Agree. Did not trust SS for our 1/13 /25 Tokyo hotel so booked Tokyo station hotel for 3 nights . Stayed there 15 years ago so don’t remember much other than great location
-
We stayed at the Sofitel for 3 nights after our cruise down from Hawaii. Well run hotel , Booked a number of local tours. We enjoyed the food etc. stayed in an overwater room . Only swam form the beach because the currents at the point were swift.

Terry agree on the Oberoi in Agra . Where else can you lie in bed and look at the Tag over your feet! We just booked the guide you used in Tokyo. Thank you for the name

One would think they would not repeat what they did to us on the 1/6 trip from Aquba .

We have 90 days on SB and 30 some on SS with an upcoming one on SS. They are variations of a theme. . If I had to pick one I would pick SB but barely . SS was not very forthcoming with their handling of our recently cancelled Red Sea trip but they had a lot of ships in the air. Both have the same clientele but SB peeps seem a bit more relaxed. Can’t go wrong with either.

Looks like the Moon is finally back on track again.
Has anybody from the Jan 6 sailing had any communication from Silversea regarding the reimbursement on incurred travel expenses or the FCC that is supposed to be given as a result of the trip's disruptions?
We have asked for the charge for canceling our bus class tix to Jordon and back from Dubai , only $400 luckily and no answer in theory we have $100 fcc for the trip we transferred to. Back to Seaborne after we take the trip. Glad the Moon is cruising again .

You will enjoy it and the red fort nearby . We were staying at the Oberoi nearby and once you work thru the phalynx of vendors outside the gates it is serene inside. Arrive early if you can
-
Great island but skipping vanilla visas is also a great idea
-
Sounds like when they told us the Moon for our 1/6 trip would be in 2 places at once . The Moon is star crossed it seems
-
I think SS is doing a decent job on this one. Better than what we got for our 1/6 Moon . We stayed once at the Oberoi there and had a drink at the Trident which is basically attached and it is a nice property

Penfold Grange price drop , never have seen that
-
I truly hope some of the crew is enjoying our silver suite 1005 . I am glad they cancelled us but maybe the crew can enjoy sleeping in nice quarters as they keep trucking around Africa

Did you receive any sort of Ts and Cs other than the email they sent? I know Delta made a big deal out of the changes they made. And, I know some were not happy about them. But, they made a point of telling me I was "Grandfathered" in.
I'm also Premier 1K with United. Not nearly as good perks as with Delta, though. But, I know they do status match. Just not sure what translates to what.
It was cut out 10 years ago. The Benefits were the lounge and occasional upgrade. I was/am a UA flier so rarely used them

@graphicguy I support and agree with everything you said. I am a 5 mil miler with Delta. I went from lifetime Platinum to lifetime diamond. I am not sure you gain access to the Skyclub with Platinum Delta. If so, I missed that. What I am excited about is the four global upgrades. Now we are talking, thank you Delta. This conversation is a Great one. Anyway we can help others gain value, it the best conversation we can have.
Cruise well and enjoy every moment.
Same for me at United at 2mm . Had a delta flying colonel card for years (because of using a lot of Dl airfreight) great benefits but they dropped it a few yers ago. Good thread

A lot of fuel burned with no revenue. Airlines can swap planes can SS swap ships ?
-
The good news I guess is you got 20% and your money back. When we backed out on 12/8 fir the 1/6 trip from Aquba we got credit for another trip and if we took a trip less than the $29 k investment no cash back just credit again
-
You have provided a great and measurable service to future SS travelers headed to the region and beyond

Glad that SS may be getting their act together and treating passengers well? We had till 12:8 to decide on the 1/6 trip on the Moon the choice was cancel with credit( not refund) for the $28k we paid or go or forfeit . No consideration for air visas etc
-
SS is Spirt airline it seems. This was to be our return from SB
-
Wow. I now am very glad we cancelled. What a mess for all on all levels. They probably will sail empty to Dubai as they must have a full ship from there headed to Mumbai ?
-
I hope they have a great and safe time. I’m sure they will be well treated by SS. In many ways sorry we canceled on 12/8 but too many (red) sea days
-
Great stuff looks like Drake lake so a quiet 2 days ahead?
-
Great stuff, enjoy Brown Bluff surreal place
-
Our deadline was 12/8 we tried just doing the second leg etc . The trip was obviously fully paid for but we had to make the call stay or move by 12/8. We did it on 12/7
