Hoping to know if Sapphire Princess has been offering the wine maker dinners of late? If so, when and where do you sign up, costs, and menus if you have one. Thx

Thanks!

We are schedule for the Regal TA sailing Nov 3rd. The rules for US and UK are just that - cruises in/out of US and UK. The TAs cross that line and understand there is a 14 day quaratine period (no guests) for ships coming into the US before they can sail out of US ports with passengers. My questions are: (1) does the 14 day "q" period requirement expire before Nov 3rd? and (2) where and what would one watch to monitor this? Its a dynamic thing for sure and one would hope PC is fully engaged with the CDC on these things... I truly hate thinking my first indicator will be an email from PC canceling us.

How long before the cruise were you able to select an arrival time in the app?

Thats what I'm being told. So whatever time the hotel shuttle gets me there is good. And yes, saving that email, printing it off at Office Depot, and keeping a screenshot just in case the port doesn't believe me
Has ANYONE been able to select an Arrival time yet? I see lots of issues but not sure it is even possible yet. We're scheduled for Nov 3 sailing...so assumed (?) they just hadn't opened it up yet.

pa247 - how did this work for you? We just booked on Regal and my daughter has both gluten and dairy intolerance. We went on Caribbean Princess last year and really disappointed to how they handled it. It wasn't terrible but very much lacking compared to other cruise lines (GF rolls and buns and not just toast each meal). Of course the servers were fantastic but the chef/kitchen left some easy stuff undone. Hoping you had more choices. thanks

That's why we wanted to see what the normal experience is wrt time off and time to being at the airport!

I'm nervous too booking a 10 am flight BUT the trade off is more than 50% lower flight and getting home mid afternoon versus later in the evening. Plan B becomes using AA freq flyer miles...and getting what we get :) With all that said, we aren't typically risk takers and will fret that AM (if we go with the 10 am flight).

I just booked a 9:53 am flight from FLL... what has been the times folks get to the airport if they do express walk off? I have 24 hours to cancel my flights but sure hate too. Lowest cost, direct flight, etc.! Thanks

How was E501? We just booked it!

I hope that is most people's experience. The wait staff was fantastic as was the folks above them... they just didn't have many/any options.

sorry to hear that... we were looking at an Alaskan cruise next...

We went Princess on the Caribbean Princess last fall (17) and had notified them prior and on the cruise regarding my daughter's intolerance to both gluten and dairy. We were disappointed in the lack of food for her. They had no bread other than toast and no desserts other than sherbet. They didn't have Udi brand buns or bread (easy accessible). Our comparison was with Royal Caribbean which really did a great job by providing had rolls, buns, cake, special desserts, etc. (we were very impressed with RC's ability to provide for these allergies). We really enjoyed the Princess cruise in every other way but not looking to go back any time soon due to the food experience. What I didn't know and hoped to get insight from others on is whether our experience was a single ship/chef OR if that was the norm... ?? thanks

We were just on CB in early Sept. NO ISSUES realized at all compared to what we had read prior. Understand your concern completely as we had them too. Our only issue was the food was as mediocre as written about... service was impeccable, shows super, etc. but the food...not so much. We didn't miss any meals though :) They really are years behind on dealing with food allergies compared to what we experienced on Royal Caribbean...but I suspect someone would have the exact comment in the opposite direction on a different ship :) Enjoy the CB! We did even after reading all the bad press.

Thanks for the review! We fly out a week from today for the London (2 nights), then Southampton (1 night) and then 29 Aug departure. I'm still worried about whether to get money exchanged before we leave or to just trust in the ATM approach! Been a long time since i've traveled abroad so I'm anxious on the money! What did you do?

Any one with GF and dairy issues have any success with the pizza at Slice? And any dairy free ice cream or chocolate any where on the ship? thanks

Thanks and WoW! I love cruise critic and the insight you cruise zealots provide...quickly :) Another but related question...debit card vs credit card? I saw from Rick Steves that use a debit to get cash and use a bank's atm if possible. Agree? thanks

I'd like to get some thoughts and best practices on getting money for the British Isles cruise (Caribbean Princess, 8/29/17 sailing) that hits England (BP), Ireland (euro), N. Ireland (BP), Scotland (BP) and France (euro). Is it best to hit a bank atm upon arrival, before we fly over, or some mix? I don't feel very confident on this topic and what to think about so help get me to be a savvy European traveler. THANKS

Dsarah - we're on your cruise and have a 1230pm flight...DW thinks way too close. What have you found out since Nov at your last post?! Thanks!
-
Ditto - we're on 29 Aug sailings. Most recent platters we've seen is at http://www.hotspringstips.com/caribbean-princess-cruise/index.html from 2016. Hopefully someone will respond with more updated versions.

thanks everyone!

When we previously cruised, we always had to wait significantly longer than everyone else around us. It was still a great blessing as the girls could actually eat new and fun things but we ended up spending 3-4 hours in the MDR each day (B, L, D). Did y'all experience longer wait times?

We've never sailed on PC and have a DD with severe dairy and moderate gluten intolerance. Love to hear some recent experiences and if PC food preparation for these dietary issues is done in a separate and dedicated space. thanks in advance!
