What I find most interesting is there has been no mention of whether his belongings were still in his cabin. I mean, if he went overboard I doubt he packed and took his luggage with him. If he chose to sneak off or if someone carted him away wouldn't his luggage go with him?

When Carnival moved us from Freedom to Spirit last year, I lost my ambulatory assessable cabin and they said there were none available. My TA arranged for me to have a shower chair in the cabin. I actually just used the chair as a foot stool on the balcony. I really only needed the ambulatory assessable cabin for the grab bars in the shower and I purchased a suction cup grab bar on Amazon. The suction cup grab bar worked very well and I was confident that it was safe. So no, there are not shower chairs in regular cabins unless one is requested.
This is good info. Accessible cabins sellout fast. My husband is an amputee and we have those Amazon grab bars for other trips they work ok in a standard shower.

There is usually one no sugar added dessert in the mdr.
I've never been impressed with most of the buffet desserts, sugar or no.

Thank you both!

I tried searching and can't seem to put the right words in to find an answer.
DH and I are doing our first B2B next February. Our PCP told me we won't have to go 'all the way out' or go through security.
If we wanted to, how would we go about bringing the wine for our 2nd cruise on?

We are looking at a transatlantic on Carnival Freedom in September 2023 and I happen to notice it is sailing back to port canaveral in late Oct. Unfortunately I can't take that much time off, but you would have about 3 weeks in between the two.

We're looking into a repositiong cruise from Port Canaveral to Barcelona. We're thinking of spending 2 to 4 days after the cruise in Spain/Paris.
Will Port parking allow us to leave our vehicle extra days to pick up when we return? What are the logistics to arrange that?

Bitter n Blanc is my favorite dessert, but I need to try this confetti cheesecake!
Escargot - would eat it every night
Heuvos rancheros from blue iguana for breakfast with their green salsa
I love the bone marrow from the steakhouse, but it appears to be gone on the latest menu I saw.

We had a nice time on Elation. I found the ramps to board challenging and steep.
We ate in MDR a few times and lido a few times but for breakfast for me it was always Blue Iquana. Lido for me has always been a typical buffet experience, some good, some mediocre and some bad.
Staff was excellent. Fellow passengers were a mixed bag, but nothing outrageous.

Can anyone respond to how accessible princess cay is with a wheelchair?

Good Morning,
My husband is a recent amputee. He should have his prosthetic by the time we cruise. But we are not sure how adjusted he will be to walking on the prosthetic and at this time plan to bring his wheel chair and walker. Additionally I have a cpap that i will carry on. He can sit in the wheelchair at embarkation. I am just a little leary about carrying the walker, the cpap, our paperwork and other things we don't check. He should only need the walker at night to get to the bathroom at night. I am wondering about whether to check his walker or not.
thanks

I was going to say that I just pushed our November cruises back (Hubby had major surgery last week) and kept our OBC and the Cheers package. Our PVVP just had to find a cruise that would work under the Cheers promotion. Both cruises are slightly more expensive, but they were quite inexpensive to begin with.

We tend towards middle of the road. Always get an interior room and don't buy drink package. But we splurge on excursions and occasional specialty dining. I usually budget $150 a day for excursions and on board spending and bring some extra just in case. We do not limit ourselves on drinking, but usually do not drink enough to justify the drink package.
However on our upcoming 8 day cruise we have the drink package and will definitely enjoy it!

@FionaMG shared this thread with our roll call. A year ago when we booked another San Juan port cruise I decided to do as you are doing and look around for a walking tour. But I didn’t find options that I thought were ideal for us (for example I didn’t need to see both forts set a long distance from one another) and we wanted to mix in some shopping areas and some amazing food finds that I had run across in my research. It seemed to take forever to compile it and lay it out, but I finally pulled together a tour with all we wanted via google maps (I called it the “three amigos take San Juan” 😂). I don’t know that it would fit your needs, but I am happy to share it. Have a great time!
I would love to take a look at this! woozles@live.com

Kim, you can do a booking online and come up with a final price before committing. What you choose during the step by step process will tell you what is included, such as beverages, etc. You can also add a beverage package after booking if you choose to do so. MSC also has a “nice” cancellation policy - entire deposit refunded until 90 days prior to departure. When we sail the Caribbean we often choose the “easy drink package” when booking as we tend to be on the ship a lot and can take advantage of it. For our Mediterranean booking we did not choose a drink package as we felt we would be very busy visiting the ports as they will all be new to us.
I'm curious about the easy drink package. How are the wines available at that level? I drink white merlot or riesling. It appears as though one can get a virgin frozen drink and shot and create their own - whatever. Is that correct? Finally we enjoy mochas and lattes it looks like those are included yes?

On longer cruises, does the legend offer the 'bag' special on laundry?

I had read someone else say they get the fruit plate with warm melting chocolate cake. Now I ask for a few slices of fresh pineapple and dip it in the molten chocolate.

The thing about trip cancellation insurance is that literally everyone can absorb the cost of the "catastrophe" of missing a cruise. They actually are better off financially if they miss the cruise as you get ancillary expenses, taxes, fees, etc. returned. Which makes cancellation insurance all the more ridiculous. Contrast that with evac and medical, which pretty much everyone should have as those expensive are truly catastrophic. But dang, such great marketing and sales to be able to sell people "disappointment insurance" - I'm in the wrong business!
Yes, I am more concerned with evac and medical coverage than cancellation coverage. We did buy the 'cancel for any reason' policy through other than Carnival when we were cruising a month before our first grandbaby was due. It was not a huge amount extra and purchased shortly after booking. Our last cruise we booked three weeks before leaving and simply purchased evac and medical coverage.

What NEW small changes would you like to see?

I would love a drink card - the cheers package is not even break even for us, but give me the option of buying x drinks for a slight discount and I'd do that.
