The new Pinnacle Class ships....larger, younger (for HAL).  BB King Blues Club and Rock and Roll.  But they are still not party ships. Any Caribbean itinerary....

We are boarding the Zaandam today, HAL still says departure still at 3:00, boarding at 11:00.  For what that is worth…..

Keep in mind that those little adapters are 220 volt not 110!!!!!!

We are so glad that we have VeriFly to use.  Our trip to South America next week still requires vax and or proof of negative testing.  So nice to have, and makes it easier to board.

So do we have a good idea where the Zaandam will dock at Port Everglades this next Saturday?

The under used spaces are some of the best on the ship!

Pinnacle ships are very good because of the variety of venues.

I was once told by a Captain on the Kdam that they could go through the Canal with "special permission", whatever that meant.

Ya, corkage fees have little to do with corks!

CO restaurant is what the MDR used to be like a few years ago.  It is not an upgrade.  Also, for Neptunes, the CO concept is a downgrade.

No access to the Pinnacle Grill for CO peeps.

Holland America was much more a first class second class organization 10 years ago.

I really hope there is a change.  We have never been able to anything, anytime on any ship OTHER than basic email...ever!

I still expect quality food in the specialty restaurants and, ummm, usually get it. 

Glad you had success.  Those are still low speeds for that kind of streaming.  Hope it is consistent throughout the ship/ships....

And what does this have to do with:  

Free wifi refers to the INTRANET only. Meaning, you can message someone else on the ship, not to anyone else.  For texting to others "at home" you need to buy an internet package.  Calling someone else is a different story...

So there you are in a foreign county, the ship leaves without you (for whatever reason) and your passport is on the ship.  This question has always bothered me.  What "should" we do?  I especially find it awkward when the Ship confiscates all the passports for the entire sailing.  We take a photo copy on shore with us. Hmmmmm...
