    We were in St Thomas yesterday and we were advised to take our passports as a precaution. They told us that in the event of an emergency we would not be able to board a plane.  From what I read, even a passport card won't work for a flight in the Caribbean.

     

    It's a precautionary thing.  I used my real id drivers license to get through port security without a problem.

Has anyone had problems receiving their medallions on time.  Our cruise is Nov 30th and our medallions made it to Jamaica, NY eight days ago.  The USPS tracking number indicates the package has "Arrived Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item" .  There has been no change since Nov 11th.  Princess says it isn't a big deal because we can always pick up the medallion at the port.  Contacting the post office does no good because even though there is a tracking number, they say they have yet to receive the item.

     

    I'm curious if anyone else has seen this.

Our long time PVP is also missing in action.  When I call her direct number I get her voice mail which says she is out of the office for a while and that I can reach another PVP by pressing (0).  She has been missing for about a year now and if I email her I get no response.  If I ask a specific question on the voice mail someone else calls me back and I always ask about the return of my own PVP.  I am always told that she is on leave for a while and "will return".

     

    We have used the same PVP for all of our 30+ princess cruises and are very loyal to her.  I am holding off on making my future cruise plans until she returns or until her voice mail is no longer available.

    I think they will work out fine, but I'm concerned about WHO can use them?

    There will be 5 names.  I was only able to sign up 3 names on Emed site.

    Only 1 name needed on Optum site.

     

     I read somewhere that the Monitors don't really look at WHO signed up ahead?

    Anybody have experience with this?  Thanks

    We have both platforms at our disposal and I found that some things that I couldn't complete on the Android, I could successfully complete with the IPhone/IPad, for instance, I was not allowed to update emergency contact with the Android but the IPad update worked fine.  In my opinion, the IPhone app simply runs more smoothly and is more consistent.

    I placed two orders, one for me and one for my wife.  Mine came through almost immediately, however, I did not receive even a confirmation email for my wife's order.  Both of our credit cards had been charged.  I called customer support (18339073079 | princess@buyatab.com) and they asked to reaffirm the information on my order and they opened a ticket to research the problem.  Within about two hours, the emails with the cards and pins and the receipt showed up.

     

    You might have to try that if you haven't already done so.

It is hard for me to understand why Princess would cut Loyalty OBC.  I don't know how many persons on a cruise would have 50+ sailings thus saving Princess $100 each, but that number doesn't seem like it would be worth the bad PR.  We only have half that many cruises so we will lose $25 each.  

     

    We have been loyal to Princess for many reasons and gaining an additional perk at 21st cruise was nice but hardly a deal maker and for future cruises it won't be a deal breaker either.  They earned our loyalty thru good courteous service, friendly smiles, and providing a generally welcoming atmosphere.  We'll make the most of the benefits that we are provided.

    I have reasonably a high-end phone - Samsung S10e running Android 11. The app doesn't function for me. I can't get into any of the required stuff - I just get the "not working now" and "all hands on tech" message. If I try to go into the Medallion selection section I get a "loading" message and then a blank white screen that never goes away. I have to force exit to get out of the white screen. I've deleted the app, waited a few days, and then re-installed it from the Play Store. It simply doesn't work for me. Why aren't they addressing these issues?  I've submitted feedback, gotten a reply asking for all my cruise info, phone info, etc., replied with the requested info, and then nothing. It's been a while now - I submitted the requested info on June 12th. Today is June 22nd. Crickets. I'll "nudge" them again but don't have a great deal of hope.

    I'm having some of the same problems. I also have Samsung 10e/ Android 11.  I reloaded the app several times to no avail and then it finally it worked.  I believe I had cleared the cache before the last reload but not sure.  Some things still do not work for me, though.  I had to log on from my IPad in order to change my emergency contact info.  The phone app gave me the "not available at this time" response.

    The link to the FAQ is confusing to me.  They very first two words of the FAQs are "These cruises".  I'm having trouble deciphering what are "these cruises"  Is there a list associated with the statement somewhere that I am missing?

    You asked about 2023 sailings?  My PVP told me the Fall & Winter 2022 Caribbean cruises should be available in May.  2023 sailings would likely be a year after that.
