An informative review. As you observed, the QM2 is both a luxury and premium/mass market ocean liner.

My wife and I regularly take the QM2 (before that the QE2) to Europe and our experience has been identical to yours over the years. We have never taken the QM2 or the QE2 for a cruise for the reasons you mentioned. I thought your insights were impressive for the short time you were on the ship.

Our favorite unofficial game we play in the Queens Grill is "stump the chef" pre-ordering meals we have not enjoyed in a number of years. They do an excellent job and invariably rise to the occasion. You may take your dog(s) with you (the QM2 has a dog kennel) if you plan to be in Europe for an extended stay. We generally spend 10 weeks in Europe in the spring and again in the fall and enjoy having our dog with us.

I hope Seabourn's head office will take the recent food criticism seriously. If they don't, they will lose a significant amount of repeat business to a number of other cruise lines (i.e. Crystal, Regent, etc.).
