  1. This is true but regardless of which you method you bake please serve more than a cough drop sized portion of cranberry sauce with the meal. 🙂
  2. While we're on the subject, I'd like to talk about Carnival shipboard security operations. Other than gangway duty I rarely see security patrolling the decks on Carnival ships. We've all seen the late night brawls in the dance clubs on youtube with security attempting to restore order. Ask yourself how often have you seen a security team member patrolling the hallways on the decks where the sleeping cabins are located monitoring the halls to see if someone left their cabin door open, to record the location of scooters and wheelchairs left in the corridors in violation of the safety rules, or use their nose to be on alert for a potential smoldering fire in a linen closet? I can't think of one time in 28 Carnival cruises that I've seen that happen. Not once. If prevention is worth a pound of cure the security department should focus more on prevention than putting out disturbances on an "as needed" basis. From the example of the OP security can't even do this right and respond to incident reports long after the disturbance is over.
  3. This photo was taken aboard the Carnival Spirit yesterday, Thanksgiving, from the main dining room dinner per an internet posting since removed. We've known for years Carnival can't serve fresh carved turkey in the MDR for the holiday and uses pressed turkey instead. We much prefer dressing up for family photos and then changing into comfortable clothes and heading to the lido where whole turkey is carved to order on Thanksgiving. I'm a realist and I get that pressed turkey will be served in the MDR but we love that Carnival offers us a choice and it is still one of the few mass market cruise lines that offers carved turkey on this special day in one of its venues. The whole turkey photo was taken last Thanksgiving by family on the Panorama.
  4. Those rocks really look like what they call biscuits!
  5. That piece of beef looks like the scraps we toss to our dogs. Good that the tomato soup is back and that you enjoyed it.
  6. Some guests who choose the lido are dressed nicely there. Families especially seem to come shortly after they have their portraits taken by the ship photographers. Parents with little ones look happy because dad can loosen his belt buckle and eat hearty and moms don't have that anxious look like one of their children will spill their milk. I hope it works out well for your family whatever they decide.
  7. Was it the "liberal" slathering of maple donkey sauce on the All American that sent you over the moon for it? 🙂
