  1. I’m looking for information or the policy/procedure for purchasing bottles of liquor at the cruise port. For those of you who have purchased liquor at the port were you responsible bringing the bottle to the ship and checking it in or was it delivered to the ship and checked in that way?

  2. I really want to go cave tubing while in Belize. Am I crazy for worrying about bats in the caves? Hubby thinks I'm crazy and I realize I probably am. Can anyone who has done cave tubing assure me this is a non issue? Thanks!

  3. I'm back from my inside cabin cruise and thought I'd post back. We didn't mind the inside cabin and would book one again.

If the price difference was negligible, we'd probably go for the balcony, but if it's a few hundred dollars or more, we can't justify the expense because all other aspects of the cruise are equal and we we really don't spend much time in our cabin... balcony or not.

The only thing we sort of minded was that DH had to go down to the lower promenade deck every morning and report back on the weather. But he stopped by the coffee bar and brought me a chai latte, so it worked out great for me :D

I'm prone to seasickness and was worried about out how I'd do in our aft inside, but I took ginger and wasn't seasick at all.

Thank you for posting back with your recent experience. I'm glad your interior cabin worked out for you. I'm sure the chai latte from DH helped! I'm pretty sure we'll be ok too. I just have to remember to set an alarm and keep the muted tv on.

  4. I'm also interested in finding a PVP. I generally like to do things my way on my time. For my honeymoon cruise I reluctantly decided to use a (recommended) TA. It was my first cruise, I knew nothing about cruising and I was up to my neck in wedding plans. Well that plan backfired! The entire experience was one headache after another. She was useless. No need to bother you with the details. I think I will totally benefit from a dependable PVP. I can do all the leg work and use the PVP to answer my questions and give advice. I like the idea of getting to know someone and having them get to know my cruising needs/desires.

I got a few recommended names from a cruise group on another social media site.

  5. I had a Segway tour booked for my February cruise in St. Maartan-got an email from carnival saying it is no lorger available and will be refunded in 5-7 days. Since we purchased with Carnival gift card they told us that's how it would be refunded and we should receive a card in the mail in a couple weeks. That was August 5-still waiting☹

This will make me rethink booking with a GC. Thanks!

  6. I understand ships are at times required to miss Grand Cayman due to weather conditions making it unsafe for tendering. If a Carnival booked excursion is cancelled for that reason will it be refunded and if so, how? I plan on booking this particular excursion prior to boarding. Would a refund be issued as an OBC or would it be credited back to the card it was purchased with? In this case it might actually be purchased with a Carnival gift card.
