Jamman54, thank you SO much for the great review. First, I'm so sorry about your son, I'm glad you got a sign from him. I'm also really glad to hear that Ryan is much better! :) Second, after reading your review and seeing all the amazing pictures, we decided the Fascination will be our next cruise. I've sailed on the Magic as my first ship, so naturally I'm a bit nervous about a "smaller" ship, but then again, your review made me feel a lot better about it.

This is a great post for the first time cruiser over here! I am just a little over 30 days out and have already packed beach towels, suntan lotion, and things we wont need until the cruise. I did not even think about notifying my bank that I may use my card out of the country. I have also set up a roaming data plan on my phone. I am looking into excursions, and have nailed down parking at the port.
To save space in your luggage you don't have to take a beach towel. The ship has some in your room when you get there. Also, you can get some by the pool on the Lido deck. We brought ours but never even used them. :-) Hope you have a great time on your cruise!!

Wow I'm so glad I found this thread! My fiance and I took our first cruise last year (11/2014). We just booked our honeymoon cruise for October 2016. The first real response I got was "Oh wow, another cruise? Lucky you." I actually feel slightly bad about the fact that we are highly considering booking another cruise this year just so we aren't waiting over 600 days. It's not even that we make a ton of money either, we just manage our money.
I wish I would have found this forum last year before my cruise, but I am so glad I found it now. Makes waiting so much easier since I can share my new passion with people. :-)

Bar hop poker run. Each participant brings a deck of cards (hopefully with different backs so you can tell them apart) and each player pays an ante of, suggest $5 or $10. Each participant picks a different ship bar, go to player number one's bar, order a round and have each participant draw one card from player one's deck. When finished move to player 2's favorite bar order another drink and have everyone draw a card from player 2's deck. Continue on in this fashion until all players have a card from each participant. Best poker hand wins the pot.
You can play as individuals or couples.

We are getting married Oct 15th, 2016, but not on the cruise. The cruise will be our honeymoon. We are in Maryland and really want to sail on the Carnival Breeze, so to have family and friends attend the wedding, we decided to do it a week before.

The cove balcony to me is much better. We were on the Magic and had a cove balcony and it was very private and quiet. However, no you can not open the balconies with those as far as I know.

Okay so my fiance and I have booked a cruise for Oct 2016 on the Breeze. It will be our honeymoon cruise. We both want to go on a cruise between now and then.
We've narrowed it down to the Carnival Ecstasy or the Carnival Sensation. Both end up going to the Bahamas and both are four day cruises from Florida. Any reviews/comments on either ship? I know they are both smaller than the Breeze.
Thank you in advanced.

Thank you for your review. We are looking into the smaller ships to sail this year (going on the Beeze in 2016). So this was helpful.

Thank you. My first cruise and I want to make sure I could find my way around. From all the reading, I have a feeling we will spend a lot of time on the lido and promenade decks, but it's nice to have an idea of where things are located.
I thought I would spend the entire week lost, but you would be surprised on how quickly you learn where everything is. We kept a map in our room, but never used it. Have a GREAT time!!

Need help booked on Breeze rates of lowered slightly on Balconies and I now see the cove balcony in my price range should I keep my deluxe ocean view with the junior tub or upgrade to the cove balcony. I have never had a balcony previously. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Personally we liked the balcony. We had booked an ocean view on the magic, but got upgraded to a balcony room. The cove balconies are nice, but still are private in my opinion. You get a good view and they are really nice to sit out on in the morning or evening. We just booked a room on the breeze for 2016 and made sure we got a cove balcony.

Thank you all for the feedback. We went on the magic in November 2014 and had a cove balcony and loved it. My fiance's sister had a regular balcony on the 10th floor and we were up there a bit, I just didn't like the balcony as much as the cove. The cove to me seems more private.

Awesome! Hope you guys had a good time! Thank you for your feedback.

Wow, how exciting! You have a fabulous couple of years to look forward to!
Yeah, hopefully it flies by. I'm super excited for our next cruise.

*sighs* 614... :-( Feels like a lifetime, but at least I have house hunting, moving, engagement and a wedding to keep me busy between now and then.
-
Yeah the sun was pretty bad when we were in room 2275 on the Magic. It was always so bright.
-
Any reviews on these room? We just booked ours (2260) and one for my sister (2285) for the Breeze for October 2016.

mountainbreeze, I was on the same cruise (it was my first cruise). I wish I would have met you there, it would have been nice. Anyways, I loved your review. I was on the phone with my fiance as I read this and he too said the same thing. It was nice (and interesting) to read a review from someone else on that ship.

Anyone booked for this yet? We are planning this for our honeymoon. Just wanted to see if anyone else would be on board. :-)
