  1. Looking at the setup, it definitely seems as though they have the option of putting mini fridges in the side boards. As of June 30th they weren't installed, however we were told they were also not done with all of the renovations.

  2. Not sure what sideboards are? I'm assuming you are talking about the wood structure? Here is a picture of the inside. Nothing special. There were outlets in every cabana though, you can see them in the second picture they are raised on black pillar. d54f113e8a3d46d8c113a938a4425109.jpgbbdbf651afdfa5b6e60a5b0bbf147d59.jpg

  3. We rented the family cabana, and was really shocked on how huge it was. We really enjoyed it! We had breakfast in it most mornings and the ability to order anything from the cabana boys was a real treat. Here are a few pics of the family cabana. We rented it for the entirety of the cruise.

  4. Going on our first Mediterranean cruise and I see that several itineraries overlap each other. For example we embark in Barcelona, but for some that is just a port day. My question is do the lifeboat drills still happen around 5pm? What is the currency or prices quoted in gift shops on the ship, Euros?

  5. Me and my wife are mid 30's and enjoy HAL for this reason. We never have to "find" a spot at the bar. Nobody tries to strike up an empty conversation. We are there to relax and just enjoy each other's company. We enjoy having the ship mostly to ourselves after a certain hour. The level of service is higher than other lines than we have been on. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.

  6. Here are the changes from another thread: Adding Casino Bar and Billboard Onboard in place of Piano Bar and Sports Bar. Replacing Northern Lights with Gallery Bar. Transforming Explorers Lounge into Lincoln Center Stage. Adding 18 balcony staterooms and 7 inside staterooms to deck 10 forward. Adding Retreat with Cabannas to Deck 11.

  7. Thanks everyone. The video was shot with a DJI Mavic Pro. It's very compact and fits into a small camera bag. I carried it onboard and let security know what it was. I was just told no flying from the ship, but no issues on port. It's really easy to fly and I'm new to flying. I highly recommend the Mavic for any beginners.

  8. I was in St. Maarten last week and had no issues flying on the Dutch side, I did not try on the French side. Once I get done with the footage I will post it. Here is some drone footage I shot from Half Moon Cay, Holland America private island.

  9. We were in Half Moon Cay last week and had perfect weather, so I decided to take my drone out and fly around the beach. I flew it out to the Nieuw Amsterdam ship as well. The new lobster shack is shown right around the 10 minute mark. Enjoy!
