Tried to put photos I found but no go.

We did our first TA in 2014 from Barcelona to FLL. We'd do it again in a second. The sea days (Roughly 9 days to cross) were the most relaxing we've had, and the people we met on board made it worth while. I'd rather spend the $475 for a 1 way plane ticket overseas followed by a 15 day vacation back, instead of a short trip near the US any day of the year.
A large PRO to our trip was that the drink package was included, so it felt like an All Inclusive cruise at that point. I'd imagine if you're a big drinker, 2 weeks at sea could add up.
You can visit ports and islands near the US and Caribbean any day of the year, I say go for the Transatlantic if you have the chance. Once in a lifetime opportunity. PS - We booked another TA in 2017 on the Independence :D.
-
Currently have GS booked in November 2016 for a 7nt Eastern Caribbean. Works out to be approximately $214pp, taxes included, for the Grand Suite. (Plus $300 onboard credit due to booking onboard.)
-
We did snag a decent price on a GS for Independence out of SouthHampton, but it's all Caribbean based ports on the second half of the voyage. Nothing too impressive about the 2017 TA Ports of Call.

How was disembarking? Do you recall the times people were able to get off... trying to swing a crazy 9:30 Miami departure after a Majesty cruise soon.

I too just got off the Vision this Saturday and agree 110% with the OP. The captain was always telling a joke during the announcements to get a laugh out of you, talking to you while out and about, or participating in the Centrum events. I've never in all my cruises seen a Captain singing like that, I believe he Sang Bon Jovi "It's My Life" and "Mustang Sally." He was actually better than the singer we had entertaining us earlier in the cruise (Donovan.)
Thanks Captain, you set a benchmark not many will reach!
-
Thanks for the quick replies! Captain just came over finally saying we would be diverted to Nassau. I was only concerned because both our ship and the Majesty were real close to each other seemingly not moving. Plus, I had just come off the Adventure of the Seas a few weeks back when the entire itinerary was changed due to a hurricane, he kept us updated by the minute, so I was expecting that and had gotten concerned.
Same exact issue arose on our Grandeur cruise 2 years ago. Rough seas, very rough. We bypassed Coco Cay after staring at it through the window and proceeded to Nassau. We docked at Nassau the rest of the day for an overnight stay... which worked out nicely. (If you like Nassau!)

While I don't know if this would fall under any criminal statutes, even if it did, no LE agency is going to mess with it. At most, there could be some sort of civil litigation possible, but even that would be a hassle. Let the divorce atty know and go from there. Lesson learned, and all ended well thankfully.
I would strongly disagree. I spent half of my career in Digital Investigations, Computer Forensics, and Cyber Crimes. I can tell you that at least in my state, all computer crimes fall under the classification of Felony be it: Unlawful Access of a Computer or Electronic Device, Etc.
That being said, the moment you return from vacation (If you choose to read this) I would highly, highly, suggest you contact the local police agency and start the process with a report. If they have the man power and the training for this, it would take but an hour to process the paperwork necessary to continue an investigation. After receiving search warrants for your Email account access logs, followed by a search warrant on the subscriber of the IP address that accessed your account (That they'll surely find if you're correct) you'll then see proof on paper that it was illegally accessed. As previous posters and another LEO stated, this is exactly what we're here for. Don't wait to file this, there is no guarantee on how long they hold these access logs.

FYI, no need to quote an entire message that is very long, it's a waste of bandwidth and most of us already read the original post. 👌

Not all booked Suites will have the premium drink package. Only those that have booked with that promo, or who have had their reservation changed to include this promo.
There are probably quite a lot of passengers that have previously booked a cruise before this promo, and do not read Cruise Critic, and won't know about it.
My apologies if this was covered already, but I didn't go through all 17 pages. Seeing this thread, I contacted Celebrity.. as I booked a TransAtlantic for Oct. 2016 way back in May 2015. I asked about this offer since I'm in a Sky Suite, and they stated I would have access to Michael's, but none of the 3 offers including Drinks, Tips, nor Internet applied to the TransAtlantic or Repositioning cruises. Sad... :(

I'll be on Vision in 3 weeks in JS 8552. Hoping not to hear what you stated but none the less, it's vacation, I'll survive! :D

Anyone ever stayed in 9308?
I was across from it in 9614, on the Hump, about 6 years ago.. if that helps. :)
-
I was on the Grandeur in 2013 and had a problem in the cabin a few days into the cruise. Guest relations advised they too were booked solid.. which was surprising, because you wouldn't have known it. I don't think you have anything to worry about other than chair hogs on the pool deck. :D

I'm sure our TransAtlantic pricing from November won't help, but it was a good deal with our C&A Discount for 14 days: $249 unlimited. That being said, the internet speed was actually pretty great. Two of us in the room using wifi never had any issues, and I uploaded a good amount of photos from the middle of the Atlantic.

We are fresh off the 11/13 Liberty. No Freestyle machines yet. The cruise director was still the Aerowsmith guy and I thought he was hilarious.
Aerowsmith is a nice enough guy, however he's not the 'In your face and hopping around' kind of CD. Maybe it was because we were on a relaxing Transatlantic two weeks ago but he basically just read the cruise compass to you every day, no real effort to get people involved. No complaints otherwise however.
As already stated, back on Nov. 8th and there were no freestyle machines.

I just discovered the Frozen Wildberry Lava Flow on our cruise this past October - YUM!... which is only second place to the Frozen Mango Tango. FAVORITE DRINK EVER!
Agreed... I'm tied for first place between Wildberry Lava Flow & CocoLoco (Labadoozee)

This was from our Allure cruise in October
Just off Liberty on Saturday and this is the same cup we had, one more white and a 2nd was more blue colored. Nice cups though.
-
Thanks Tim. SIL just pointed out that there is a Starbucks on Liberty so that renders the previous question moot. And I'll just bet that Starbucks is NOT included on any package. ;)
I was told Starbucks was on there too lol, but I can tell you this.. after being on there for 2 weeks up until Saturday, unless I totally was lost on another ship, there is no Starbucks. No Starbucks cups, no logos, no coffee smuggled in from Starbucks, flat out saw no Starbucks . The Cafe Promenade will make your espressos, machiattos, etc. and I can recommend espresso with milk. The regular coffee seems a lot more weak to me on this cruise than past cruises (Although mixing a small amount of the nestle hot chocolate mix into the coffee works wonders!)
-
Having just returned from a two week TA using the Premium package I can personally attest that it includes all the liquor you desire. The only thing the ultimate would change is the specialty coffee and fresh oj. Premium is the way to go!
-
Just off Liberty yesterday. Regular coffee is free (Seattle's beast) but espresso was $2.50 for a medium, $3.00 large, and a Caramel Machiatto was $5.95ish. Those are what I remember!
-
Thanks for taking us with you! BTW… LOVED the Incredibles costumes!
LOL Ty. Got lazy the past week during sea days but have stories to tell. I'll say custums was pretty swamped so even tho our tag 22 was due off at 9, we left at 11!
-
Currently still onboard Liberty with half the guests in promenade. Customs causing delays so if you're heading to port, take your time. Mass lines outside for those of us still going thru customs.

Is David Curtis playing in the Schooner bar? If he is I hope you enjoy his shows as much as we did in June.
Haven't seen his name on the list unfortunately.

Sorry did not want to start the flame throwing
LMAO how dare you not purchase the chest strap for it so you can use two cameras at once :p
BTW Great review and I hope you post some more videos when you are back on land and have better internet !!
Thanks, definitely have a lot of video so with some luck, I'll piece it together quickly for a nice vacation review.
