  1. I really want to believe you are being truthful, I do. But, if you are in a mobility scooter you don't need FTTF for what you are describing. If you've cruised at all you know the order of boarding, and you'd be on the ship right after diamond, platinum and FTTF with that money still in your pocket.

My biggest question relates to what does FTTF offer for you in the way of bathroom access, exploring the ship or eating? Do you see where you derailed on common sense?

Hit me with your best shot...

    .

Even if they still had disabled board in that order which they no longer do. You are in the same boarding number as the rest of your party or time you signed up for. Lets stick with that scenario for a minute, I get priority boarding with no FTTF, I am still DUMPED in the atrium with no access to my room just like everyone else who is waiting for rooms to be available. Cruising alone, I have nobody to push me around not body to take me to the rest room etc...... I am literally stuck waiting for my ride.

Now with FTTF, I still am escorted on the ship and still dumped in the atrium to wait from my next escort to my cabin, last time it took me over a hour. Mind you I paid for the service to get to my cabin sooner. I did not even care if I had to wait for my scooter at least I could be in a cabin to relax and use the rest room and such if needed. If you have a family or a friend you would not need a additional escort but some disabled cruisers don't have that option.

They stopped having disabled cruisers go behind the FTTF recently because the same rationale was have grandma or grams limp a little and our party of 20 gets in first and saves mega bugs, aka/scamming the system. I am so tired of seeing people abusing the system with no regard of how it effects others.

  2. Why are you calling this scamming? I mean, Carnival is scamming customers already by making them think paying money for free items is great. So if Carnival can scam, why can't a customer scam back?

Now that is pure logic. Entitlement at its finest.

This is my 3rd cruise with Carnival and all 3 I have HAD to buy FTTF, not because of I wanted to dump my luggage, it is because I am disabled and my Mobility Scooter is in my cabin, if I do not buy one because of the rules, I would be dumped in the atrium until all rooms are ready so maybe 3-4 hours with no possible way to use the rest room, no way to explore the ship, no way to get some food, no way to even watch outside until a escort comes to collect me when the rooms are ready. It pisses me off to read how selfish people are when they scam a company that gives us a great vacation only to have people say I will do as I wish screw everyone else. It would really suck if a family of 4 that only paid for one cabin to abuse the system this way. Don't say wait until 2-3pm to board since then all the HC parking spots are too far to get assistance.

If you want to use FTTF then BUY it! Don't scam the company and make others that actually paid for the service to wait because oh woe is me I have to haul my carry on around.

  3. It is called scamming but feel free, since most people on this site thinks scamming/cheating/smuggling is ok, since rules don't apply to them. Why should you use the service on all your luggage that you did not pay for? I suppose all the people who actually paid for the service can have their luggage delayed so you can use the service for both cabins.

  4. So if you go buy a shirt at a store but it also fits your daughter , you will not allow her to wear it do to principals and morals. Your post has to be a joke

What has a shirt have to do with breaking rules or scamming from a company? Not sure why you think my post is a joke because I choose not to steal or scam? Here is a newsflash, not every person is dishonest in the world.

Am I perfect? No, but I do try every day not to be tempted by things that I know is wrong. Someone made the comment about Ice lemon water, just so happens that is what I drink each and every day, I have every intention of ASKING for lemons before I just take them. I will be sure to let them know it will be for my water I will be drinking on board.

I will tip the bartender if I get them from a bar instead of the Lido.

  5. Hello everyone going on Vista, question on the 1-750ml wine/champagne bottle per adult on debarkation day...

I enjoy Remy 1738 Champagne Cognac, would this brand be probhibited to bring on with carryon, I know policy states wine or champagne only , but technically bottles reads champagne Cognac, any thoughts? Don't want to buy 2 bottles and to try bring on board and lose out on $100+... should I contact carnival?

It should not be allowed, but a call to Carnival would not hurt, I caution you IF you are told you can bring it on board, get it in writing.

    From the website:

    This is an authentic cognac

  6. Just get a hard boil egg and cottage cheese back from the lido deck and eat them on the balcony. I am thinking it has to be a meal they can prepare hours ahead of time. Would you want to eat protein of any kind that was prepared at 2 am? Salmon would be a night mare.

Limited menu so it does not take forever to prepare and deliver. You must remember you may want your breakfast at 6 am but others may want it later or earlier.

  7. I guess with that then all our children are doomed and will be liars, thieves, etc bc EVERYONE breaks some rules SOMETIME. If you want to continue to convince yourself you are perfect, the exception, then go ahead. But I guarantee that mentality will have far worse outcome on your children than letting them go to a comedy show or serenity deck. :halo: :')

I love your post on the other thread how to circumvent the "Cheers" rule. That was priceless.

  8. I'm taking advantage of Cheers with the two room option. My son and I are assigned to one cabin, my wife and two daughters are in the adjoining cabin. When I ordered Cheers for my cabin, I was charged for only one person.

ROFL!!!!! Lets teach people how to circumvent the Cheers rule too. Priceless.

