I quit doing the premiers and Ultras due to the crowds in the casino, it just didn't seem as fun when I could never play the machines I wanted unless it was 6am

We will NEVER do Premiers or Ultras again. The elites are also tough but we always manage to get a seat and the machines are not as tough.

Damn, this is disappointing to hear. We just booked a Premier offer for the first time and are sailing in November. I had read good things and I guess my expectations are somewhat high. The good thing is that since it is a first time with a Premier offer I don't have a comparison and this will be setting the bar.

Be prepared-Premier cruises are extremely crowded.  It will not be easy getting a machine or seat at the tables.

    Enjoy!

Didnt any casino offer ( including Premier) include the Perk of waving the 3% for getting cash at the tables?  Has that changed?

Only the premier, ultra, elite and echo waives the 3% fee.  We always sail on casino offers but if they are not one of the above, you pay the 3%.

Pirate4me2: Love these Live Reports on CC and yours is five-star worthy!

My wife loves those Nespresso machines also and now wants to replace our usual machine with one. I think she's looking forward to our SeaShore cruise on 10/27 in the YC so she can use it some more - it's our usual wake-up treat!

Thank you for taking the time to share your trip - much appreciated!

Have you guys made it to the Brooklyn Cafe? I think that may be called The Loft on the SeaScape. Looking forward to live jazz!

We are on the Seashore 10/27 also in YC!

  5. Hi Steph!

Just like you we are Carnival cruisers.  We have done 2 MSC cruises, One YC one not.

Nothing like the YC!  We did YC on Seaside (like you) and Divina we did Bella which convinced us that the YC is the way to go for us!

We will be going on the Seashore in October (Halloween cruise) in the YC and are so excited to get to Ocean Cay.  We never made it the last time it was scheduled due to high winds.

We also have 3 Carnival cruises in our near future and as you said, Carnival is home.

Have a blast and I will be following!👀

Yes to Wi-Fi. We upgrade it to the premium but it’s still discounted.

yes to room service. And there was a previous thread question about sodas. The person I spoke with on the phone when ordering (you have to call) offered to bring us sodas and water. We did get sodas through room service but we were good with water at the time. I order a water every time I order a drink and carry a purse that I shove about 4 into to bring back to the room so we are always stocked.

Did you upgrade to premium when you were on the ship?  Also, do you remember how much the upgrade was?  TIA!  This is my first Elite.

We did figure that out, but i don't think it was mentioned on the menu when we ordered, which is why it was a surprise.  The menu also didn't say it included pasta, I just assumed it did.

We assumed the same when we ordered.  I then asked for a side of pasta and i was finished with my chicken parm before they brought it.  lol

Not a big eater here, but I wanted more.   Was still a nice dinner, but would have like a bit more....especially the dessert.

**edit**  Also seems like I ordered Eggplant Parm, but it didn't come with noodles.  Seems like another person at my table ordered something and no noodles either.  Sort of strange.

None of the mains come with pasta-but you can order some.

Big Chicken has breakfast options and it's delicious! Chicken & biscuit for the most part, though I belive you could also order an omelet for breakfast there. Not sure about Emeril's as I didn't eat there but I believe they may only do lunch and dinner. Could be wrong though!

Emerils does breakfast but I dont remember the menu.

  10. I agree with sid-9169.  The steakhouse is always hit or miss for us and Rudi's has somewhat of a limited menu although the food is good.

But if you want variety, I would definetly go with Emerils. We have NEVER had a bad meal there in the 4 times we have been on Celebration.

Our absolute favorite though is Bonsai Teppanyaki.  The food is always good and you will not leave hungry.

    Have a great cruise!

Me too, frankly.  I'm trying to remember what we had at Cucina on Mardi Gras, but it was something a bit beyond what you listed.

I really love the free/included lunchtime stir-fry bowls at JiJi's and I was happy to find similar quality at Chibang on Mardi Gras.  I'm a fiend when it comes to Mongolian stir-fry.  🙂

We never DID go to Chibang for dinner due to poor reviews even back then, but we may remedy that on the Celebration in two months, though.

Been to Chibang on Celebration.  It's VERY noisy and the service is not that great.

The food is okay but the portions are small which surprised me.  We have been on the Celebration 4 times (going in September for the 5th time) and have not been back to Chibang since the first time.

Be sure not to miss Emerils.  There is a charge but it is nominal and the food is fabulous.

    Have a great cruise!
