So I think what many of us are asking is 1} Are there any hotels that do day passes for cruisers in the Palma nova area 2] names of beach clubs in Palma Nova that rent sunbeds, umbrellas etc, 3} Does Nikkibeach rent sunbeds

I think most of us want to have some plan before leaving the ship.

This is the exact information I am needing for my upcoming Harmony of the Seas cruise in July. We are looking for a beach where we can rent chairs and have some drinks. We love to people watch so a more lively atmosphere is good. I am considering Illetas or Palmanova/Magalluf. Any help would be appreciated.

Guests that are participating in Royal Caribbean International's Air/Sea, transfers or pre-hotel program will not be given an arrival appointment, as we will be handling your arrival time at the pier.

Im just wondering how we will know what time to show up if they are handling it at the pier? Anyone out there that has had this experience?

Thanks! I just went in and made final payment and discovered that since I booked my airfare through Choice Air/Air2Sea, I have a different check in process and don't have an assigned time as of right now...anyone else experienced this?

Good morning all! My family is sailing on the Harmony of the Seas in July. We have not sailed on RCCL in a few years and I'm trying to get information on assigned boarding times. This is new to me as we have never had to choose a boarding time before.

Is this done by floor? Since we will be sailing out of Barcelona, will they be strict on the boarding times?

Others on my roll call have chosen their boarding time, but I can't find where I need to do that? Is it because I haven't made final payment?

Any help would be appreciated..we are veteran cruisers but have never sailed from Europe before.

Were on the Harmony out of Barcelona in July...to me it's a win/win. We get to sail on a beautiful new ship and see the Med. We will be arriving in Barcelona 2 days prior to our cruise and we plan to get on the ship as early as possible the first day. This will basically be a sea day for us. We are also planning a beach day in Palma and will be back on the ship early afternoon..so lots of time on the ship that day too. I think you can make it work if you want to. There are no rules!

I don't know what cruise you are on or what airport you want to leave from. Just for kicks, I picked the Brilliance leaving out of Barcelona June 19. Cheapest flight, with decent times, I could find, leaves Ohare about 2:30pm and gets you into Barcelona at 8:50am the day of the cruise. It's $710 p.p. which seems a little pricey, but I'm sure it's a lot cheaper than booking through someone else.

I agree with the recommendation of going a day early, just in case. There's a lot to see and do in Barcelona and it will help you recover from jet lag and relieve some of the stress of missing your cruise.

Is that 710.00 a roundtrip price or one way? If R/T it's way cheap. If oneway, it's about what I am paying at the end of June.

TxStacey we also paid about $400 less per person than even the airlines website. The price has been either rising or staying the same higher price.

We will be getting off the day you embark! Will try and keep the ship neat for you!! LOL

Thanks for the response; I might be doing something wrong as I'm not getting any discounts over what I pull up on Travelocity, etc., or the airlines themselves for Chicago to Barcelona in June. I'll keep trying and hoping for a miracle, right now the flights are quite a bit more than expected and of course I need them X4! At this rate we're spending more on airfare than we did on the cruise. It is what it is but I'm hopeful for some sudden price break using air2sea.

I booked my air through Air2Sea a couple of weeks ago for my Harmony Cruise..DFW to Barcelona. I have been watching the airfare since June and it has been going up since then. I finally pulled the trigger because I was afraid that the air would go up so much that I would be priced out of the cruise. We ended up paying almost the same per person for air that we are paying per person for the cruise. Air2Sea was over 400.00 pp less than what I could get through any of the other travel sights or directly through the airlines. Good Luck..I feel your pain!

We booked our air in the beginning of August from JFK to BCN for our June 26th Harmony cruise with Choice Air and paid $1,040 per person which was a good deal considering booking directly with the airlines was something like $300 more per person. Delta was $600 per person more which we are SkyMile Members, was disappointed! So we are going with American because the price was so drastic. The fare has gone up and up since we booked.

Ken we are on Harmony right after you. I wish I had gotten 1040.00 Round Trip..should have booked it when I first saw it! I booked this past Monday with Choice Air and paid 1442.00 R/T from Dallas to Barcelona. That's with British Airways going and AA coming back. If I had booked directly with the airlines, I would have to pay around 2000.00.

We have friends that are cruising with us on the Harmony and they haven't booked their air yet...any chance that it might go down in the next few months? We didn't want to chance it, but they are willing to.

Just booked air with Air2Sea for my Harmony cruise out of Barcelona in July. We are flying out of Dallas on Thursday night and will arrive in Barcelona via Heathrow on Friday around 2:00 in the afternoon. This will give us a day and a half to acclimate to the time and jetlag. I do not want to start out the cruise tired as it will be tiring enough with all of the wonderful ports!

Wow Ken...that is great airfare to Barcelona..I will be on the Harmony the week after you. The cheapest I have been able to get is through ChoiceAir for 1414.00 RT from DFW...however, it is even more when I check kayak or orbitz..yikes!

We got into a bit of a…disagreement…after dinner. Mom wanted to find the bus stop and see if it was still running to get back to the hotel. Stephanie wanted to take a cab. I wanted to walk. We were finally getting a feel for the city. It was a beautiful (if not slightly chilly) evening. And we were in Paris! We were barely a mile and a half from the hotel and the city girl in me can’t take a cab for distances less than two miles. So we started to walk. They complained. We walked more, through Notre Dame and the Louvre back into Madeleine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

By the time we got back to the hotel, I had one thing on my mind: a long soak in that marble tub. I couldn’t shake the little voice in my head telling me I shouldn’t leave Paris without a little token. A little token with LV monograms. So as I relaxed in bed that night, I did a little research. Within a couple of minutes, I read all I needed to know: if I did opt to make a purchase, I’d save quite a bit. I am a girl who loves a deal, after all. And with that, our plans for the next day were set.

I am a big LV fan..cannot wait to hear about the deal that you got!

Nicole, Nicole, Nicole..I just had to skip ahead and read the next installment on your blog..the pictures were fabulous..but now I have to know what kind of deal you got on that LV????:)

Thanks so much Nicole for taking the time to write this review and post the pictures..they are stunning! Naples is the port that I am most looking forward to on my upcoming Harmony cruise. I noticed that you all had on sweaters in your pictures there. Do you know what the approx. temperature was? We will be going in early July and I just want to be prepared.

Congrats on your engagement! I am sailing out of Barcelona next July on the Harmony of the Seas..7 day itinerary..but many of the same ports as your 12 day. We will be in Barcelona just 2 days prior to cruising. I am loving your pictures. Since we only have 2 days, we are also considering the HOHO bus. Would you still recommend 2 days on it or just 1? Also what would you consider the highlights that we must see in 2 days? Thanks for taking the time to write this an post pictures..they are awesome!

Thanks Nicole! I have subscribed to the Kayak predictor! There is not a non stop flight from DFW to BCN. I actually looked at Choice Air yesterday and they had an AA flight that was 300 less than on the AA website. The times were awesome too, so we may go with Choice Air for a change. Cant wait for the next installment!

The link must be fixed as I was just able to check prices on my upcoming flight to Barcelona. They are offering a flight I am looking at on American for 309.60 less than American...that's quite a savings for 3 people:eek: and the flight times are actually really good. I have not ever used Choice Air in the past..are there any major drawbacks if I like the times? Also, does anyone know if I would be able to use my advantage miles to upgrade my seats if I go through Choice Air?

Cant wait for your next installment Nicole! I saw on your blog that you are planning another Med cruise..how exciting! One quick question..how far in advance did you buy your air tickets? I am looking into flights now from DFW and they are $$$. Just wondering when to bite the bullet..
