  1. Hi all It was actually my wife with the passport expiring in 5.5 months. Happy to say we got on ship today with no issues at all! Was worried all weekend, but now time to relax with a drink!
  2. Thank you for the tip…I called the embassy and they said that if on cruise and staying less than 24 hours, then no issues with a passport expiring in 5 and a half months. What a relief!
  3. Actually both....when we entered passport info, looks liek it noticed the date and gave a message saying "Strongly recommenced", but elsewhere on their website, it said "The passport must be valid for six months after the day your cruise ends. ". Hoping it said Strongly Recommended as it noticed it is Canadian. Ports are Mexico, which says it doesn't have 6 month rule and Honduras, which says it does.
  4. We are leaving tomorrow to sail out of a US port for a 7 day cruise. Was doing the online check in process on the cruise line website and noticed it said it's strongly recommended that passport must be valid 6 months after cruise. We have one person in our group whose passport expires about 2 weeks short of six months. When we booked trip and airfares, we checked the US Customs and Border Protection agency's website and confirmed Canadian passports are good until expiry, no 6 month rule. Never occurred to us that a cruise line could be more stringent. Has anyone been in this situation? Can this cause problems? Or are we fretting over nothing?
  5. We have 7 people, in 4 adjoining but not connecting staterooms on the Harmony leaving this Sunday. Within those 4 rooms, does anyone know if we are able to change who is staying in what room this close to the sailing? Do not want to change roommate pairings, just what room they are in with another in our group. Also, it is possible to make a request to unlock the balcony dividers between the 4 rooms in advance so they are done by the time we board or shortly thereafter? If so, how do we go about that? Last cruise, we asked once on board and it took over a day for them to get around to it. TIA
  6. Have a group of 7 disembarking Harmony of the Seas on Easter Sunday, flight is 2pm from IAH. Was just planning on Uber-ing it as it was a easy and economical option from other cruises in Florida. However, I saw a few social media threads saying most local ground transportation companies will be closed on Easter Sunday and Ubers maybe hard to get and/or outrageously priced (someone mentioned 400%). Add to that, reserving an Uber ahead of time does not guarantee the price won't change or a driver will even pick up the ride. Would anyone have any insight on this or be able to recommend any other options that that are not closed or booked up on Easter?
