As long as you are in the first batch of people to walk off, with your luggage (don;t put it out the night before) then you would just make it. I would not risk it.

Just as an extra note for the Kids accounts,
When we did Indonesia and had to pay the Visa fee (2012) they took the visa fee off the kids cards, Reception fixed it quickly by linking all cards and paying the fee from my card and then made the kids individual again.

I have usually tipped my Cabin steward and once our Dining room waiter.
But Only on 7+ nights as on the shorter cruises I have barely seen them and they are less likely to make efforts to know you.

There was some talk of a trial of free shuttle bus that was going to do a loop from the terminal to Semaphore and Port Adelaide, but I can't find any current information abut it.

Check out Spotlight too, they have a great costume section.

Hello
I have been on the Eden twice,
Me and my group did not enjoy Angelo's, on either of the cruises.
The food was bland, cold and the staff were not enthusiastic, we had chosen to go one night as it was a friends birthday, he asked for 2 desserts "because it was his birthday" the server said NO you can only choose 1 items each.
Dragon Lady was Amazing, food was creative and different, staff was lovely, atmosphere great. We noticed a lot of the upper staff, Captain and Guest Comedians were dining here too.
We had the no problem in the restaurant, which we ate in most evenings.
We Used the Pantry for breakfast and Lunch and were happy with the variety, My only complaint is the crappy tables and chairs they have in there.

Hello, In the past I have purchased a bottle of wine at dinner and then taken the leftover to my room after with no problems.
Remember if you are going on the Aria or Eden there is no Fridge but ask your cabin steward for an Ice Bucket.

Yes the Waterfront is Anytime dining,
But I have heard from others they let people in from 5.30 to 6.45, and then don't let anymore in till 7.30 which gives them time to get the first group in and out and table all cleared up and ready to go again at 7.30
But I will know for sure in 10 days time :-)

I went to one of the "trail" events they have where you get to have 5 min of massage, a 5 min face cream and a 5 min makeup thing.
At the end of this they did a balloon drop and there were special offers in each balloon. I got a 30 min hot stone massage for $69, and I really enjoyed it I was lucky not to have a pushy seller so was able to just relax and enjoy.
People were swapping the offers they got in the balloons and some people where just putting them on the table so you could go see if there was any offers which appealed. This was about half way on a 12 night cruise so they may not do it on a shorter cruise.

On Our 3 night cruise, the first night was Bianco and the second Night was Gatsby. the last night did not have a theme.
Sounds unusual that boarding time is 5.30, You may find 5.30 is Departure time.
All of the short cruises I have done they have done boarding between 11.30 - 4pm with the ship Departing between 5-6pm depending on where you are leaving from.
The only time I have found them strict on checking in time is on long cruises especially when you need to go through customs.

:( Oh, I get it now.

Hello again, I noticed your original question was for the Eden, so they reply's you got would have been accurate if that had been the ship you went on.
-
Sorry you did not get the time you would have liked but just
because you missed getting the middle times you would never go on P&O again?
You may have just got a bad door host, on our last cruise we came along at about 6.30 one night and asked to be on a waiting list in case people did not arrive for their booked table, we waited about 15 min and they gave us a table that had not shown up for their allocated sitting time.
I always make booking dinner a first priority, once you have been in for the first night you can ask for the same time for your whole cruise.
Only Aria and Eden are on walk up times.

I have heard of it before, however the fault is usually the Bank for not releasing the funds quickly.
-
Yes you need to book Angelo's and Dragon Lady, they usually take the bookings in the bar just between the entrance to both restaurants on embarkation day.
-
$7 per day, soft drinks from the premix, not cans, like coke, sprite, fanta that type of thing, I was also able to order a Lemon lime and Bitters (I did this several times and was never charged)
-
we had 6026 and 6022 both were Obstructed view, all we could see was the deck area, but still plenty of sunlight. They were right next to the atrium area so it was easy to get up and down the levels.

I was happy with the room and it's cleanliness, sheets were lovely and clean, pillows soft and fluffy. you don't spend a lot of time in there except to sleep.
Bathrooms are dated but they were clean. Its a bath / shower so that will be good for your little one.

Make booking the salt grill a priority when you 1st get on board.
they do all the bookings for Salt Grill, Angelos and Dragon lady in the same place, and it's a very small restaurant so they book out quickly.
They did not do a Salt Grill High tea on the last short cruise I went on.
-
On my last short cruise they only offered the $7 per day soft drink pack
-
When I was Onboard in December you just had to show up and wait for a table at the main dining room, I never waited long to get in.
Angelos and The Dragon lady were included free as part of the package in December (pretty sure they still are) you need to book these when you fist board. If you are interested in them I suggest you make it a priority 1st thing to do when you get on board, they were taking bookings for Angelos, Dragon Lady and Salt grill at the same place, the bar at the entrance to both specialty restaurants.
You can always cancel the booking if you change your minds.
Enjoy your cruise

I did not get to see the kids club but the kids onboard seemed happy. Only thing is there is not much for them on the ship other than the kids club and the main pool. but for a 6yr old I would expect they would be very happy in the kids club.

Have been on the Eden, room were fine I had obstructed oceanview and found them very roomy. Beds were soft and pillows nice and fluffy.
