I’m kind of in the same boat so to speak.  I’m certain I’ll sail on VV at some point because I love sailing on new ships and experiences, but I no longer feel any urgency.  The ship will be sailing out of my back yard on short itineraries that are frankly meh, so I feel I’ll be able to jump aboard at any point. I’m comfortable with waiting until others have tested out the product first, and I truly hope the love it and report back great things.  I really really want to love this new product, but I’m not there yet by a long shot.  Still hoping though!

I'm in South Florida as well. Getting to POM is just a train ride away, love the Brightline. I also really want to like VV because like yourself, I love new ships and new experiences. But, in this case, I'm going to wait and see. Besides, the lady who took my reservation said that I only had 7 days to cancel after making the reservation. After that no refunds, the money would go towards another booking.

  2. The day after I booked a cruise for Sept. next year I cancelled it. I'm just not completely sold on the Scarlet Lady. My cabin cost $3,700 K for 5 days going to ports that I don't really care for. Maybe VV will be too funky for me... I'm 60 and I don't care for tattoo parlors and

drag shows (however, I think that would be interesting). Why do you need an electric guitar in your cabin? Isn't that going to be too loud for your next door neighbor?! I don't think I would like to share those big beds on the sun deck with people I don't know. I think I'm just getting cold feet and I might be too old or just feel too old for the VV vibe. I will wait for real cruisers' pictures and reviews. No need to rush into it. But I wish you all who are booked a wonderful time. Come back and let us know. Who knows,I might get the Scarlet bug again...

  3. I've booked a Seriously Suite and had to pay an extra deposit of $220. This is for the Dominican Daze Sept. 18. We've been to Cuba already and we don't want to go back. It was so sad... Don't want to go to Costa Maya (we were just there for New Year's Eve). I have to say the itineraries are pretty blah! But I'm looking forward to something new in cruising.

All pricing is posted on their website.  Just go to the VV homepage, click "Explore" in the top right, and find the date you're interested in.  You do can pretty much everything but make the actual booking.  That is coming on Feb 14.

I've tried that... all I get is the seal
