I had reserved and paid for a Chill Island cabana for this Friday's Navigator of the Seas sailing.  However, I received an email an hour ago saying it was cancelled.

First time I called, person did not have any info and was told to email Shore Excursions.   Then, he tries to sell me a drink package.  I told him that was ridiculous and called back for a manager.

Manager said there was a mass cancellation on site but had no info why.  He did agree with me that I should not have been attempted an upsell.

Anyone else here cancelled for May 25th at Coco?  Has this happened to anyone else before?

It's probably because Navigator is now no longer the only ship at Coco Cay on May 25th. We are on the same sailing dates as you on the Mariner of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. We recently received an email that our itinerary has changed and we are now going to be at Coco Cay on May 25th. Looks like we are sharing the island with you which should be all kinds of fun since we are both ships with 3800+ passengers! What on earth was Royal Caribbean thinking?!?

It's 1/2 of Diamond Plus.  One free 24-hour period OR $23 off a package.

what does the package cost on board (We are on Mariner next weekend)? Trying to decide whether to buy it online ahead of time or onboard with the $23 discount.

Need it on 4 devices total (1 for each of our party of 4). 3 of us are diamond members. Any suggestions on how we should buy what we need?

Cruise planner is showing 1 device at $14.99, 2 at $24.99, 3 at $29.49 and 4 devices at $33.99 per day

  3. Does anyone know the pricing of non-alcoholic frozen drinks on the Mariner of the Seas? Called RCCL and they couldn't tell me how much it was for a frozen virgin pina colada or daiquiri nor could they tell me if they were included in the refreshment package. Not sure about Johnny Rockets milkshakes either. Just kept saying they should be which is not a gamble I want to take.

Also, need 2 of them. Is it recommended to buy in planner or wait for a special on board? Are there any diamond discounts on them?

For the Mariner folks they changed which day visit coco cay / nassau so excursions may be messed up and they went from having the island to themselves to sharing with Navigator, their sister ship.

I'm on the Mariner and as you predicted not happy about the switch. Not only does it affect plans in Nassau, going from having the island to ourselves to now sharing with another 3800+ people is not what we signed up for

As a continuation of this post - how are the JS on deck 10 ? We have never booked an aft cabin before, but we did for our next cruise, We booked JS Aft 1694 ?  How are these rooms/balconies ?  From what I could find for videos, the balconies look huge, but just wanted to make sure.

    Thanks

We had this exact cabin on Mariner of the Seas last October and loved it! The balcony is huge  and you're high enough that the obstruction isn't an issue. If it was available now I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

  6. Thank you everyone for the great advice! I have booked the Junior Suites Deck 7 cabins 7694/7392, even though they're not side by side they are close enough especially since thanks to  Merion_Mom we now know we couldn't open the balcony dividers anyways.

Since we're going for my daughter's 23rd birthday and she and her friend have their own cabin I'm sure the girls will be pleased we're not right next door lol

  7. We are interested in 2 Aft balconies on Mariner of the Seas.

What's left are E1 Balconies 8690/8692 or Junior Suites Deck 7 cabins 7694/7392 or Deck 6 6392/6394/6694.The price difference between E1 and Jr Suite is $145 per cabin.

All of the ones are available are Obstructed view and wondering how badly they are obstructed. Hoping that some of them might be a little better percentage of obstruction where it may not be as significant. Anyway to find that out?

Also, can you open the balconies between cabins if we decide to go with 2 that are side by side?

Anyone here have personal experience to recommend which 2 cabins we should choose?

  8. We are going to be in Casablanca in January and would like to get a car with driver/guide to take us around. I've heard Casablanca isn't very safe so maybe we need to go to Rabat? It's my 21 year old daughter's graduation trip and she always wanted to go to Africa so this is the most important port for us and we want it to be special. Any recommendations of who would be safe and reliable to take the 3 of us will be greatly appreciated!

  9. We would like to get a company that will chauffeur us around, hopefully one that is in several ports and that way we can negotiate a better price for multiple bookings. We have done that before on cruises in the mediterranean and also greece/turkey and was hoping to find the same for this Spain/Canary Islands cruise.

do you mean a self drive or a company which will chauffeur you around?

If the latter we found smaller independent companies based on each island was the normalcompanies offering tours in several ports tended to be 3rd party companies
