Have the three of you ever shared a standard cabin? Do you get up at the same time so the bed could be converted back to seating quickly? The cabin is more spacious than a standard cabin, but not by much. The larger question really is how well do the three of you share a bathroom?  A 2BR is much larger, with a dining area, and extra bath as well as the private bedroom for her.  If only it weren't more expensive. When I've traveled with my adult son we've gotten a forward facing penthouse.  For us, the extra room, and more storage in those cabins more than offsets the walk to the Haven and is an easy compromise. For others, being outside of the courtyard is a non-starter.i

Yes it's me my husband and 17 year old daughter. We normally get a balcony. I was also debating on the forward cabin but the bedroom reminds me of an inside cabin. How did you like it?

  2. We're leaving on the Anthem next month and I'm purchasing the 6pk of tests from Emed.  I downloaded the Navica app for the test results. My husband will do the same.  I added my 17 year old daughter on my app under manage profile and add child.  She is bringing a friend (16 year old).  She will be using one of the test not sure if I can add her to my app (cause it states if you are a legal guardian to do so) or she downloads the app on her phone.  The app does state you should be 18 or older.  Anyone have any knowledge of this and had traveled with the app lately?

People do it all the time, sometimes with 4 adults. For some, it's not ideal. For others, it is necessary for a multitude of reasons.  We sail 3 in a cabin with our teen son who is 6'4" and it works out just fine. I say go for it.

Yep it is fine with 3 our teen daughter is 5' 11" and we are all fine in one balcony

  4. The bus service in Bermuda has become unreliable in recent years, largely due to old equipment that frequently breaks down . They have also been limiting the number of cruise ship passengers that can board the #7 buses at Dockyard that serve Horseshoe Bay and the other South Shore beaches because the residents of Bermuda need to use those buses to get to and from work, school, shopping, doctor's appointments, etc. Finally, they used to have direct express buses that operated between Dockyard and Horseshoe Bay, but ceased those operations a couple of years ago.

They bottom line is that if you want to get to the South Shore beaches such as Horseshoe Bay, the most practical way to do it is by using the shuttles or taxis. Anyone using the public bus system faces the likelihood of a long trip with a long wait for a bus. We've been going to Bermuda for more than 30 years and until two or three years ago always used the buses. We stopped using them because of the reasons I mentioned above. It's worth a couple of dollars more for the shuttle to be able to get to and from the beach quickly and conveniently. I don't want to spend my vacation standing in lines for long times at bus stops.

    How much are taxi's

  5. If this is your first visit to Bermuda, from the perspective of someone who has been to Bermuda perhaps 40 times, you MUST go to Horseshoe. In the last 2 years, transportation to/from from the ship via the $7 shuttle and the beach amenities (umbrellas and lounge chairs) have improved dramatically!! Go early and enjoy!!

Ok thanks, Pretty sure this will be our spot. But not sure of the $7 shuttle as we are a family of 3. But for the convenience we might just pay the money.

  6. Going to Bermuda the end of June on the Escape. We already have an all day excursion (Hidden Gems tours) on Wednesday and then planning on hitting Harbor nights that evening. Thursday looking to do some beach time. I need advice as to what beach(es) to hit and best transportation to get there. (We are getting a two day bus/ferry pass, and I know there is a NCL ferry to St George) So what did you do what was your plan?
