  1. My brother had it in September.  He had to isolate for 5 days.  The medical center called everyday to check on him.  They gave them free room service and premium wifi.  They also gave a total refund on excursions and did not charge him for his medical appointment.  They did charge his wife for her test, which was negative.  Also, to our surprise, they called after the cruise and issued him a refund to their credit card for the 5 days he was isolated.  I felt they were Very well taken care of!  Needless to say, he was thrilled he had booked a balcony!

What worked for me ( best I think if both devices are Samsung, although other android pones may work)...

I put the app on my phone and then moved it to my tablet using the Samsung Smartswitch app. It appears to work as well on the tablet as it does on the phone, if that means much😅.

If it doesn't work, the worst is you have lost a little bit of time.

Yes, that's exactly what I did. It works great!  I was so relieved.

    Good luck

You can request all this, all that, two and two, etc. Whatever is consumed is replaced once daily. So ----- four little bottles a day tops.

Thank you!  I appreciate you answering my question.  Obviously, I didn't take the time to research first.

  4. Thank you Curler Rob and janetcbl!  I have checked those websites.  I believe that they are self-guided.  I think we are leaning towards a guided tour.  We're thinking it would be less stressful than trying to find the right public transportation.  Thank you for the advice that the Viking tour does not include the cruise.  We really want to see and experience the most possible.

Your picture is gorgeous!  We're so excited!

    Thank you again!

  5. We are cruising on Jupiter on May 22-29 Viking Fjords with a post 2 day extension in Bergen.  We would appreciate advice on either booking the Norway in a Nutshell during our Viking cruise, or book it during our extension?  I've been looking at Viator and it will be about $800 p/p.  I don't have a clue what Viking charges.  We book our excursions in October.

    Thank you in advance!

You would most likely have to cancel then rebook. You could lose perks from the original booking, and cruise and air fare may have increased since your original booking. You also will most likely not be able to keep your original cabin. Having said all that, I have rebooked a couple of times and did save money. Just be sure to do all the math.

Thank you so much for this info.  I believe the cabin category is all sold out.  We know we're going to have a great time without any perks!

  7. I am really appreciating this thread.  We have booked our first Viking River and Ocean for May 2023.  We booked through a Viking agent and got zero perks.  Since we have had to pay our final payment already, if a promo code comes up, will we be able to take advantage of it?  We would love to have gratuities, SSP, OBC, anything.  This will be our first cruise without any onboard credit.

    Thank you for any info!

  8. We both tested negative at FLL airport on April 1st (not joking).  Then, on April 2nd we did the health questionnaire.  My husband was honest and put "yes" for nasal congestion.  He suffers from chronic spring allergies and mowed the grass before we left.  He truly felt it was just his allergies because he had no other symptoms.  On April 3rd at the terminal, we were also pulled from the Retreat lounge (I told them we weren't staying in a retreat, but she wanted us there. ) We were then escorted to a medical station and he asked more questions, took his temperature, etc... and said he had to take a PCR test.  Within 10 minutes, they had him take another one and they were both positive!  We were taken outside and waited for 2.5 hours to get our luggage.  We were shocked, but so thankful we didn't expose others.  We still haven't gotten the official lab results yet.  They say they are pending!  The Celebrity personnel were very nice and she gave us a letter for a complete refund.  The cruise didn't get over until April 15th.

We are flying in on American.  Do you know if American is in terminal 3?  This testing just makes me crazy.

We flew in on United to Terminal 1, and then walked to Terminal 3.   It was only about 8-10 minutes.  Testing was quite easy!  Best of Luck!

We just did it today. Depending how fast you walk, I'd say 15-20 minutes of actual walking unless you walk slowly. Our flight was delayed and we got there at least 20 minutes late. They couldn't care less. It was not crowded at all this time, and we got our negative test results when we were in the Uber on the way to our hotel!

Thank you!  We actually  did it yesterday. Our flight was very late also. They were great and very helpful. We got our results quickly too!  However, I did call them and got an email that has all the info on one page. Are you going to print yours out?

Yes, we were tested there in December.  We made an appointment.  You need to enter FLL as both your departure and arrival destinations.  It was very easy and we got our results within the hour.  It may be busier now, but that was our experience at the time.  Because of the increase in cruisers, I would recommend the appointment in case they get too busy to accept more walk-ins.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I do want to make a reservation, but just not sure how long it will take to get there after we land. We will be landing at terminal 1, get luggage, then walk to terminal 3. Do you recall about how long it took you?  I'm feeling better knowing about your experience. Thanks again!

  12. I just realized that on our April 2022 Southern Caribbean cruise that our bed is by the balcony.  This is our first time with a bump cabin 9239 on Equinox, and I was excited to get it and didn't think about the bed location.  We have never had one by the balcony before.  Just curious on any thoughts about pros or cons regarding bed by the balcony.

    Thank you

  13. Linda,

I really enjoyed your pictures of the vow renewal.  You looked amazing!  It was a highlight for us.  And, it was extra special to receive the hard copies of both messages.  Extra special!!!When we go back, we're going to try and get the Marina Dinner.  Sounds magical.  Hope you are doing well with the beginning of winter.  We've already had freezing temps.
