Hey all - we are travelling on the Azura again in the Christmas holidays, last time we mainly drank in the Glass House as we preferred the drinks in there (mainly the Miraval rose and Jolly Olly IPA) - has anyone got a picture of the drinks menu from there since they rolled out the new drinks packages? I'm guessing the stuff we drink still won't be on it, but would like to be sure.
Thanks!

They had compulsory testing at the pier on our recent Jewel sailing - it was fast and efficient, but there was only approx 350 people onboard.
I would much rather take one before I started travelling though.
-
We were on the Jewel last week and there were a few places, such as the safari club, that were designated for vaccinated guests only - I'm not sure how they policed it, but it was a cruise where all adults had to be double-vaxxed, so I guess it just means "adults only" in that case.

I'm not sure if you have these in your country, but we take a 3-way one of these with us on holiday and plug it into the 220v socket onboard.

I thought I'd decided to go with the beach bed option, but I've just logged back into the planner and the beach beds no longer come with the loungers, only the bed itself. When I checked previously I'm sure the loungers were mentioned in the text, and were shown on the photos, but not any more.
I'm starting to wonder what else they might change between now and April

Are the cabana and beach bed areas of the beaches quite quiet noise wise? If we're going to relax we don't want hordes of screaming kids or jet-skis buzzing past all the time.
-
Thanks for the quick replies - from what I have read the enhanced lunch is very good, so it would be a shame to miss it seeing as we qualify through the suite - although I think we should get the cabana cheaper too! Ideally we would be able to get the enhanced lunch delivered to the beach beds, but I assume that's not possible.

Hi all - we've booked on a short Bahamas cruise next April, and I'm looking to book something for Cococay, but I'm a bit confused what the best option is. I was originally looking at a cabana, which comes with the enhanced lunch, but I also quite like the look of the beach bed (there's only 2 of us), but we are also in a suite, so qualify for the enhanced lunch on the cabana beach, and I'm assuming the beach bed lunch is just the standard one, or can suite guests get the enhanced one delivered?
I'm also struggling to figure out where everything is located to see if the beach beds are close to the enhanced lunch place - the only map I can find (from 2017) shows the cabanas (where I believe the lunch place is situated) off on the east side, but when I'm looking at the cabanas on the cruise planner it lists them as "south beach", which is where the map I have shows the beach beds and bungalows.
It's all very confusing, and the fact we're going just before the "new" cococay opens isn't helping, pretty much all the stuff I can find on the RC site now refers to the new version.

I assumed the reason was people were staying on board and drinking, so RC actually lost money on the drinks packages (or at least didn't make as much money as they'd like)
-
Budweiser, Miller Lite, Amstel Light, Heineken.
Thanks, that's disappointing.. we generally didn't use the free drinks in the lounge on the Jewel because they didn't have anything decent, we ordered from the main bar outside and carried it in, hoped the Indy might be a bit better.
-
Does anyone know what beers they have in the CL/SL on the Indy? We're in a grand suite, but can't decide whether to get the drinks package or not.
-
The selection was terrible on the Jewel, pretty much all lagers, they didn't have any IPAs, and only the sports bar stocked Guiness, everywhere else they had Newcastle Brown, which I haven't seen anyone drink for many many years.

Technically you could with a router, you would bet NATed so MAC addresses won't be an issue, and I doubt they will have any traffic monitoring sophisticated enough to pickup odd simultaneous behaviour. Not sure I've ever seen an off the shelf router that would allow you to use wifi as the external network, and you'd need to log in to the web portal thing, so you might have to use a raspberry pi or something similar and configure it yourself.

What port was this???

Going on in October so would definitely love to hear more.
Me too, and me too :p

Thanks for all the replies, the complaint is around an unacceptable private transfer, the car was filthy inside and out and not road worthy - we raised the issue as soon as we got on the boat and were assured we wouldn't have any issues on the way home, but when we got off we found the exact same car waiting for us. I emailed the concierge as soon as we got to the airport, but I want to try and make sure its raised properly as there's no way RC should be sending guests to and from the port in cars with ABS, traction control, flat tyre and long overdue service lights on, nevermind the fact the car appeared to have been fire damaged.

We use a Revolut card for all our travel, load it up with whatever money you want to spend, then you can convert it into whatever currency you need using your phone, and the conversion rates are pretty much the best around. Pretty sure you can get them in the States now too.
You also get chip and pin and contactless, which I'm not sure you always get with the cards from the 1990s technology US banks :D

Does anyone know the email address to write to for UK booking complaints? The "email" tab on the website only lets you fill in an online form, but I'd rather send a proper email so I can CC my travel agent.

The current concierge on the Jewel is Haffnar Pereira.
-
We wanted to ask the concierge a question, and could not reach her by phone. We went to the lounge, in the afternoon, and the door was locked.
Odd, I am on the Jewel currently and have been in the lounge at all kinds of times, maybe it's concierge specific, the current one is Haffnar.
-
The door works 24hours, there's just no staff in there. Also on the Jewel currently most folks we have seen in the lounge have been diamond and above, rather than gold cards - I am not sure the diamond lounge is even open on this cruise.

Think poster called grampa has posted these pics ,first cruise after refit.
I've had a search, for the post and the user, but came up blank - will have another look when I am on a pc.

Ditto, we had an email about a week before for the Jewel.
-
It Does have an outside area.
Thanks, good to hear, we quite like the one on the Jewel.
