit myself to 2or three pairs of shoes. I really cut down on toiletries or wait until I’m at my destination. I only bring basic makeup and a mini curling iron. I do pack on the light and wash clothes with tide packets or shampoo while I’m in the shower. I bring a clothes line and a piece a dry cleaning plastic for drips.

  2. I would definitely arrive the day before. Anything could happen to delay making the cruise. This gives you time to address any issues such as customs, delayed flight, lost luggage, etc and allow you to explore Portland which is beautiful. True HAL will hold the ship until people who paid their travel plan, but it is expensive. I would rather take that money and explore a great city but I can’t stand same day flights too much stress. Hope you enjoy your cruise. Alaska is a great cruise.

  3. Is your flight with one of the cruise lines packages. If so I wouldn’t worry. If you booked your own flight, anything can happen. Long lines in customs, delayed flight, lost luggage, etc. Not to be a negative Nancy, but you are really rolling the dice on a same day flight. We always arrive at least a day or so before the cruise if any of the above should happen. From my observations the ship does not wait unless you flew through them.

  4. We used Rome in Limo in Italy, and will be using PK Tours in Greece. Both are reputable and have a money back guarantee if you don’t get back in time, however, we always got back in time. I think you can form a tour with others on each site. Roll Calls are good, we found several good people to tour with on our British Isles Cruise. Check Trip Advisor for reviews of companies. The Med takes a lot of preplanning. Rick Steves has a great book on Med Ports with recommendations and you could do your own tour with the info he’s provided. Some tours are a hour or more from port so you would have to arrange transportation. Enjoy your cruise!

  5. I second the teabags. For me, dark circles has everything to do with what I eat and how much sleep I'm getting. I try to stick to a clean diet ( cut back on alcohol, processed food, refined sugars, etc) and drink and ton of water. Hope this helps.

  6. I'm not sure what your tastes are but I like tunics and leggings. I also wear a lot of sundresses. I'm leaving for Paris in a week and since it will likely be cold, I packed jeans, a fitted tee, and a cardigan, I plan on wearing a scarf and my Toms shoes. My jeans are Lees Trouser jeans. They have a flare to them and are stretchy. I think they go up to a size 22 or 24.

  7. I had the American Table menu on the Glory last year, and was missing it in May while cruising on the Legend! I will be very happy to have it again on the Breeze. I really like the pork chop.

I had a similar experience on both ships. Can't wait for American Table on Vista in May!
