  1. I called NCL and asked the same question regarding my bid. I was told there may be reserved inventory - I hope so, but if there is a very limited opportunity I am not sure my bid was strong enough to beat out many others.

Mine wasn't either. Sigh. I mean I'm ok regardless. It's still letting me modify my bid though. which is odd! All I can pick from ever was haven.... so why! Lol

  2. We too are a family of four, we haven't been on Breakaway but will be soon. We've done Getaway though which is pretty much identical.

My two ten year olds LOVE splash. They were upset when we would take them out. As others have said, I'd make the older try it. I'm sure in many ways it sounds lame but there will be other kids there thinking the same thing. It's a hangout spot.

We did do pay for shows, we did Illusinarium and Teppanyaki on the Getaway and we have booked out Cirque and Teppanyaki again on this one. As well this time we have Moderno for Hubs & I. He's turning 40 on the ship and a few days before sailing is our 20 year anniversary. That total is $520 Canadian funds. It's probably within your budget if you wanted to do something extra.

  3. Out of curiosity, mainly because it forces us to input it- did you not have to enter a passport # when you booked your trip? Perhaps it's because we are currently in Canada- that we had to. We never cruised when my husband held green card status in the US. We didn't travel outside the US for many years then (6) and we had to file 2x (we moved and they did not get update of address as they moved our file at same time to another location so his first application was considered abandoned since he missed his interview lol). Even after all was said and done we never did travel to anywhere but within North America- til we cruised last year and again that was as Canadians x3 and myself who was not yet naturalized.

So i guess, I'm wondering if US bookings don't require a passport while booking?

  4. There also is no rock wall on the Escape where there is on the Breakaway/Getaway. This ended up being the deal breaker for us when rebooking, we've been on Getaway and while Breakaway is practically it's twin with different colours, my daughter freaked out on the ropes and we wanted to ensure she had a choice.

Snow Room on Escape VS Ice Bar on Breakaway/Getaway.

Escape has two planks on the ropes course Breakaway & Getawa only one.

I don't know if the Escape has the Spider Mountain and Bounce ? but that might be a difference too.

Entertainment and dining as PP mentioned.

  5. Doesn't that incur a 3% fee?

It does, and I didn't see the pp talk about that either, sorry.

For us, it was well worth it to not have to deal with international currency issues.

  6. Got ya! Sounds really cool. (pardon the pun. [emoji41])

We did it on the getaway and we enjoyed it, we were the only ones though in there. The bartender didn't stick to the 2 drinks, so like JC said, your paying for the experience.

  7. that is when they had it on our BA sailing last month. It was wonderful, fun and I would do it again in a second. Enjoy it!!!!! We were on the same itinerary you are referring to

Bugger - I can't really think the kids would goto this? They are only 10.... thoughts?

  8. :confused:hi all, doing research for our upcoming cruise and it appears that WLM is only on the day before disembarkation and it is also during at time there is no splash academy open.

We are sailing the breakaway... the dailies I have found show it on that last full day at 12:30.

Anyone have info/conflicting info to share?

Wanted to do this with hubby and I could care less which day- it's the lack of SA that stinks.

    Thanks!
