Having been to Naples several times and been to Amalfi, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri we thought we would go to Procida on our next visit to Naples, in June. Although I’m sure we took the hydrofoil to Capri and it was okay, from what I’ve read the hydrofoil to Procida can be a rough crossing. One of our party would definitely feel ill if this was the case and we thought we might try the car ferry instead. Has anyone done this crossing on the car ferry and if so can you walk to the port it leaves from and was the journey okay. And other info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Staying in Venice pre-cruise, will be staying in hotel near Piazzale Roma, but then travelling by train to Trieste cruise port. Can anyone advise the best/easiest way to get from Piazzale Roma to Santa Lucia train station with luggage. thanks.

Hi, looking for some advise. Will be travelling from Treviso airport to Venice (think easiest way is bus to Tronchetto). Cruise leaving from Trieste. We have 2 nights pre cruise and one night post cruise. Our thoughts are stay one night in Venice and travelling to Trieste by train, then stay one night in Trieste before cruise. On return travel back to Venice for overnight before flight next afternoon. Does anyone have any tips or advise and also hotel recommendations. Initially thinking 1st night either near train station or getting people mover to Piazzale Roma, to limit having to drag suitcases around. We have never been to Venice before so any help appreciated.
