  1. Signed up last week for Dream cruise in less than 45 days. SO EXCITED ! Never been on Carnival.

Since we will spend a few days before in Galveston, at place where I can do laundry, my question is:

Can I bring the remaining laundry detergent pods from little bag/bucket on board to do laundry with? and share with others? The smaller bags of pods usually gives 10-20.

Or will they not allow them to be packed in bags?

also- is Dream a ship that uses Quarters?

Thanks- Aint been away for over 3 years and just counting the days......

  2. I found a thread dated 2015 regarding the luggage tags/ holders. Are they still the same? Just put those on day of embarkation? no plastic holders needed?

Our cruise includes Cabo and Ensenada. if any of you have been to those ports, how was the sightseeing?

also, are there carts /stores near the terminal that sell those bottled soft drinks made with sugar? I just want to have one iced cold one if possible before re-boarding. I am not counting on the ship having Dr. Pepper.

next question. Tiana's place- do YOU like it? I love that movie. I thought the menu looked great. any suggestions?

I see that every night you can get a steak, chicken or fish. Is a dinner salad possible at all the restaurants?

If we do a spa time, should we do it on a port day? or late afternoon?

last question: are the laundry facilities free? DLR is credit card , and I think it was still coins/bills in DW.

I am so looking forward to this cruise. Hubby was thrilled mickey treats and ice cream would be available.

Thank you for any input. :):):):):):):)

  3. If the ordinary ship stuffit is anything like what is served elsewhere, the coffee is brewed and put in those containers.....and it sits......and no, I dont like it either. Illy is very good, and I think it will be a good try for me. I am a coffee snob, and the Disney resort stuff that was all they had years was a very touchy subject for me. Thank goodness they have coffee carts from vendors outside the parks, and then there is also the Starbucker brand in the parks.

  4. these threads make me laugh - people like what they like and don't like what they don't and that can the same thing to two different people. I do not want a floating city that takes 1/2 to walk from one end to the other - I am 60 I am not old - but I don't want a loud 20/30 something 'partying' ship. Mock me for that if you like -- I hope HAL doesn't get forced into following the crowd -- some of us don't like the crowd we like the cruise.

    I second this!

  5. I awoke here on the middle of the night and thought I would read thru the threads. Well, I just read quite a few comments from folks who basically want a head on a plate for their 'tragic loss' of a cruise port. I have no issues, apparently. Remind me to sue with our Alaska Cruise as the weather might not be at its best.
