  1. Has anyone ever hit the Jack Pot? I see NCL promoting winners that hit slot machine Jack Pots but never Paradise Lotto big winners(as far I know). Anyone know of any JacK Pot winners?

I was on the Getaway June 2015. The casino announced that it was $755,000. I asked at the players club when it was last won. I was told the Paradise Lotto Jackpot was last won in 2013. Lisa

  2. While we do prefer dine at the main dining room, we heard that the prime ribs at O'Sheehan's are not to be missed.

When are the two (or 3???) O'Sheehan's prime ribs nights please?

We don't want to miss it. :)

I know it's a bit crazy: but can we return to the dining room just to have dessert after dining at O'Sheehan's?

    Thanks.

We were on the Getaway in June. Prime Rib was served in O'Sheehan's on Saturday, Tuesday and Friday from 5:30-9:00

  3. Prime rib was served on Day 1 for dinner - during our BA sailing, NY-FL-GSC-Bahamas. Disclaimer - subject to change with & without written/advance notices, check the current/latest Freestyle Dailies for the most accurate info. If you missed it, don't worry - MDR also served it later in the sailing week.

Everything else you wanted to know about the BA should be in this review - good # of pictures. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2189381

Seadog67 just finished the BA on a Bermuda run, and he has great pictures and videos uploaded. And, there are other excellent recent reviews out there - happy research & reading.

Thank you so much. Leaving on the Getaway June 13th.

  4. Someone had posted recently the "new" regulations for CAS that will begin (I believe) on or about June 1. Under the new guidelines, the "theoretical loss" for a week long cruise needs to be in the $2,800 range for a future comp cabin. If you assume that the slot machines return 94% (could be less with such a captive audience, but that's a potentially "ballpark" figure), a slot player would have to "play" somewhere around $45 - $50,000 in a week to qualify for a future comp cabin. At the $45,000 level, you could realistically expect to "lose" $2,700 with a 94% return. Table games are, clearly different. At blackjack (with perfect play) or craps (with a pass line bet), the house advantage can be less than half of one percent - although most of the cruise ships have now "adjusted" the BJ rules to up that edge significantly. With craps, for example, you'd theoretically have to wager well into the six figures over the course of a cruise to have the "theoretical loss" approach $2,800 since you can expect a return of ~99% of all of your wagers.

Not sure if this helps answer the question. (I've had about a dozen comped cruises through CAS and I play almost exclusively craps - not sure if I can / want to approach a theoretical loss of $2,800 in the future however...)

Thank you, that's what I wanted to know.

  5. I don't know about percentage but my Getaway cruise was my 1st from NCL. I played mainly slots. I was surprise that CAS was quick to offer another comp right away.

    Thank you

  6. Just curious, anyone have an idea of what percentage of cruisers get a cabin comp. How much would be the minimum slot play one needs to get a comp. Thank you
