  1. We did not request a table size and we were preassigned to a table of 6.  I saw very few tables for two, maybe three or four. I think you can request a table for two when you make your booking.  We were very fortunate to have wonderful tablemates.

  2. Thank you.  We left on the day you answered, but what you said is what happened.  The guide on our first premium tour passed a hat for gratuities.  Some people thought it was for the driver and guide.  When they asked the driver if the guide had shared the tips, the answer was no.  We noticed that on the HOHO no one tipped the guides, since they did not have the same guide after they hopped off and on.

The excursion manager on the ship never mentioned tipping in any of her presentations.

  3. I found the WIFI very good from our cabin,  Never had a problem connecting.  Service was very good.  Sometimes a wait between courses, but this gave us more time to get to know our tablemates.

  4. We are back from our May 23 cruise.  We had a great time.

Report on aft cabins:  We had cabin 368 at the rear of boat.  Noise was tolerable.  At times during the night, it would get very loud.  It sometimes woke me up..  There was a constant engine noise when under way, but it was  not bothersome.  There was no spray from the paddle and we loved sitting out on our balcony.  The room was good size and bathroom was very large and beautiful.   We would not book this cabin again.

Food was excellent and my husband had two lobster tails every night.  He is a picky eater, but enjoyed all of the appetizers, salads, soups and dessert along with his lobster.  I enjoyed a variety of entrees and enjoyed them all, The entertainment was very good.  The same three people every night, but varied programs.  They were very talented.  Ports were not very interesting and many times, nothing was open (Memorial Day weekend).  We enjoyed our extra nights in Nashville and Louisville,  The Quilt Museum in Paducah was interesting.  The Lincoln tour from Brandenberg was also interesting.

    Any Questions?

  5. I understand gratuities ($19.50 each person) are charged to your account daily and paid at the conclusion of your cruise.  Does this include the bus drivers of the Hop-on-hop-off busses?

    Thanks

On the Countess now and a friend traveling with me is in a back cabin over the paddlewheel. She says it's not bad- inside the cabin she can slightly hear it but she says its not bothersome. If you want to sit outside on your balcony,  you will hear it, of course.  It's kinda relaxing watching that wheel turn!

Thank you.  We booked 368 on the corner.  This is reassuring.

  8. Can anyone tell ne about the Just Water package?

It says 6 liter package is $16.95.  Is this one 6 liter pkg  or individual 1 liter pkgs.

    Water Packages

Hydrate yourself! Pre-order water packages that will be delivered directly to your stateroom for the duration of your cruise and save up to 60%. Norwegian Cruise Line has recently partnered with JUST® Goods, Inc. and replaced all single-use plastic bottles across the fleet with Just Water. The revolutionary company focuses on an impact model, taking into consideration both how the water is sourced and packaged. JUST is 100% spring water in a plant-based carton. Not sure how we will know if you will be tired...we don't know you.

We have a 24 day cruise coming up in May/June. I think there are 3 sea days in the entire cruise. As others have mentioned, you may have to pace yourself. Not every port requires an 8 hour excursion. Maybe a beach day, or a 4 hour excursion, or just walking around for a couple of hours, if easily done.

Have to admit a 10 day cruise with no sea days is fairly rare. Is every day a full 8 or more hours in port?

It is a Baltic cruise on Oceana.  Most days are 8 am to 5 pm  with an overnight in St Petersburg.  We are spending 3 days before in Copenhagen and 3 days in Stockholm at the end.  I am thinking about taking Hop on Hop of where we can and as mentioned short walks at some ports. The only place I have been to is St Petersburg, but that was many years ago. Trying to find a slow paced tour for there.  I guess we will find out if it too exhausting for us.  Thanks everyone for weighing in.

  11. I have waiting for this report, since we are spending 4 days in Abu Dhabi before our Constellation cruise in December. I followed your roll call and got some good information. Your reports are always interesting and your photos are beautiful. Very good information. We have been considering the hop on hop off bus, but may reconsider and take a private tour. I am checking out your tour company. We also live in Fl, but have decided to take a non-stop flight from Orlando to Dubai and then taxi to Abu Dhabi. Our cruise stops in Dubai for a few days. Thanks for all the help.

  12. No, I booked cruise only. I think the refund ablecredit came from my TA.I also had nonrefundable OBC from a Bon Appetite wine package. I wanted them to apply it to my account to cover the gratuities but they wouldn't do it. So I took the cash and put the gratuities on my credit card. This is the first time a cruise would not allow me to use OBC for paying gratuities.

We are going on our first Oceania cruise in December. Are you saying that on board credit from them or travel agent can not be used to pay gratuities? We have always been able to use both credits to pay gratuities on other cruise lines. I hope this is not true.

  13. Anyone else having issues with their website? I log into my account, then a blank screen... Tried two days in a row now. I'll wait a few more days, then call them.

I haven't been able to access my booking for three weeks. I called yesterday and the agent told me that "there must be a problem, because I can't access your booking either" This has me very upset. After being on hold for 20 minutes, she told me that it should be fixed in 24 hours - well it is still not fixed. What to do? What to do?
