Just something one needs to be aware of if they select a 3 or 4 person room for 2 people, when 2 person capacity rooms are available in the class.
Exactly, especially when Princess continues to advertise 3rd and 4th person are free!

How can u tell if your reservation has been ticketed.
I booked our January 2025 Panama Canal tickets thru EZ air (Ft. Lauderdale/return from San Francisco) and flights are on Delta and chose seats.
I hope they have not been ticketed. I specifically didn’t book direct with Delta in case we want to cancel trip, either by choice or medical.

@sharon_peiYou didn’t say what cruise line u are sailing on.
If it’s Princess you can make your dining reservations ahead of time on the Princess app. I’m sailing in May and made my dining reservations several months ago.
-
Our upcoming May cruise will be first time being Elite.
When u call room service to have items swapped, do u just tell them what u want to swap and for what and put those items out for them. Especially if you’re not there when they come.
I don’t drink any alcohol and DH doesn’t drink beer.
Thanks.

You do it on the App. Select profile. Click on the pencil in the right hand corner to edit. It will ask you to upload a photo

This is a first for me: I entered our independent flight information into my Cruise Personalizer and received the following information from Princess: "This flight departs too early to reliably make your fight after arrival.: How can that be, our flight departs 4 hours AFTER we are scheduled to disembark the ship -- we are not using transfers and we will be self-disembarking. We have flown many times out of YVR and never had a problem.
How early is your flight?
I haven’t provided our independent flight information for YVR yet, but we have a 11:40 am flight from YVR. We plan to self disembark. I guess I will probably get the same warning.

I believe the Sapphire was in dry dock before returning to service in Sept 2022, so would not be scheduled for about another 3 years? I saw another post Sapphire had a 14 day dry dock in April 2023?
Do they do much interior refurb during drydock? The Princess website says last "refurbishment" was in March 2018.
-
Has anyone seen when the Sapphire is scheduled for a refurb.
The website says last one was done in March 2018. That’s almost 6 years ago.

What do you mean by northbound. I mostly see it referred to as either east or westbound. I too am looking to do the full transit on the Coral.

Is there a way to block a member’s comments. There are a handful of people who just have to reply to almost every thread mostly with some pithy comment that is really not helpful at all. Guess they have nothing else to do and like to see their number count go up.

I’ve used a specific small TA for a couple of cruises. I’m lukewarm about them.
If I book with another agency is there any way my previous TA can see that I’ve booked with someone else.

You should be fine. The form (attached above) states that flights after 11am qualify. It is a wonderful program (can’t emphasize that enough).
Thanks again. I hadn’t read the form thoroughly.

Thanks for checking. I was looking for the sheet with the various color group times and times for self disembark.
Im not sure if they would allow us to sign up for the direct to airport with an 11:40 am departure.
Just got off a 2 week Caribbean cruise and caught a cough/cold midway through the second week. It was very miserable flying home from Ft. Lauderdale. I wore a mask and kept telling people it wasn’t COVID, but you do get stares. Can’t imagine flying home from Vancouver not feeling well.
-
We are doing the same 14 day on the Sapphire in May.
I was wondering if you kept the debarkation times sheet and if so could you post it.
Im still trying to book our flights and am trying to avoid having to take a red eye. It’s hard getting to Cincinnati from Vancouver.
There is an American option that departs Vancouver at 11:40 am. When I check EZAir it defaults to flights after 12:00 noon. The only other large ship at Canada Place will be the Koningsdam.
Do you think this is doable if we self disembark?
Thank you. I’ve picked up many tips from your blog which will be helpful.

We have done 11:30 AM flights from YVR multiple times with no issues at all, always with multiple ships disembarking. We do the self walk off with our luggage and either Uber or take the skytrain. We have never once felt like we cut it uncomfortably close.
Thank you

Well.. we get to Vancouver at 11:00PM on Friday night and they show “Operational Overnight” and disembarkation at 6:00AM Saturday morning.
Ah, that’s the difference. Thanks for clarifying.

I have a 11:40AM flight booked in May from Vancouver. We got a quote on Princess EZ Air and the flight that they had us on was a 10:30AM flight so I felt better about booking the 11:40AM flight.
What time are you scheduled to get back to Vancouver. Ours shows 7:30
When I look at EZ air for the day we get back it defaults to anytime after 12:00 noon.
-
Opinions if it is cutting it too close for a 11:40 am flight from Vancouver airport.
We are supposed to dock at 7:30 on the Sapphire Princess. The only large ship the same day is Holland America Koningsdam.
When trying to look at flights thru Princess the parameters are after 12:00 noon.
Living in the Midwest it is hard to find flights that get home the same day albeit late. Only other alternative is leaving late afternoon/night and flying overnight which we are trying to avoid. We really don’t want to spend the day/night in Vancouver since we will be there several days before the cruise.

Same with the 'per cruise' perks from the package, right?
We don’t buy any packages, but I believe so, but will let others answer. I’ve read that if you are Elite you will get a second setup at the beginning of the second week. We just made Elite, so we will see.

What is the app called on the Apple App Store

Also if you are trying to get to Elite it will count as 2 cruises instead of 1, if you are doing the 2 -7 days B2B.
Wrong. It is 2 cruise credits. I just did it in a 14 day Caribbean cruise which could also be booked as 2 7-day cruises. Same for my upcoming 14 day in Alaska. If it can only be booked as a true 14 day cruise, it is 1 cruise credit.

We did the same thing and booked as a 14 day. The price was a little less at the time and we earn $50 more in shareholder OBC. We don’t buy a package so the number of free specialty dining doesn’t matter. We will still get our 2 Elite mini bar setups. Also get 2 cruise credits.
You will see less cabin availability when looking at the 14 day cruise even though the same cabin may be available on both individual legs but doesn’t show on the 14 day.
