  1. No explanation and I spoke again with them today. One could surmise from all of the posts that they are running low on operational cash flow and could not pay for hotels on front and back end of trip much else the ship. I should have known better since the airline tickets (saw receipt on delta) alone were $16,000 and the entire trip only cost me $19,000. Too good to be true usually is.  Wish I had paid by cc rather than check.

    I was just called and my May 12th cruise also cancelled one day before departure. They would not say anything other than vantage had cruise operational issues. I assume that means they have run out of money to operate most cruises and I had first class airline tickets that just vanished. They made me think they would redeposit $18,000 in my checking accounts. We shall see but not holding my breath. Will probably file complaint with my attorney general’s office here in Mississippi as that is what Massachusetts attorney general indicated we should do if not residing in state where vantage located.

    We are scheduled to leave on the 5th for the Douro River Trip. Ours journey goes from Lisbon to Madrid. After sending multiple emails to the Vantage gmail address (Vantagetravel.customercare@gmail.com), we received a call from "Fotene" (Vantage Air), this past Wednesday, 4/26. We had upgraded to Premium Economy so we have connecting flights. Fotene gave us new flights on United outbound and Lufthansa returning. I called each airline and we have been ticketed and was told the flights were paid for. I hope that helps.

    Have you had any problems and was the hotel okay and how is the ship and excursions so far. Please update if you can as we depart for Madrid Friday

    You may have better luck e mailing them with the e mail address they sent everyone a week ago as they answered me within 2 hours each time.

  5. Yes it has. We had a total of five cruises cancelled during Covid and are finally catching back up with our credits. Used our last Viking credit to visit Egypt last month and used our last Oceania credit to visit South America and Antarctica in January and using our last silver seas credit on a cruise to Alaska next June.

  6. Our flights to Madrid on May 12th were also pulled and our return two weeks later from Lisbon have also been pulled from airline web site. Talked to vantage before their phones went down and was told they would re book by tomorrow. We shall see. I am still hoping that what they are saying thru their e mails are correct and true.
