  1. I will be on wonder in April. 4 rooms 9 people.

we purchased the unlimited dining package.

can one person who gets on the ship first make our reservations if they have our room numbers?

also, which restaurants would you recommend?

what shows would you recommend? I’m reading some posts and they have mixed reviews.

    Hi Marie,

We got off the Equinox in July. DH tested positive that evening. It got me 3 days later. We decided not to go ahead with our early Aug cruise. Our next one is in October and I do not know what I would do different. We are fine now. I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you. Starting to feel better. Just tired. I really thought we were doing the right things but it got us anyway. But it was so good to be back cruising. Our last cruise was September 2019. We had 4 cancelled due to covid.

I enjoyed our trip and are looking foward to the one in September.

If you were just positive- there is no reason to do anything different, or wear a mask, or not go.  You will be the safest you've been- data shows its still the current B.A.5 variant- and no current signs of a major change.  Natural immunity is a real thing- enjoy it!

I was trying to research how long the antibodies will be in a persons system with this strain. Couldn’t find anything.

I am going. But was wondering if anybody did anything different.

  4. We also drove to the port. We quarantined before we tested. We did stop for gas. But wore masks when we had to use the restroom.

I started getting symptoms the day we got off. I had a backache but thought that it was from carrying our luggage off the ship. We self disembarked.

while driving home I looked on the group page on Facebook for our sailing and people had posted that they were in quarantine on the ship since Friday. Some people who got off the ship immediately drove to a cvs after getting off the ship. They had tested positive. When I walked in the door I tested and was negative.

the next day I had chills and again tested negative. The next day I tested positive. There were a lot of people in our group that tested positive after we got home.

so I know I was negative before we left because we quarantined. And I was fine until the day we got off. Our cruise was an 8 night.

I am vaccinated and boosted. Thought I was doing everything right.

I think I will be a little more cautious. Like wear a mask when it’s crowded. Try to take the stairs if I can. Wear a mask in the casino. Maybe gloves if playing a machine.

this was my first time getting it. My symptoms were more like a head cold/ allergies. But I was very tired. Still am. Just finally tested negative Saturday.

  5. I was on the july 17th mariner cruise on mariner. I came home and a few days later tested positive.

I have another cruise september 3rd.

I was thinking was there anything I would’ve done differently.

maybe worn a mask in the elevators.
maybe gloves and mask in the casino.

If anybody recently got off a cruise and tested positive and have another cruise coming up or already cruised again will you or did you do anything different the next time?

  6. I will be driving to Florida on Friday to board mariner on Saturday.

I’m not new to cruising but new to the procedure of checking in with scheduled times and procedures.

there will be 6 adults and a child.
    taking separate cars.

I know the family with the child will have to be tested. So do they arrive earlier then their scheduled time? . Do they test before you drop the luggage off? How long does it take to get results?

For the other 2 couples how early should we arrive?  How long did it take you to get to the area to drop the luggage off?

want to make sure we have enough time to drop luggage park the cars and be on time for our check in.

i read today that someone said it took them an hour to get into the terminal.

just trying to figure out how to do this. We all have the same check in time. 11:30

can anyone who has done this give me some information?

    thank you!

  7. I will be boarding mariner July 9 at port canaveral.

can someone explain what the procedure is for when we get there.

we will be driving. Do we drop off the luggage first then park? Or does one of us stay with the luggage while the other person parks?  From there do we go to our check in time line?

we have an 11:30 check in and are driving in from jacksonville. Trying to figure out what time to leave to be on time.

    thank you

  8. I was able to input my mine and my husbands names, address and passport info.

then it said continue and said we aren’t ready for you yet. So I wasn’t able to input vaccination info.

when I click on my cruise it says preview boarding pass. But I doubt I can because I didn’t finish.

when will I be able to finish?

  9. It’s very disheartening to keep reading about all these positive cases during and after the cruise.

I think the cruise lines should’ve kept the capacity down especially with staff shortage.  and I hate to say it keep the mask policy.

I am supposed to be cruising in July, but I’m starting to think maybe I’ll reschedule.

I don’t think I could handle quarantine. It’s just not worth it to go at this point.

I had 5 cruises cancelled over the past few years. This would be my first cruise back.

  10. I am booked on mariner July 9 to aruba, Bonaire & curacao. Haven’t received any notification that we aren’t going to Bonaire.

but I did look at the cdc’s website and aruba, Bonaire & curacao are at a level 3 for covid cases.

I wonder what they could possibly do if these places won’t let us dock there.

Supposedly someone on another group said they spoke to someone at royal and they confirmed the change from April 30 thru august.  I wonder if my whole itinerary will be changed now.

    Has anybody confirmed this?

I guess I will call them tomorrow morning.

  11. I am booked on mariner for a southern caribbean cruise. As of right now, are they accepting cruise ships?

I know it’s too early to know what’s going to happen. But what if these islands aren’t accepting us due to covid numbers on board at the time. Do we get sea days? Or will we go somewhere else.

I tried to look up what the requirements were. It just says if covid numbers are high they can deny us. It says it for all the islands we are stopping at.

  12. Is cruise with confidence still an option?

i have an 8 night cruise in May. They know they aren’t going to be sailing. My final payment is due February 21st.

I looked into lift & shift, that won’t work for us. I don’t want to cruise on the explorer. I heard it really needs upgrades. So that is out. That seems to be our only option.

Already have an fcc applied to the cruise in May. Have another cruise in August. 7 night. I’m hoping things will be better. I have a deposit on that one. Also, have one booked for October. Paid the taxes on that one and am supposed to apply an fcc that I have.

The issue I have is I keep applying fcc’s. The cruises keep getting cancelled. Don’t want to lay anymore money out. Don’t want anymore

Will royal give me a refund under cruise with confidence if i used an fcc? I also have onboard credit from switching my onboard credit over plus the extra 25%. What will happen with that?