  9. This has a bit of a self-righteous air to it. Stealing food or drinks from bubbles is a ridiculous comparison to going to Comedy or serenity. Nowhere near the same. My children have witnessed me correcting places when they don't charge me for something and returning wallet, cash, or even ipod once that I found. I highly doubt allowing them to go to a couple places on a cruise ship teaches them to steal or lie. If anyone would have asked their age they would have told the truth.

I also highly doubt that you've never done anything that some terms indicated differently. This is in comparison to the people of your mindset that like to say speeding isn't a good example. I bet you have sped somewhere and that actually has ability to maybe cause bodily harm what bodily harm am I causing to someone.

It is exact same thing, it is a rule. You can choose to teach your children rules don't apply to them or tell them they are not allowed. You can not pick and choose what rule or law to break and expect children to learn the difference.

    t

  10. Yes you can lie and bring your kids where they are not allowed.

Yes you can smuggle booze that is not allowed.

Yes you can steal and share a Cheers/bubbles.

Yes you can steel cereal and take 30 boxes home for your house.

Yes you can order 30 lobsters on Elegant night.

Yes you can scam the cruise line to get aboard earlier.

Yes you can do a lot of things, but did you stop and wonder what that is teaching your children?

And the cycle continues, what will they teach your grandkids? This post is not directed at any particular person, just a thought about honesty and what is right and what is wrong.

  11. You could also smuggle lobster down your pants to take out of the MDR on Elegant night then you can take your premium booze that you smuggle off the ship and have a snack to go with it. Hey since you paid for it, you may want to take of advantage of the lobsters too.

I heard 30+boxes of cereal from the lido is a easy way to maximize too. Take it home to feed the youngens for weeks. Ask the gal who did that for real, how much of a deal that was.

  12. How does one ascertain that someone is faking being disable?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I love when people question my disability. I want to whip my shirt off and tell them see that 3 foot scar on my back, that is where they removed my lung and rib due to a lung disease which has left me very limited lung capacity.

Just because I don't have a leg missing or I am not 98 pounds soaking wet don't assume I don't have a disability.

I actually had a fellow cruiser tell me if I was not so fat I could actually walk, this was because she ignored me in the MDR line for a Sea Day Brunch her entire party walk past me and was trying to get seated first. The hostess heard the conversation and came out and got me from the line and said she was so sorry for the rude behavior of some people.

Another group at the photos kept ignoring me and the first time I just left to see another group of photos until they were done, they came where I had just came and walked right in front of me and I said excuse me, I am looking here, again I got nothing but brutal berating, this time they said they should ban those ..... scooters "all those ..... are rude".

Same cruise where a group of 8 just about started a riot because staff was only allowing mobility cruiser to use the elevators after the muster briefing. That was a nightmare, Staff yelled at me to come back and get on the elevator, I said I don't need this stress, so I left very quickly.

This was a b2b cruise the first cruise I had zero issues, but the 2nd one, there was a gangbanger wedding going on that there was several rude cruisers. Mind you most of the party was very respectful and helpful but some were not.

It got so bad my last sea day I no longer felt safe so I stayed in my cabin most of the day.

I get a FTTF every cruise to avoid issues. I cruise solo and it is a huge issue for me to stand for more than 2 minutes, I am taken on board in a wheel chair and then I get my mobility scooter in the cabin once on board.

Cruising with family you should not have a issue. You can always "borrow" a wheel chair once you get to the port to help board. You may not keep it however, you must rent one for the trip.

  13. Congrats! The Victory is a great choice, it was my first ship too. As well as your ports.

Key West- hop on the train/tram hop on/off choice and just explore this great town, people watch, shop and then have a great lunch. I suggest Sloppy Joes I believe its call great food. Stroll down to the docks and look at the amazing ships in port. You could do the "Most southern point" I passed on that one.

Cozumel I just explored on my own, then had a nice lunch over looking the port. Pick up some vanilla for bakers back home.

Pack light, you wont need much.

  14. Dear Carnival, If you read this site, Please offer me an Upsell for a 4J cabin on Deck Three on the Carnival Sunshine, sailing to Bermuda in Sept. of 2018. Or an ocean view on Deck Five. Please

I have 17 cruises on Carnival. Fifteen more on Hal. Princess. Celebrity. NCL. RCI.

    I have never caused a disturbance.\

I always buy Carnival Shore excursions.

We eat in the Steakhouse for celebrations

We always recommend Carnival to our Friends

    We always return to Carnival

Trivia is fun. Food is better. Ship is sparkling clean. People are more fun. We don't drink and turn in by ten.

    I shop in Fun Stores.

If I write a review for Cruise Critic, and I usually do, the review is glowing. Never had a bad sailing on a Carnival Ship. Never had an issue with Carnival, other than never getting an offer. My daughter and her family went on one Carnival Cruise with us. I paid. She gets offers every other month. She is a primitive camping and hiking sort of Girl anyway. Hiking the Rockies and such.

I never get an Offer. Not a VIP offer. Not a casino Offer. Not an upgrade sell. Why we have fifteen cruises on other lines.

Please. Please. Sell me a 4J cabin or an ocean view on Deck Five for that Bermuda sailing. I am more loyal than the Family dog. . Or put me on a waiting list. Please

A for effort. I did not know the upgrade fairy reads this forum. I would give it to you.
