  1. One thing is for sure, none of them can hope to hold a candle to the greats that came before them.
  2. It's news to me that Colbert is a comedian.
  3. Yes. Well to be more specific, the government charges you tax. Carnival is just required to collect it.
  4. Carnivals website has an exhaustive list of prohibited items on their website.
  5. It's been more than that in my experience but never a majority or even close to it, maybe a third. Far more children than adults as you can imagine.
  6. As of TODAY, yes. Who knows when that will change. https://www.carnival.com/vifp
  7. That's up to you, you're an adult. I wouldn't.
  8. “Will be automatically applied to the first transaction once onboard” https://www.carnival.com/vifp
  9. Similar thing happened on a cruise I was on Sunshine about 2 years ago. I noticed all the water in my shower was on one side, (I knew I wasn't that drunk! LOL) and we were leaning hard. Turns out same situation - medical emergency, we had to turn around to drop off a passenger. Wife and I have cruised a lot, but that was a first for us. Several crew we talked to acted like it was nothing special, happens all the time...
  10. There are so many things that are more important for a Carnival cruise than what other people are wearing. That's like page 10 in the list of things Carnival needs to spend their energy enforcing in my view.
  11. I for one am thankful that Carnival is doing their part in strengthening my immune system by exposing me to dangerous mold. Just enough to sting, not enough to maim! That's the Carnival way. If the rest of you would stop worrying about things like respiratory arrest (that happens on every cruise line by the way! Not just Carnival!) then you'd be able to enjoy your cruise on Carnival! As I always say - at least I don't have to cook and clean! Although in this case perhaps we should be cleaning! But hey, any day in the infirmary on a Carnival ship is better than a day in the office!
  12. There is no dress code on Carnival in practice. Hasn't been for years. Wear whatever you want.
  13. On my last one I got beach towels, a thing of cookies from the fun shops, a nice lanyard, and beach bags. Some other stuff too that I'm not remembering right now. Nothing amazing.
  14. go back and read the second sentence of post #5 again.
  15. Wow great job with the enhanced cleaning procedures post-COVID, Carnival!
  16. Carnival will gladly sell you a tumbler. But one is not included in the package.
  17. Interesting. I hope they're not going to change this. Although it has never made sense to me that you pay a 3% fee when you draw funds out for table games, but not for slots. Obviously I'd prefer to never have to pay a fee (I typically bring cash with me anyway).
  18. When did this change? I've been able to draw funds off of my slot player bank every cruise for years and years, but I haven't cruised in a year so it's possible it's changed recently.
  19. You can draw funds off your player account at the tables for no fee.
  20. Carnival blocks WiFi calling.
  21. I have heard of people getting a very short extension like 24-36 hours. Never hurts to ask. But yes, you'll need to call the day it's due.
  22. The only problem I have with the airline cards like that is I don't like being tied to one airline. I don't live near a "big" airport so I can't choose one airline for all my travel. I prefer other cards with just cash back rewards. Each to their own, whatever works for you!
  23. I was not being snarky, at least not towards you. Most branded cards aren't great.
  24. It's a junk card anyway, as soon as you get the sign up bonus close it.
  25. If you leave Princess Cays property then you can probably get a drink at 18. But on the port property, it's 21 just like the ship.
